I have a question: What happened to the souls of the millions of people who died before Christianity was created 2000 years ago? Did the God of christianity keep their souls in a room somewhere until christianity had been invented, and then after bring their souls forward to be judged according to the rules of a religion that they'd never heard of?
That doesn't make much sense to me and I'm trying to understand this but my research isn't yielding any clear answers. Can any christian answer this question?

@Ben Stern I don't get what you're saying. There were more ppl in the world than the tribes of israel. So what happened to all those people who died before christianity was created?

@Andrew Meinswift I don't follow anything you said, maybe it's me but I don't think you managed to address my question. Thanks anyway.

These were all commended for their faith, yet they did not receive what was promised. God had planned something better for us, so that together with us they would be made perfect. (Heb. 11:39-40)
These scriptures tell us that It was only after the saving work of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection that the ancients received their recompense. You can read all of Hebrews 11 concerning the faith of the Old Testament people who were saved.
I want to tell you that there is only one God, and I hope you choose Jesus Christ. Jesus is God in human form. He is the only way to eternal life. We go through Jesus, the Man, the image of the invisible God, to get to God our Father. I will warn you that we're living in the last days. We are the final generation. God's wrath is about to come on an evil and unfaithful world. Choose Jesus Christ and receive the free gift of eternal life through God our savior. I hope you choose everlasting life by believing and not eternal destruction by unbelief. There will be no death to hide in. Please receive the everlasting crown of joy. This is what God wants for every human being, although that won't happen. Please reply if you have any questions.

@@nqx Thanks for your reply. How about those not directly mentioned in the bible? What I mean is that there were other people and other nations in the earth beyond those mentioned in the bible. What happened to their souls when they died?
And even right after jesus died, there would still have been many many people who would never hear of him before they died due to where they lived. And even today, there are people living in remote places that have never heard of jesus or christianity etc. So concerning those who never heard of jesus even after he was here and those who still haven't heard of him, what will happen to their souls when they die?

@Ben Stern Thanks, it doesn't answer what has happened or what will happen to people who've never heard of jesus or christianity etc. I can't pray to someone I don't believe in, I'm asking questions to determine whether christianity is worth further investigation, but i can't get a direct answer to what I thought was a basic question.
