@@protomedia8325 I think Glory would still be different. A lot of a person's personality and thought processes are influenced by their Experiences, *but-* everyone has a default way of acting, independent of experience.

As always, amazing art. Could you do a "What if Sky was a firescales instead?" Like what would have happened if Peril, with the same personality, just slightly tilted and without firescales, ended up with Wren, and Sky was the one Scarlet raised as her champion. (He has firescales instead of Peril)
I imagine it would be the exact same. Although Peril would never have fallen in love with Clay, never have saved him, all of the consequences might just happen later on in the book.

It's just our own way of imagining a small part of the infinite possibilities that could arise from tweaking a single event. You and Dogloverlikesdoge are just masterful at this! A dragon without use of his back legs would likely be almost uninhibited- cats with similar injuries can get around fine and given that wof dragons have hooked claws on their wings he could likely use them as an extra set while walking/climbing.
@@jadedesigns6171 it’s not, the disabled cats in warriors are consistently written as being far more affected by their handicaps than real world cats with similar injuries! I used cats as an example because dragons are often drawn with feline body shapes.

What if Kestrel managed to kill Glory? Don’t shoot me I just want to see how the other dragonets react to her death and if Clay and Tsunami attack Kestrel for it or something like that.
I can do it! Clay perked up his ears in surprise. The hole to get to the outside world-in the water tunnel-was blocked. Suddenly, he heard screams coming from above. He burst his head through the surface, and what he saw shocked him. | Tsunami breathed heavily. Glory was dead. Sunny looked horrified, Starflight looked like he had nixed feelings, Clay looked like he wanted to bury himself alive, and Tsunami herself...well, she just couldn't believe it. The sarcastic, hard-working RainWing of the group, the literal one named GLORY, was dead. And Kestrel had a SATISFIED FACE. Tsunami felt rage boil up inside her, to the point where she broke the chains with a single snap of her teeth.
Tsunami roared at Kestrel and charged at her, being careful to not tread on Glory’s body. Clay watched all this, stunned. Glory’s scales were a plain white, but with… pink. Like her last words were, ‘I love you all.’ Sunny was crying strongly and so was Starflight, now. Tsunami ripped Kestrel’s underbelly as the other dragonets started screaming in horror and sadness. Someone can continue this. :D
I really love this what if video. I really never thought about what might have happened if the Skywing egg actually survived, and now that I think about it, I really am sad that the Skywing egg didn't survive. But I absolutely love the video. The story fits perfectly and I love Finch and his personality. I absolutely burst out laughing when Finch set Scarlet's tail on fire! You are so good at this. Anyways you should totally keep doing these what if scenarios.
I love this what if so much! And the drawing is amazing! Sunny looks so cute and happy, just how she should it's amazing! If you would like more ideas for What Ifs (If you don't, just ignore this bit, because you're probably really busy) AU where Kestrel took Sky and 'Killed' Peril. If she was tangled in that bush it would burn, and Wren wouldn't go anywhere near her, so when Kestrel came back to find her, she would be able to raise both of them. She would have to look after the prophecy dragonets as well as her own, but she would probably be less grumpy, because she is in better circumstances. AU where Orca killed Coral AU where one of the SandWing sisters became queen rather than Thorn AU where Smolder and Palm managed to escape AU where Albatross never went insane, therefore Fathom never meets Darkstalker and Clearsight AU where Cottonmouth never found the root
There's been a lot of stuff about the Skywing egg, weather it be the one in TDP prolouge or EP prolouge, and this was a really great direction it could have gone! Kestrel not changing one bit even if there was a skywing is something I haven't seen. Could you consider What would happen if Scarlet used Darkstalkers scroll to transform the Dragonets of Destiny like she did with Hailstorm?
Not gonna lie, this is likely my favorite of all of the “what ifs”! I love skywings and love to think about if the skywing had survived, and the disability representation and showing how they can still make a difference and do the right thing despite their disability is just *chef’s kiss* perfection!
that WOULD be nice, except cyprus has made alot of "what ifs" that wouldnt make up. like the "what if stonemover and thorn stayed together" stuff like that. just wouldnt really add up and would be very confusing(because she would have to add this video, and but then she wouldnt have gone there and stuff)
Suggestions: What if Foeslayer never took off her earring? (What if Foeslayer wasn’t kidnapped by Queen Diamond) What if Starflight died in the arena? What if Queen Battlewinner died? (From the frostbreath) What if Peril and Sky swapped roles? What if Gill survived?
I loved this! I felt incredibly sympathetic for Finch, he is so much like Osprey! I really liked old Osprey, he was a good dragon under a terrible queen. I feel bad about how Kestrel treated Finch, he was a SkyWing but she still hated him. I do like that Glory got to grow up in the rainforest and not a cold cramped and demeaning cave for her childhood.
Wait what if starflight was hatched in front of the moons what if sunny was there too would sunny get the powers how would starflight react would he tell the guardians?

