Hi! I think this video is super helpful! Is this only for story books or could I use other for genereal digital products
Thank you for your kind comment and glad you enjoyed my videos! And yes, you can use it for other purposes and projects as well :)
Super informative video. Thank you for the sharing. I have a question, by the way. 1) I created "Tom" and made a couple of images. 2) Then, I created a new charactor named "Jenny" and made some images. 3) If I want to make more images of "Tom" the next day, will they keep the consistency as the day before?
Thanks for your kind comment and question! Technically it should be the same but I typically try to do it all in one sitting. Also with AI you will have to be a bit more patient and may need some trial and error before you get your desired results :) all the best!
great stuff
Thank you so much! :)
Are people now posting ai children's books to Amazon and making sales now? I know everybody was afraid of having their accounts shut down. I would really like to. So many ideas. Subbed already because I love your stuff!
Thanks for your kind comment and support! I would just make sure you still use your own creativity for designing the plot of the story and laying out the scenes of each page in canva etc to ensure overall originality. :). Also when uploading to kdp, just make sure you are transparent and honest about the extent of AI usage (ie AI assisted etc as they will ask you this question when you try to upload). Hope this helps!
Is there a way to make corrections to the ChatGPT character images that are NOT consistent
such as the eye color and boots shown in your video? Once you approved of the character design, why did ChatGPT AI generate different features from what you approved?
Also, can ChatGPT or Canva Magic media generate the images to have a shadow cast
so that character does not look like they are floating when you insert the character image
onto a background image ?
Thank you
Thanks for your question. Regarding consistent characters with AI, there is always going to be an element of trial and error to get to the desired consistency. The best thing you could do is to be as descriptive as possible in your prompt so that the AI can generate precisely what you have in mind and be as consistent as possible from image to image (for example, you can even specify eye color and style of boots -i.e. with laces, no laces, etc.) Yes, Canva has the ability to add a shadow to your graphic elements :)
I created a sketch drawing of two children in mid-journey that is perfect for my project. But when I try to recreate the same style asking for a mom and dad, I get something completely different. I've tried copying the seed number, etc., but I still cannot recreate my desired style. HELP!
Sorry for my delayed response as I missed this comment previously. I would recommend using the exact same wording you used for your original prompt for the children and just swap out the descriptions for mom and dad, and see if you can get to a similar style. For example if your original prompt was “black and white pencil sketch of a little girl”, try to do “black and white pencil sketch of a woman ..”. But try to be as descriptive as possible. It may take a number of tries to get it right though. Good luck!!
Awesome! So how or where do I print the story in an actual book
Thanks for your kind comment! Regarding your question - timing cannot be more perfect as I had just published a new video exactly on this topic today! Hope you'll find it helpful :)

I have a question. How do you change the things that are not consistent as the glasses color and frame design and the T-shirt color
Best way is to actually specify those things when you put in your original prompt to describe the character :). Be as descriptive as possible. Otherwise you also use canva magic studio to try to edit after but would be easiest to just do it at the prompt stage ;)
I bought Chat GPT -4 to do this but when I follow your steps and write in consistent character GPT doesnt that one by Sachin Kamath pop up. The others doesnt work good at all. :/
Hi Ivy, I am creating a book and already have a character I would like to use. Is there a way to use my image in chat GPT to do the same thing? thx Deb
Thanks for your question! This may be a bit trickier, but you can try uploading a picture of your character to chat GPT and then prompting it for a different pose. Although realistically, it may take quite a bit of trial and error to get to the results you want though. All the best!
Hi Ivy, thank you for your helpful video 🙏🏼
Do you know if is possible to create an character using chat GTP using a picture as example?
