The woman that cooked meals for people asked me if I want to try it and from the very first bite was hooked! My next order was three times as large...lol. She was going to teach me and I never made the time and not long after I found out she was in the hospital. She was feeling bad and when they opened her up, she was full of cancer. She never came home. I still think about her 25 years later. I've tried Trini myself but it just doesn't taste the same. I'm going to have to grow my own culantro. I cannot find it anywhere. Only in seed form.
Love this recipe! Was low on groceries and tried this with what I had in the kitchen and they came out perfect! Just like how they look in the video! Used just some white onion and pepper jack cheese for the filling. My dough needed a little bit more moisture so I just sprinkled some water over it while I was kneading it to get it to look like the videos version.

I made this and it was so good I try and make it at least once a week for a small snack (I don’t eat sweets)