Ik I'm a year+ late, but Starflight and Sunny (I do believe NightWing hybrids can have mind reading and/or foresight; I mean, look at Darkstalker) with powers would be a major game changer (also, the thought of them secretly communicating while in the hidden cave is neat as well). Tsunami with animus magic would probably halve the length of the first arc lmao

In Escaping Perils' prologue, it's mentioned that one Skywing egg did survive. A lot of people assumed that it was the one Burn killed, but if you read through it you'll see that she killed it before then actually :) I'd be really interested to know what happened to them lol
Well clearly the public doesn’t know it exists as in book 4 it is said that no Skywing eggs survived (though this is in book 4 and you are referencing book 8)
I wonder what they would think if they knew that the prophecy was supposed to include a Skywing, but included Glory instead. How would he or she react? Would they be incensed about missing a great destiny and having a Rainwing in their place? Be relieved that they didn’t have to be a part of it? Or would they just not care?
Perfect video to listen to as I play a game and mine in wild space. Mining is not the most fun thing, unless a pirate happens to come along. Then it's too exciting. This way I can listen and not get bored.

Little thing: Finch would still be able to move around without his back legs. They might have been able to drag themself around using their front legs. We know this because cats and other animals have done it before.
I imagine this is in the same universe as "If Glory lived in the rainforest" I remember I started working on an AU like this but instead of being raised with the other dragonets the Skywing was found and raised by scavengers(this was before the Dragon Slayer book came out)
This was so interesting to watch! I loved the name Finch for the SkyWing, and also the representation and such with him being crippled. It stayed similar to the original arc but also had its variations, which made it very interesting to watch. Overall very awesome what if! Also yayyy! My fanart was on the roll at the end! :D
Amazing vid as always. I have a few ideas for more What ifs: What if Icicle killed Starflight, What if Wren never met Sky, What if Peril and Sky met at the Sand Kingdom. The last one I am really curious about. These ideas might not be made into a video but I just want to know what would happen.
Okay, I have some fun, and a bit of weird What if ideas. What if Hope/Foeslayer adopted Queen Glory since she doesn't exactly have parents. What if Glory trained the RainWings even harder, and they finally committed. What if Starflight had NightWing powers What if the Lord of the Indestructible City found Wren and tried to make her work for him, him still thinking she could control dragons. With that out of the way, I just wanna say good job Cyprus. You're a really good theorist. Loved the art and how the made the SkyWing not agressive.
i love the idea of the skywing dragonet surviving. really enjoyed this one! i think it's interesting to do this type of series because it inspires a lot of people, including me, to mix the cannon series up, be creative, and enjoy it! :D so cool!
This is a awesome idea! Another cool what if is what if peril was born on the brightest night and was one of the dragonets of destiny, due to timelines it would make alot of events be changed or not happen at all like hvitur (probably not spelt correctly let's just role with it) not dying and maybe kestrel being the one to die protecting her dragonets (maybe perils twin lives too)

wow, I have seen a LOT of what if? videos on this topic, but I have to say, this is by far the most creative one. Everyone else usually has the dragonet be female, for one, but I like that this one is a boy. And two, lots of people usually have the SkyWing dragonet favored by Kestrel because they think the SkyWing dragonet would have felt like an adopted dragonet to Kestrel, after she thought Peril and Sky died. But it makes sense that the dragonet would have had injuries from a fall like that, and Kestrel definitely would have hated that.
Yay we still have queen meltyface in this timeline! And I recommend "What if Darkstalker had the mental disorder?" I forgot what it is called, but it could be like Darkstalker and Whiteout switched, I think it could be fun to do!

Think of this: all three of the girl dragons became royalty (glory becomes queen sunny becomes princess and tsunami was always a princess) but both the boys got forever injuries (clay with a disabled leg and starlight blind) like wow its kinda sad
They’ve all gotten captured/injured, alone. Tsunami with her battle with Whirlpool in the tunnels of the sea kingdom, Clay, I guess in the arena, but also in the sandwing palace, Glory and Starflight in the night kingdom And sunny in the SandWing palace.
I love exploring new ideas and concepts and even though Glory is one of my favorite characters and the series wouldn't be the same without her I love this concept and this new skywing character ❤️
Questions about this: How did Finch hide until Clay and Tsunami got back? Why weren’t Sunny and Finch on display and hanging on the ceiling like Sunny was in the canon books? Why did Osprey decide to help the dragonets in this au, but not canonly? Why did Peril attack Scarlet in this one, when she didn’t get angry at Scarlet- at least she didn’t attack her- in the books? Why didn’t Clay and Tsunami convince Peril to help free their friends? It’s a good AU, but it has some major plot holes-

