Spent a week in Lafayette in Aug of 2001 for a funeral. As a CA native I was absolutely shocked at the friendly nature of everyone I ran in to. You couldn't pass someone without having a conversation. It was a very friendly town full of people PROUD of their food! Everyone has a recommendation where to eat when they heard I was from out of town. Very good memories of the people of Lafayette.

Good Day to You - What an interesting downtown. Offers great places of interest, and love the Dwyers, a soda fountain, what a gem, the Italian Restaurant would be of interest to me with their good food and fine drinks ....and something we don't see much of anymore....a hat shop. I'm not into large crowds, but would enjoy a Saturday/Sunday walk around. Been thinking of LA off n on this past year. When you have time would love to see the city/and children's museum. I visited LA in my late 20s, during the mardi.....but like I said, large, large, crowds are not my forte. I hope your channel grows n grows, it is so interesting and inviting. And is something we need to see and remember in these bad times. Thanks for your work and time......just wonderful ! Have a good day, be safe.

Lafayette is definitely beautiful. It was quiet downtown on this visit due to Super Bowl Sunday.

Looks like a cool city. It reminds me of Ann Arbor, like a really big town but not a city.
It's pretty much exactly like that! It's actually a pretty big city, but the downtown area is just not a very built up metropolitan type of setup.
Beautiful town. The city hall building is a beautiful Art Deco building. The downtown is very clean and well kept. Congratulations on the 1K subs!
