- Galactic Initiative reacts to comments that defend shills with “like what you like.” The phrase excuses those who promote terrible Star Wars productions for personal gain and sidesteps meaningful analysis through a false sense of enlightenment.

the answer to which of us is lying depends on whether or not the movie or series makes a profit. So far they have been wrong every time. Kyle is so pathetic its scares me
I literally just finished your last video on him from 2 months ago and clicked your channel to see if you had anything else on this topic! lol.
Good channel. I run The National Telegraph channel in Canada but want to get into movie and tv stuff too on another channel.
Love the content! Lucasfilm and its many paid shills should be exposed. What’s happened to Star Wars is sad and will hopefully change direction as they realize they will continue to lose money and fans as they continue to use Star Wars to promote the “message”
Thank you for your comment! Yes, as another year begins, our goal is the same: improvement. The studio must be reclaimed, and the shills must go unrewarded. Do I have hope? Only a sliver. Perhaps losses will finally restore sanity and end the Kennedyfilm era.
the best part of any star wars is all the discussions it breeds but in this day and age those types of conversations arent allowed anymore and all you get is MOVIE GOOD YOUR RACIST, or MOVIE BAD YOUR A SHILL and thats it there is no inbetween and it makes me sad (online at least it seems this way)
There are heroes on both sides. Evil is EVERYWHERE.
@@MrCongolia 😂 “Evil will always triumph, because good is dumb.”
And the thing is, they can't even follow their own rules. Legends fans try to "like what they like," but that doesn't gaurantee us a friendly reception at the Star Wars fan table these days. Try telling them that your kids love the books about the Solo twins, but have never heard of Ahsoka Tano; the whole "like what you like" mantra dries up real quick.
Also, I do not get this whole concept of never criticizing. Look again at the Legends timeline, look at some of the authors. Tom Veitch, Kevin J. Anderson, Barbara Hambly, Vonda McIntyre, Karen Traviss and Troy Denning have all been on the receiving end of some scathing criticism from fans in the decades since, but no one ever accused the critics of hating Star Wars. We were allowed to "like what we liked" while also indulgin in some knock-down, drag-out fan debates about the merits of different story lines, but no one ever felt you were less of a fan if you didn't love a book or game.
Agreed. “Like what you like” extends only to the limit of their preferences. Their move against SWT, Nerdrotic, and others exposed their intolerance. They avoid the EU since Disney excommunicated it.
I miss those fan debates! I appreciated the give-and-take.
None of what you said here is even close to being true
I love Legends and I know many fans who are enjoying all the new Star Wars who are Legends fans as well
Now I will admit I am not fan of most of the new novels they are putting out right now
But I am enjoying the new Star Wars films and shows
None of the fans I know of or associate with are the gate keepers you are pretending are out there
There is a place for useful idiots and Disney has found many to help the many they employ feel better. But I’m interested in Lucasfilm dominating competition and making profits while fans enjoy the content and desire more. I want Disney’s current strategy to end and a new era to begin. If Disney / Lucasfilm hires me they will have the next twenty years of success. Have Hope fans!
Do you have any arguments aside from calling people shills and saying stuff is woke
He's just another grifter like everyone who profits off of the hatred of fans.