Clay perked up his ears in surprise. The hole to get to the outside world-in the water tunnel-was blocked. Suddenly, he heard screams coming from above. He burst his head through the surface, and what he saw shocked him. | Tsunami breathed heavily. Glory was dead. Sunny looked horrified, Starflight looked like he had nixed feelings, Clay looked like he wanted to bury himself alive, and Tsunami herself...well, she just couldn't believe it. The sarcastic, hard-working RainWing of the group, the literal one named GLORY, was dead. And Kestrel had a SATISFIED FACE. Tsunami felt rage boil up inside her, to the point where she broke the chains with a single snap of her teeth.
Tsunami roared at Kestrel and charged at her, being careful to not tread on Glory’s body.
Clay watched all this, stunned. Glory’s scales were a plain white, but with… pink. Like her last words were, ‘I love you all.’
Sunny was crying strongly and so was Starflight, now. Tsunami ripped Kestrel’s underbelly as the other dragonets started screaming in horror and sadness.
Someone can continue this. :D
Sunny cried loudly running to clay in fear hiding behind him. “Glory.. WHY GLORY!?”
I really love this what if video. I really never thought about what might have happened if the Skywing egg actually survived, and now that I think about it, I really am sad that the Skywing egg didn't survive. But I absolutely love the video. The story fits perfectly and I love Finch and his personality. I absolutely burst out laughing when Finch set Scarlet's tail on fire! You are so good at this. Anyways you should totally keep doing these what if scenarios.
I love this what if so much! And the drawing is amazing! Sunny looks so cute and happy, just how she should it's amazing!

AU where Kestrel took Sky and 'Killed' Peril. If she was tangled in that bush it would burn, and Wren wouldn't go anywhere near her, so when Kestrel came back to find her, she would be able to raise both of them. She would have to look after the prophecy dragonets as well as her own, but she would probably be less grumpy, because she is in better circumstances.
AU where Orca killed Coral
AU where one of the SandWing sisters became queen rather than Thorn
AU where Smolder and Palm managed to escape
AU where Albatross never went insane, therefore Fathom never meets Darkstalker and Clearsight
AU where Cottonmouth never found the root
There's been a lot of stuff about the Skywing egg, weather it be the one in TDP prolouge or EP prolouge, and this was a really great direction it could have gone! Kestrel not changing one bit even if there was a skywing is something I haven't seen.
Could you consider What would happen if Scarlet used Darkstalkers scroll to transform the Dragonets of Destiny like she did with Hailstorm?
Not gonna lie, this is likely my favorite of all of the “what ifs”! I love skywings and love to think about if the skywing had survived, and the disability representation and showing how they can still make a difference and do the right thing despite their disability is just *chef’s kiss* perfection!
Once this series is done, could you combine all of the “What Ifs?” To make a new Wings Of Fire

that WOULD be nice, except cyprus has made alot of "what ifs" that wouldnt make up. like the "what if stonemover and thorn stayed together" stuff like that. just wouldnt really add up and would be very confusing(because she would have to add this video, and but then she wouldnt have gone there and stuff)

I loved this! I felt incredibly sympathetic for Finch, he is so much like Osprey! I really liked old Osprey, he was a good dragon under a terrible queen. I feel bad about how Kestrel treated Finch, he was a SkyWing but she still hated him. I do like that Glory got to grow up in the rainforest and not a cold cramped and demeaning cave for her childhood.
Wait what if starflight was hatched in front of the moons what if sunny was there too would sunny get the powers how would starflight react would he tell the guardians?
What if Starflight (And Sunny, depending on your beliefs on NightWing hybrid magic) had the power of all the three moons? And if Tsunami/Sunny had Animus magic because of their heritage? (Couldn't think of anything for Clay or Glory lol)

Ik I'm a year+ late, but Starflight and Sunny (I do believe NightWing hybrids can have mind reading and/or foresight; I mean, look at Darkstalker) with powers would be a major game changer (also, the thought of them secretly communicating while in the hidden cave is neat as well). Tsunami with animus magic would probably halve the length of the first arc lmao

In Escaping Perils' prologue, it's mentioned that one Skywing egg did survive. A lot of people assumed that it was the one Burn killed, but if you read through it you'll see that she killed it before then actually :) I'd be really interested to know what happened to them lol
Well clearly the public doesn’t know it exists as in book 4 it is said that no Skywing eggs survived (though this is in book 4 and you are referencing book 8)
I wonder what they would think if they knew that the prophecy was supposed to include a Skywing, but included Glory instead. How would he or she react? Would they be incensed about missing a great destiny and having a Rainwing in their place? Be relieved that they didn’t have to be a part of it? Or would they just not care?
Perfect video to listen to as I play a game and mine in wild space. Mining is not the most fun thing, unless a pirate happens to come along. Then it's too exciting. This way I can listen and not get bored.

