One thing I’m confused about though, did the real Bobby Fulbright want to rehabilitate Simon( the Phantom talks about trying to rehabilitate him) ? Because Fulbright died one year before the events of DD, while Blackquill was thrown into jail 7 years before DD, meaning Bobby Fulbright could’ve found out about SB before Dual Destinies, this would make a lot of sense though, think about it like this, if Bobby wanted to bring SB back into society, what’s the first thing he’d do? Try to find Simon innocent of the crime he didn’t commit. Which would mean investigating the crime scene (he is a detective), and if Bobby found out about the Phantom during his investigation , they would surely be found out, so the Phantom would have to kill him so he wouldn’t reveal anything That’s only my theory though

Even when every last mask is off and he falls to the ground, his face is still blacked out. Is his real self even there anymore?
I really wish we had a chance to meet to real Bobby Fulbright in the game series somewhere. Like, in a previous game, only to learn he died between games. That would have been really cool. Also wish the phantom had a flashback of when he killed Fulbright
I theorize that The Phantom is Shih-na an agent from AAI:ME because she pretended to be Calisto Yew , a defense attorney in the same game. She probably broke out of prison, created more identities for herself, went through a lot experiments in the Phantom organization which causes her to forget her original self and commit crimes. She forgot her true face and got shot by Shelly De Killer to keep the Phantom organization a secret. I could be totally wrong, but it's just a theory based on the events of the AA games.
but there's some differences between Phantom and Shih-na(Calisto Yew) for one Phantom replaces the person he killed to the point that he forgot his own self while Calisto only made an identity, secondly Calisto names herself "The Yatagarasu" cause she's the main face of Yatagarasu so she might have an actual name and there could be a plot twist that she's also an orphan and that orphanage is the same Orphanage where Knightley and Simon Keyes came from

And he is an antagonist without real face who take the one of a dead person thorough the game. He always adopt the personnality of the person he copies like he was the person but without being them. She probably could in a future game. The only two requirements to channel a spirit are the spirit’s name (which is public knowledge) and what the spirit looked like when they were alive (which the phantom would’ve had to copy in perfect detail as part of the disguise), so all the conditions are in place for Maya to channel Bobby Fulbright if she so chooses. As for how Bobby Fulbright in Maya’s body might look… I’ll just leave that one up to your imagination. 😝

Aww man, we don't even get to see his real face. Also how can he not be able to find his real face, surely there's no way he'd have an infinite set of mask on. It'd make more sense if he had real shape shifting powers.
Okay I can believe in a world of Spirit Channeling, Magical Psychic Locks, Exorcisms performed with Logic, Said exorcism being done after two dead beings borrow other bodies to argue with each other, wrist bands that make you see lies, a robot that can literally see emotion and a dance that can see the last memories of the dead without anything being connected to the dead physically, and Tyrannical Prosecutors who change the law as the case goes. I can believe that, sure. But a shape shifter? I’m gonna just assume Phantom had so many masks on, they became hard or impossible to take off, and eventually he forgot his own face.

"He's a phantom"
IT'S DANNY PHANTOM
THE PHYSICS WHEN THEY GOT SHOT 😭😭😭😭😭
This man has been going through disguise after disguise for years, posing as a new person. He's so used to wearing the identity of another person that his own has just…faded. He's forgotten himself.
Rest in Pieces, Bobby Fauxbright
Gotta admit, he looks kinda good in Jinxie Tenma's face.
I actually think that Yew is The Phantom, but we'll never know.
@@eureka9038 Yeah, if only there was more decisive evidence it was her, I would be more satisfied. I guess its head canon for me.
but there's some differences between Phantom and Shih-na(Calisto Yew) for one Phantom replaces the person he killed to the point that he forgot his own self while Calisto only made an identity, secondly Calisto names herself "The Yatagarasu" cause she's the main face of Yatagarasu so she might have an actual name and there could be a plot twist that she's also an orphan and that orphanage is the same Orphanage where Knightley and Simon Keyes came from
At least they spoke true. There WAS assasins nearby.
Some people also speculated that Shelly De Killer is the shooter.....
Of course, that one was a theory....

