Move to Alaska. Once you buy your basic hunting license the moose tag is free. You also get 5 free black bear tags. For residents obviously.
@@BlueDart1971 I could shoot myself for not taking the state of Alaska up on his offer. Early in 1986 I was offered stupid money for a chefs job in Anchorage. I was also offered 30 acres of land tax-free permanently, but I had to move there and stay there at least five years. Alaska always a dream in a bucket list. I was full blown in the music business as a touring and recording Guitarist and I was doing financially. However now that I’m 61 years old, I I wish I had made a career change I just gone up there. I am a hunt to eat person, so the bear would be left alone unless they tried to attack me. Then it would be a Henry 45-70 to the rescue

It's absolutely uncanny how close to real this looks. The blur around the edges of the moose on the approach, the texture of the fur and the slightly awkward physics with the feet just before he falls are about all that didn't quite pass the vibe check

Just curious. How exactly does that big of animal die from that shot? Is it the impact from the bullet or is the location on the body? I.e Heart, lungs, vital artery's. Internal bleeding? Bleed out? Just wondering because along with your video and a lot of similar its always the same outcome. The moose takes off running for only a few feet, then goes into convulsions and falls over dead. It's never a slow death.

They're stealthy, I heard a twig break next to me one time, it was a moose.
Good kill shot. I learned on deer and it paid off on elk and moose, that if you do an instant kill shot either through the spine and nerves where the neck meets the body, right underneath the head Or simply a straight headshot, then they are dead before they hit the ground and the flavor of the meat is drastically different as there is no cortisol, adrenaline or testosterone that is pumped through their system. I have developed such a reputation, that one of the Processing places I use, will process mine for nothing if I give them some of my meat. Good shot

Guy said good shot as if hitting the proverbial broad side of a barn from 10 yards away is a major accomplishment. No problem with hunting but the shot in this situation wasn’t nearly as big as the process to actually get the shot.