Ok watched it and, OMG THIS IS THE CRAZIEST THING EVER!!! THE LORE! THE STORY! THE ART! Truly just incredibly amazing! Actually just so cool wow- There are no words to describe how cool I think this is. The tiny details like Scarlet was always destined to have a ruined face, Thorn knowing Sunny is her daughter, even the bit where Finch broke his legs due to the fall. Absolutely love this :D
Can you please do “What if the history cave never blew up?” It sounds so cool and Umber and Carnelian would be in the story still or “What if Peril never ripped Darkstalker’s scroll?” The story would drastically change.

Little thing: Finch would still be able to move around without his back legs. They might have been able to drag themself around using their front legs. We know this because cats and other animals have done it before.

I imagine this is in the same universe as "If Glory lived in the rainforest" I remember I started working on an AU like this but instead of being raised with the other dragonets the Skywing was found and raised by scavengers(this was before the Dragon Slayer book came out)
This was so interesting to watch! I loved the name Finch for the SkyWing, and also the representation and such with him being crippled. It stayed similar to the original arc but also had its variations, which made it very interesting to watch. Overall very awesome what if!

Amazing vid as always. I have a few ideas for more What ifs: What if Icicle killed Starflight, What if Wren never met Sky, What if Peril and Sky met at the Sand Kingdom. The last one I am really curious about. These ideas might not be made into a video but I just want to know what would happen.
Okay, I have some fun, and a bit of weird What if ideas.
What if Hope/Foeslayer adopted Queen Glory since she doesn't exactly have parents.
What if Glory trained the RainWings even harder, and they finally committed.
What if Starflight had NightWing powers
What if the Lord of the Indestructible City found Wren and tried to make her work for him, him still thinking she could control dragons.
With that out of the way, I just wanna say good job Cyprus. You're a really good theorist. Loved the art and how the made the SkyWing not agressive.
i love the idea of the skywing dragonet surviving. really enjoyed this one! i think it's interesting to do this type of series because it inspires a lot of people, including me, to mix the cannon series up, be creative, and enjoy it! :D so cool!
This is a awesome idea! Another cool what if is what if peril was born on the brightest night and was one of the dragonets of destiny, due to timelines it would make alot of events be changed or not happen at all like hvitur (probably not spelt correctly let's just role with it) not dying and maybe kestrel being the one to die protecting her dragonets (maybe perils twin lives too)

wow, I have seen a LOT of what if? videos on this topic, but I have to say, this is by far the most creative one. Everyone else usually has the dragonet be female, for one, but I like that this one is a boy. And two, lots of people usually have the SkyWing dragonet favored by Kestrel because they think the SkyWing dragonet would have felt like an adopted dragonet to Kestrel, after she thought Peril and Sky died. But it makes sense that the dragonet would have had injuries from a fall like that, and Kestrel definitely would have hated that.
Yay we still have queen meltyface in this timeline! And I recommend "What if Darkstalker had the mental disorder?" I forgot what it is called, but it could be like Darkstalker and Whiteout switched, I think it could be fun to do!

Think of this: all three of the girl dragons became royalty (glory becomes queen sunny becomes princess and tsunami was always a princess) but both the boys got forever injuries (clay with a disabled leg and starlight blind) like wow its kinda sad

I love exploring new ideas and concepts and even though Glory is one of my favorite characters and the series wouldn't be the same without her I love this concept and this new skywing character ❤️
Questions about this: How did Finch hide until Clay and Tsunami got back? Why weren’t Sunny and Finch on display and hanging on the ceiling like Sunny was in the canon books? Why did Osprey decide to help the dragonets in this au, but not canonly? Why did Peril attack Scarlet in this one, when she didn’t get angry at Scarlet- at least she didn’t attack her- in the books? Why didn’t Clay and Tsunami convince Peril to help free their friends? It’s a good AU, but it has some major plot holes-
I think Peril attacking Scarlet was to make up for Glory not giving Scarlet her scar ^^ So Scarlet still gets her scar even without Glory in the story

@@mangotherainwing6866 You're right on several matters, yes, it didn't happen canonically, but I think it's 100% within reason. Peril often times went back and forth on many topics, and there's a chance she would've lashed out in the books as well

I really loved your skywing that you created to be in the prophecy. I think you should ask the creator of “wings of fire” if you can make books on your what ifs. Like put as many as you can together. Or have different series with them all.

A "What if Thorn got Stonemover's letter" could be very interesting. Would Thorn go find him? Would they raise Sunny in Jade Mountain? Would Sunny have siblings? There are so many good plot points.

What if one of the dragonets of destiny was a animus? those are the only ones i can think of hope you choose one of these! also i love your art style its adorable!