A game theory
Thanks for reading
What I want to know is:
1. How did the sniper get in the court room?
2. Who's the sniper?
3. Was the sniper ever caught?
1. They were not in the courtroom, the roof had been blown off so they shot from outside
2. It's never said
3. Probably not, I think they mentioned something like that after this breakdown
well whoever is that sniper i'm just gonna assume that sniper was trying to hunt The Phantom as well
The Phantom survived, so at least we know it wasn't de Killer. He NEVER misses.
@@corjonbettI mean it still could be him, he did land the shot. It just didn’t hit any vital organs
One of them should've been Scuttlebutt's box.
Just for laughs.
I kinda figured it’d be him since I know they didn’t bring him back for Spirit of Justice but damn that was a fun trial
Cannot wait to get to this with my boyfriend whose favourite character is Bobby Fulbright.
You are so evil and i love it
Rip my dear and real fullbright
Ikr... It's really sad
The fact that his first faces after Phoenix are of all the other culprits you’ve fought in the previous trials
Man! This guy is like the Tsumugi Shirogane of Ace Attorney!
Now that i think about it, that's really accurate!
Agreed!!
I think the one who shot was... Shelly De Killer.
And he failed?
Shame.
iirc Shelly dislikes using guns. He always gets up close and personal with his victims(I think he stated that in Investigations 2)
@@Yuxkta shelly shot franziska von karma on the right shoulder (reference to his father) to prevent any prosecutors on the engarde case. Apparently he only uses it to incapitate or however you spell it
my gosh, this breakdown is terrifying. freaked me out the first time i saw it!
Say what you want about Dual Destinies, but Fulbright made for a great twist villain
Something i like to think is that the phantom is the ultimate mix of ethan hunt and the first (from buffy)
He is a spy with many gadget who can change his face and who does impossible things to get his job done.
And he is an antagonist without real face who take the one of a dead person thorough the game. He always adopt the personnality of the person he copies like he was the person but without being them. Finally he is described by other as being evil incarnate.
I CAN'T BE THE ONLY ONE WHO RELISED THE T1000 DEATH REFRENCE RIGHT
Reminds me of the death of the T-1000.
what if "the phantom" is Matt Engarde after getting an innocent verdict, and shelley de killer finally catches up to him during the trial
Matt never got an acquittal to begin with tf
That would be so cool lol
I do wish the sniper would had succeded in killing the Phantom, even better if the bullet shattered their head so their face would be unrecognizable. It would fit with the theme of not having an identity and a "true" face. Still, one of the creepiest breakdowns in the series, and one of the most interesting villains imo, although they should have had more foreshadowing throughout the game.
In the japanese version, the sniper actually killed the phantom
Prayers for you too Isaiah
Me at 3am:
At least show us the bullet traveling
Damn...
And i don't think we will ever know the Phantom or who hired 'im.
Bruh this human being was probably tortured so fucking much to a point forgot it identity damn
I thought the phantom was actually tomate since he did the explosion things, so when I saw tomate's face, I thought I was right 💀
What happened to the real Bobby FullBright?
he is dead :(
Cause of death: ???
@@jeremeezuniga2668 It was not revealed :(
He got oofed
He died 1 year before DD’s story.
But what WAS his true face!?
Is it weird I feel surprisingly bad for him here?.... Like he got what was coming but seeing that full last close up on "Bobby" there felt so intense 😅...
you gotta admit, good snipe
I wonder if the phantom was shot by shelly de killer.
What if Maya channeled Bobby though?
She probably could in a future game. The only two requirements to channel a spirit are the spirit’s name (which is public knowledge) and what the spirit looked like when they were alive (which the phantom would’ve had to copy in perfect detail as part of the disguise), so all the conditions are in place for Maya to channel Bobby Fulbright if she so chooses.
As for how Bobby Fulbright in Maya’s body might look… I’ll just leave that one up to your imagination. 😝
@@LittleMissRequiem I've seen recently very good concept of Pearl, channeling real Fulbright. That was… weird, for real.
Because this looks like real in-game moment
I think the phantom is matt engarde (if that is his name) the one that gets a wine glass out of nowhere how I think this is the case is because at 0:05 it’s the same position he was in before
Nope. Matt died long ago.
Matt is probably dead but it's an interesting theory since the sniper could be de'killer
Matt Engarde probably wouldn't go outside
Maybe he put so many masks on to hide from De Killer? Who knows?
Maybe he put so many masks on to hide from De Killer? Who knows?
this is lowkey terrifying
This game is DARK
Killers havinf identity crisis? Huh i'll take it
This is like, so Game of Thrones lol
Aww man, we don't even get to see his real face. Also how can he not be able to find his real face, surely there's no way he'd have an infinite set of mask on. It'd make more sense if he had real shape shifting powers.
Or, perhaps that the word "masks" is indeed an allusion to his shape-shifting powers.
@@faultf4 I think your point is... That the powers are performed with the help of certain objects (example: a bracelet, a "magatama", etc) but yeah, shapeshifting is... eh, let's just say it's dumb and kinda impossible without any help of devices. Plus, it's shown that he wears masks so... Yeah, your point holds water.
Maybe he had facial surgery?
It's been awhile since I've seen the context, but didn't this guy had zero emotion but can minimic any one he chooses, what made him feel the emotion of fear to the point he started tweaking😅?
Also rip the true agent of justice... Fav detective with his apparent corniness 😂
Scared Phoneix? is actually a bit scary
Easily my favorite sequence in the whole series (at least maybe until I play SoJ we'll see)
Edit: ok this is no longer my favorite sequence in the whole series after both SoJ and DGS
Why do I think Bobby is actually Engarde from the second game?
He has a different chin
When they all pointed, i cried. This is incorrect use of the law
Well, that was horrifying
Bobby names from my older cousin
we might know the motive for clay terrans death, but we still don’t see the motive for athena’s mother, that’s my only gripe besides not seeing the killers true identity, i wonder what the phantoms motive for metis cykes was tho
Blackquill got a voice recording of the Phantom and he enlisted Metis Cykes's help to analyze it. The Phantom found out and broke into her lab, but he didn't find it. He killed her to silence her anyway.
I just completed the Cosmic Turnabout.. and I was on the Turnabout future...... But but but after seeeeeing this I got fucking sad... This was soo much spoilers..... Shit God damnit.. why did I press on it.. shit.. shiiiiiiiiiiiit.