Thanks for your kind comment! Regarding your question, it is possible, although the results are a bit hit or miss and you might have to go through a bit of trial and error to land on an image that looks a lot like the photo you uploaded. It is sometimes better to just try to describe it in detail in words and see if it generates. But definitely worth a try! :)
Thank you so much for your prompt response. 🙏🏼
I have been this trying this consistent character app but I never get asked these questions. This is what I got “Of course! To get started, could you describe the character you have in mind? Please include details about their appearance, style, and any unique features you'd like to see.” I don’t know what I’m missing
There are different consistent character apps on ChatGPT 4 so it’s possible you may have used a different version? Maybe try to go to explore gpts again and see if you find a different instance :)
@@ivyhang5084 thank you!
I made my idea in Bing Dall-e but I cannot get the seed numbers so, do you have any suggestions?
Bing doesn't allow seed numbers. Unfortunately you'll have to get chat GPT 4
Do you know how to use Midjourney or Leonardo to create same constant characters?
I have previously posted a video on using midjourney for consistent characters a while back (linked here in case you are interested in checking it out:
th-cam.com/video/zdSIPkbvsek/w-d-xo.html ). Although this new method using GPT4 is much easier in my opinion :)
Hello!
Are these images royalty free?
You are able to use these for kdp publishing at this time but will just need to transparently check off the checkbox that asks you whether you’ve used Ai to help create your books when uploading it to kdp. Hope this helps!
Why i am not able to generate different moods of character like laughing pose, frowning pose, thinking pose, yawning pose. When i uee image to image options. It keeps showing same facial expression. This in leornado ai
I do find leonardo ai is a bit more limiting in their features. If you want consistency with different poses, I personally prefer the chatgpt 4/ DALL-E option. Hope you manage to get it to work!
I cant find the explore GPT on my dashboard. It only says explore. Im using chat gpt 4. Please help.
Thanks for your question and sorry I missed responding to this. If you are in ChatGPT 4 and have the subscription then you should technically see explore gpts. But if you don’t can you try to click on “explore” and see if it gives you the ability to search for the consistent characters gpt bot?
At the end of the page should we put copyright something?
Yes you can but entirely up to you :)
Can we get in trouble for using the images they provide us with?
How do you make the characters look in a different directions instead of looking at the camera, or looking at them from different angles, like from behind (back to the camera, looking to the side and up at something, etc.) Simply stating these things in the directions doesn't seem to work.
For the initial character generation where you are putting in the characteristics like age, clothing, etc. just let it generate facing forward. After that in the next variation, you can ask for side profile, backside, etc. Those should work :)
Do I only need a paid version of chatgbt for this features?
You will need to upgrade from ChatGPT 3.5 to ChatGPT to use this capability. Aside from making consistent characters there are also lots of cool apps you can use on version 4 like making coloring pages etc.
Do you know if the Consistent Character GPT would generate consistent character animals? Like if Jenny was a Turtle for example, would that work too?
Yes, it would work but you would have to be as descriptive as possible. I do, however, find that it works better for humans than for animals though.
please help find that gpt I searched multiple times do u have a link?
nvm found it
glad to hear! :)
What about the limit they have, can you bypass it?
You can wait a few hours if you breach the limit and try again :)
Are you using the paid version of canva?
Yes, I have Canva Pro :)
🎉❤
Thanks for watching! :)
can you upload your own image?
To be honest, I have not tried doing that, but I know you can - I just don't know how similar the illustrated graphic would look when compared to the uploaded image :)
hello please share how to make ebooks with chatgpt for free
Thanks for your suggestion! Wil definitely add that to my list of potential videos to create :)
The biggest problem I see (other than the fact that it looks like it’s AI generated), is that your character has no shadow. It looks like she’s floating in air. I don’t know if this will pass the “AI test” on Amazon
There is a capability on Canva to add in the shadows, but i do see what you mean :)
@@ivyhang5084what “ai” test on Amazon?
except they are not fffin consistent on gpt4
I’m sorry to hear that! Unfortunately with AI sometimes it is still a bit of trial and error but hopefully you manage to get it to work in the end.
Too bad this chatgpt version is not free. It looks so easy.
It’s definitely one of the easiest ways I’ve come across :)
