Epiphone SG Special VE || Unboxing & First Impressions

This guitar is called SG special satin E1 too. However, when I bought it on amazon it said Special VE. A far as I know it's the same guitar, just different name, the Satin E1 being the new name.
Sorry for not recording actual footage of the frets, when I realised about the issue, I forgot to record it, my luthier told me he was free and I immediately took the guitar to him. However, like I said, I think I was unlucky, not a problem on all the same guitars.

It seems that what matters about this model is where the fretboard was made. Chinese is not very good, I have that one. Anyways the freatbord feels like an Ibanez, it is very fast and very light guitar, I use 0.9s, a change of tuners may be usefull
In Epiphone's website says the fingerboard is Okoume but idk if it was actually made in china. I actually like it. And yes the neck is pretty comfy. The only issue with mine were the frets, some were unleveled and the fret ends were sharp. Did you have any problems like that? And yes, I actually swapped the tuners for some Hipshot locking tuners. I'll do a full review later. But all in all, it's a great guitar for modding, great bones. Thanks for watching!
@@CarloFenrir I've been playing it quite a bit practicing and even recording. The fretboard feels very comfortable, fast. The intonation is not perfect. I tried calibrating and it is not perfect like other Epiphones.
@franke_ Man... I discovered the thing about the intonation a few weeks later, I never had that issue with any guitar. Long story short, I'm pissed haha. So the intonation problem is pretty common on other Epiphones? I can't get to intonate de 6th and 3rd string. Of course I'm doing a video about it, but I was trying to see if I just got a bad guitar or it was a more common problem.
@@CarloFenrir I've set a very low action, I don't mind a little string buzz. But the intonation is impossible. Other epiphones are good, it depends on the neck. I cant get the 4th string to intonate. But the body of the guitar is surprisingly light which is very good, its good for practicing. Im playing with 0.9s light and its awesome