You have one hell of a truly toxic ego
Because you don't like it, that means no one can honestly like that same thing, because your opinions are the only ones that matter
That is ego, nothing more
I get out to conventions and have had honest, actual conversations with a wide verity of fans and for the most part they are enjoying Skeleton Crew and The Acolyte
NO ONE SHOULD BE DOING, LET ALONE JUSTIFYING, GATE KEEPING
That is a true sign of a toxic fan and should never be tolerated
'Like what you like' is how REAL FANS show respect to each other
When Disney/Kennedyfilm subverts the extraordinary work of George Lucas, markets subpar entertainment for a premium price, destroys a once-unsurpassable line of toys and other products, uses Star Wars to promote a sociopolitical program, crams unsuitable messaging in stories for children and young adults, neglects loyal fans in favor of virtue signaling, and dismisses legitimate criticism as extreme, divisive, racist, and bigoted… When shills, whose only priorities are money and exclusive access, publish fraudulent reviews and attempt to label, gaslight, and threaten fans as quid pro quos… When YOU ignore objective metrics, such as viewership and merch sales, because they invalidate your feelings, dismiss me as “toxic” without debate, and assert my perspective-despite reasoned analysis with evidence-should never be tolerated… Expect a response. Disney/Kennedyfilm, shills, and you will be subject to gatekeeping, i.e., called to account for all the aforementioned foulness. “Like what you like” is NOT how real fans show respect; it is avoidance at best and, at worst, support for Disney/Kennedyfilm’s awful management of Star Wars.
@@galacticinitiative7979 That was a jumble of pure toxic, egotistical BS.
Once more, your OPINIONS are NOT shared by all the fans
Disney Star Wars is actually doing real well and has made Disney a ton of profit
That is FACT
'Extraordinary work of George Lucas'...
I guessing you have not seen the prequals then, as those are true subpar films that proved Lucas had lost his touch
Go and look up what Lucas wanted for the sequels and see if any of that sounds like it would make for good entertainment
One of the elements they kept from Lucas' ideas was Luke being a hermit that has disconnected himself from the Force, which upset the toxic fans greatly
There is no 'unsuitable messaging' or 'virtue signaling' going on
That is a loud of crap that fragile baby-men have spit out because they are way too easily made to feel insecure
Sorry, but giving a marginalized group representation is NOT a bad thing
And while there are legitimate issues that deserve criticism, the issues you are focused on are bigoted and toxic
I have never once dismissed LEGITIMATE criticism, unlike the toxic BS from bigots who are afraid of reality
As for your 'metrics' there, they are given from your side with little if any reality to what is really going on
Viewership numbers are a tricky thing right now and too often you toxic 'fans' are ONLY looking at the smallest of samples that are far from the complete picture
As for merch sales, that is a problem right now for EVERY franchise
Toys sale in general are significantly down from and are still on a huge decline
Of course you have ZERO evidence to defend your claims about 'shills' and 'fake reviews'
That is just your toxic ego trying to fill your shallow desires
Like what you like IS what real fans do out of respect for each other
Adn you clearly lack respect, just like you lack integrity with you baseless claims
You are just trying to gatekeep because you want to feel superior to those of us who do not share your OPINIONS
I get out into the real world and talk to many, many actual fans who are loving what Disney has done
I've moderated panels and several conventions now where we talk about Star Wars, and while there are those who agree with you, they have NOT once been the majority
And in those panels we have had very respectful exchange, agreeing with the 'like what you like' mentality
@ Your delusion is remarkable. Star Wars under Disney/Kennedyfilm is suffering a slow, painful death. Where are the paying customers? Where is the merch? Films? When will we see second seasons of Kenobi, The Acolyte, and The Book of Boba Fett? Why can’t the streaming series attract viewers? Why did The High Republic fail? Why did the Galactic Starcruiser fail? Why doesn’t Hasbro make sequel toys? Why did Walmart and Target shrink their Star Wars sections to three feet and remove the dedicated signage? Why is Ollie’s bursting with clearance items from The Young Jedi Adventures? Why cancel so many announced projects? Where’s Lando? Where’s Droids? Where are young fans? Halloween costumes? Where is the pop culture influence? Since you make ridiculous comments about my videos, you must have access to the Internet. Conduct research. You repeat the typical shill attacks that I just flagged in my previous response. You claim real-world experience, but you seem to interact only with like-mindedness. You insult Lucas for Episodes I-III! As if Lucas’ mistakes justify Disney/Kennedyfilm’s calamities!
Go moderate a panel for The Acolyte. I’m sure Leslye Headland and Kathleen Kennedy will appreciate your support.
