Ale's vocals are one of the reasons The Warning sounds so incredible live. Her harmonies play around in the melodies: sometimes low, sometimes in gorgeous falsetto, sometimes blending so closely with Dany you can barely tell she's singing at all. But lead? Yeah, catching Ale singing lead is a unicorn sighting, fersure fersure. There's a cool video of the sisters doing a "pitch challenge". Pau first, then Dany, then Ale - who obliterates her sisters.
Dude, we are not a bunch of peasants or slaves. Mexico is culturally diverse and for the most part, well educated. We’ve lacked leadership in our governments. But we are not a Speedy Gonzales cartoon.
@manuelrenteria8371 no one said you were any of that. If, however, inventing things to be offended at brings you joy, please carry on. I would not want to deny you that.
If Las Wawas had a song in Chinese, I'm sure the fans would learn how to sing it. We support them in any language. Not only in Mexico. And this is how it should be.
@@manuelrenteria8371 don't take it that way, actually it is exactly the other way in the sense that most English speakers do not need to learn other languages and they get surprised and amazed that people en Mexico can speak English and even French. All 3 sisters are absolutely riveting on stage. I think fans of Ale (I am one) are drawn to the paradox of the hard rocking introvert. Cool, dark, and mysterious, she’s the perfect compliment to Pau’s fiery explosiveness, and Dany’s sunny intensity.
One fan said that Ale is the show within the show. I was fortunate enough to see them perform and my head was on a swivel the entire show. "Riveting" is the correct term.
Pau's drumming is off the charts... I get dizzy trying to keep my eyes on her drumsticks as they fly from one part of the kit to another 😵💫 If there was a speed limit for drumsticks, she would get a ticket for speeding, for sure 😋 Not surprising at all that she got that drumeo award. There are a lot of great drummers out there, and then there's Pau. Ale's bass line, and Dany's vocals and guitar playing, well, no words needed, we all know. And when they are on that stage, they have enough energy to provide power to the whole arena. Actually, it wouldn't surprise me if their amps, at least, maybe even all the stage lights, run on pure PAU-er.
One of my favorites. Dany is so expressive and animated. Paulina shows a little bit of why she was Drumeo drummer of the year. Ale is just as cool as they come. They certainly are one addiction I can get behind.
An amazing band, yes. This song was already one of my faves when I first heard it. It isn't a hard rocker, but the melody and the way it's performed is just catchy as all get out. Dany is a remarkable front person. All 3 are seasoned performers while only just breaking into their 20s. Great reaction, Jess. Keep 'em coming!
Funnily enough, even though Ale has perfect pitch, she doesn't like to sing lead. She only does backing vocals. There are videos out there of her singing lead when Dany needs to rest her voice during a live show, but it's very rare.
True, although perfect pitch just means that they can identify notes just by hearing it. It doesn’t mean they can sing in tune😂. Even so, I respect Ale’s decision not to sing lead ❤
@@lauriep2018Partly correct, but all three were on a pitch app and had to sing the pitch in tune before it would progress to the next pitch. Pau had🎉 the most difficulty. Dany was close and only two pitches she had difficulty. Ale was, of course, pitch perfect and didn’t miss any except the top pitch that was beyond her range. Ale is also on video taking bass lessons where she was much younger and her teacher had her demonstrate her ability by playing a note and then he tells her to sing the 4th step up and then do it again all thru the scale. While she sings the pitch her teacher then plays it on the bass and she’s perfect, She’s amazing. That video is online but I think it’s actually a Warning video, should be able to find it.
Ale doesn’t like to sing lead much, but her harmonies are always on pitch and in tune. In this case, her high harmonies at the very end of the song are almost angelic imo.
if Ale came out by herself with a new song and sat down at a grand piano and the lights went dim i'm not sure my skin could handle the giantic goosebumps before the 1st note was even played, i still would like to give it a go tho, thanks for sharing, awesome reaction!!
It is an obsession Juliett...I am obsessed. Best band I have found in over 60 years of listening to Rock music without any doubt. Have to listen to them every single day...have all the Albums and much of the merch to support these ladies. Great reaction.
"Amour" dives into the messy, intense side of love-the kind that’s equal parts passion and destruction. It’s about two people who are completely broken yet drawn to each other, feeding off their pain as much as their connection. Lines like "Life is better when broken, you get just what you think you should" capture that idea of embracing the chaos in their relationship. The French lyrics-"Je t'aime pour toujours, Mon coeur est tien, Je te déteste, amour de ma vie, Je ne mens pas, je t'adore" ("I love you forever, My heart is yours, I hate you, love of my life, I’m not lying, I adore you")-say it all. It's love and hate all rolled into one, and neither can exist without the other. Pau was inspired to write the song after watching Ratatouille. There’s this scene where a couple is arguing in a way that feels completely unhinged-they’re shouting, and at one point, there’s even a gun involved. But out of nowhere, all that anger flips into a heated kiss. It’s chaotic and intense, but it’s also oddly tender in its own way. That energy is what Pau captured in "Amour." It’s not about clean, perfect love-it’s about the kind that makes you bleed but also makes you feel alive.
According to some music experts, this song is very simple, but they also agree that the Ale Bass is spectacular, the Pau drums are wonderful, and the voice of Dany plus her guitar are magical and then make this song unique
Ale has sung lead a few times when Dany needed to rest her voice. No official video but check out Red Hands or Hunter from back in very early 2020. Fan cam video when they opened for Stryper.
