Great vid! That Lipo just may have gotten lucky 😮 anything lower then 3.1-3.0v per-cell usually ends in 1 or more cells getting internally damaged. Lately on Fb been seeing a ton people trying to bring back lipos with cell voltage well below 2.9v per-cell. I usually tell them can bring Voltage buck up but damage has already been done internally. So I inform them its best to by a new lipo vs the risk of loosing your house or the Rc truck.
Yep, I should have mentioned the 3v damage. Ooof. We have brought some batteries below 3v back but yes, 100% there is damage to the cell and if you aren’t careful, it can be a huge liability.
Something to keep in mind is that an unbalanced cell almost always means there's a problem with the battery. Cells rarely get out of balance for no reason. Usually it means that one cell is charging or discharging more quickly or slowly than the others and that's not a good sign. Doing these kinds of things usually just masks the warning signs that the battery is trying to give you that it's failing.
I totally agree, which is why i mention that you should always watch that battery. We have had some batteries that went out of balance, and since we rebalanced, they have yet to have an issue and have been using for months, if not years later. On the other hand, we have had some we rebalanced and within 10 minutes the bad cell is off balance again. Those ones get the boot.
''Always means a problem with the battery'' - DoRC 'Always' ?? Not my experience. I have a charger that tends to upcharge the last few cells, all my batteries work great but the last 2 or 3 cells always charge up to a 10th v higher, progressively and uniformly higher.

Question. If the black wire is ground shouldn’t you have a split 2 pin. Plug one into ground then cycle the power thru the cells. Way you did it you was reading ground through all the cells no?