If you want to to see Ale laying back and push a cool jazz beat, find the Sirius xm clip of them doing "You Ought to know" ( Alanis Morrissette). Dany, of course, sings it in a manner that makes you wonder if the subject of the song is going to survive until next week...
I just love this song, all three ladies stand out in this song! Ale has such a wonderful voice, but unfortunately doesn’t like to sing lead! Something will have to change for her to be willing to sing lead, although she sings a lot more background vocals and harmonies on the new album!!😊🎶⚡️
If you want more of Ale singing, then check out MORE from the Pepsi center concert. Ale has a short vocal solo in that song as well. You could also check out their Quarantine Official Show. They streamed this from The Warning cave after having to cancel the 2020 concert tour. You can find this on their channel under the Live heading. it is 1:39:37 long and is a lot of fun. Ale sings lead on at least one song in this. :) For something new I would suggest: Freeze The Fall with the song Masquerade. They have an official music video, as well as two live performances on their channel. Unpolished* with the song Hollybaby. It is the first song and video they posted to You Tube about 2 and 1/2 months ago. They currently have three music videos up, as well as lyric videos for the first two, and there are connections between them, so watching them in order makes sense. If they keep to the way they have been posting then perhaps there will be another video in a couple of weeks.
FTF is an awesome up and coming band I hope gets to play open for The Warning in their NA tour next year or at some point. Much love to them and Platinum Moon, both excellent rock bands just starting out. ❤️⚡🤘 Loved the reaction!
The Warning have been improving my life since 2017 with their great community and inspired many new artist and Freeze The Fall are a band to keep an eye on. Freeze The Fall are 17yo Quinn guitar/vocals who taught herself guitar to The Warning's Queen Of The Murder Scene album at 11yo, Aria 16yo bass/vocals started ukulele at 7yo and switched to bass at 13yo and now plays 5 string Dingwall fan fret bass and 16yo Jonah on drums who turns drum sticks to saw dust and called The Destroyer. Some of us The Warning Army have been supporting them and are part of the Cold Front. their newest drop is VHS and is horror movie based so a warning on that one and their debut ep thrones is stellar.
One of the rest recordings of Ale singing is in the "Patreon Anniversary Show" concert (obviously on Patreon). Ale sings the whole Hunter (it starts after 1:45:00) and it is really well recorded (after the first few seconds). She absolutely has a great voice.
Ale's vocals are in the mix more than you realize she can mimic either Dany or Pau ... she can sing but chooses mostly harmonies and background ... think she just likes to hang back and look cool as shit
"Amour" is one of many The Warning songs with lyrics and melody in tension; sounds like a beautiful sweet love song but definitely isn't. I get the fascination with Ale; part is how mysterious, elegant, chill/cool Ale is while doing incredibly difficult playing yet acting like it's easy, (that's a Jazz thing, Ale's hair flip/smirk are very much "Elvis"). Ale's The Warning's foundation. I love Rock and Jazz. First time hearing Ale, only 16, yet a world-class Jazz bassist playing Rock and the youngest Spector Signature Bassist ever. How? Ale plays with crystal clarity, perfect timing/pitch, absorbed the music of Jaco Pastorius, legendary Jazz Bassist, greatest Bassist of all time. Ale's amazing in "Amour" yet listen to the cover of "You Oughta Know" and "Apologize". Ale rewrote Flea's "You Oughta Know" Bass-line, injecting Jazz. Ale plays it live like it's nothing; Flea couldn't get the timing right after a ton of studio takes. Dany has very difficult slide work in "Apologize" so Ale plays the Bass-line, much of the Melody-line, and creates crazy percussion by plucking the B-string with such force I was sure she'd pull the string off. Ale fits in an incredibly beautiful Bass solo starting about half-way through the song, just as Dany is singing "And I don't meant to make you nervous..", and Ale also sings! It's Next-Level! Currently what Ale does is in the domain of great Jazz Bassists (absolute mastership and doing incredible difficult playing all while remaining super-chill as if it's actually nothing is very much Jazz). TTBOMK few in Rock today other than Ale do what she does, especially live. Go back to Chris Squire of "Yes" and find a Rock Bassist with the talent and desire to consistently pull this off. Squire was considered the most dominant/ talented Bassist of all English Progressive rock bands, known for his elaborately contoured melodic Bass lines and crystal clear sound. Ale is a primary reason The Warning has their amazing timing, incredible Wall of Sound, and that beautiful 80's vibe everyone loves; it's intrinsic to The Warning's music because much of the Rock of the 80's was infused with the rhythms and melodies of Jazz, and the Jazz-Fusion and Progressive movements, and it's Ale that's the master of those musical forms. It's no accident that the Bass is so prominent in The Warning's songs. This is what is possible when your youngest sister, the Bassist, is this talented; you can build many of your songs around Ale's Bass and even start many songs with just Ale playing Bass, and then have the Ale set the melody for the entire song. Bass-centered music is rare, especially in Rock today; it plays a big part in The Warning's signature sound.
I have never heard what the meaning of Amour is. It´s about relationship so much is clear but the love and hate is unfulfilled mixed emotions of god and bad. I put this song in the same bracket as "Hell you call a dream". Most songs by The Warning tie into each other. Already on their first EP "Escape The mind" and the song "Fade away" the story started about people telling Pau she would never get some where with her music, it went on with "Animosity", and ended on their latest album "Keep me fed" and the song "six feet deep". Dany once said that their music "has always been a concept". Amour is a song which of course can be interpreted more romantically. and Dany´s singing is off the charts. Her wailing in the end is beautiful.
