thats actually very possible, I only have 3.7k on soundcloud but got 2.5 mil plays because my songs were added to big playlists. When songs get added to big playlists people just hear your song but dont follow you alot of the time

I run a bass house label on soundcloud, and built it from the ground up, I started 2.5 years ago and now have over 7.5k followers, all highly engaged.
Let me give ALL you artists TWO golden tips from a label, don't just drop your demo in to a label/channel with NO INTRODUCTION, it will just get put in the bin and is frankly rude.
Take the time to introduce yourself, show you care about your music, and what you are trying to do. Why would any label listen to your music if you don't even take the time to say something about it?
Tip number two is don't hit up a bass channel if you make EDM, don't send your music to channels/labels who have no connection to the music you make, I get 10-20 people doing this every day, and I can tell you there is no quicker way to annoy labels than by doing this.

Trench Bass Music Records with the “dropped into the bin” thing you caught my attention.
Currently I’m trying to release a song every week.
Personally I write something everyday at least once. I took a break over Christmas and New Years because engagement dropped radically over the holiday. I’m glad I did.
However there have been many artists who went through a period where they released a TON of music in a short period of time and it did pretty good for them.
I’m trying to use the same strategy Russ did when he uploaded a song a week to SoundCloud for a year. I am going to do the same to TH-cam. I think this is something I’m capable of. And it’ll ultimately push me to be much better at mixing. Writing and recording. My fans will know my post schedule because it’s a simple and frequent one. And they’ll never be burnt out by a song. But they might miss some.
Honestly I don’t think that’s a terrible idea. What are your thoughts?
Definitely appreciate this information phenomenal music over here super humble honing the craft every second every day if I'm awake I'm formulating so serious even more so grateful for those who are already establishing an able to show those on the rise how to do the same
I feel like another thing is also not being afraid to perform live or talk to people. I personally have seen little to no growth in my music over the past year but I am seeing mainly that it's because I was thinking quantity over quality.
And that's a very hard learning curve that all artists must go through. Right now my music isn't doing great under my name on soundcloud but it is bringing in real genuine fans, though small, and quite hard when you choose to make indie acoustic music. Artists need to create their own style and then they can talk about how things "aren't fair"
Sadly when artists don't see growth they just quit as well. Being a musician I understand how hard and tough it can be. I mean hey if you make music and you never see growth and you just lost a girlfriend then damn you'd be hurt! But working through that is what brings the best work out of musicians. Now it's just time for me to take my words into my own hands.

Exactly, if you don't love your own music, and don't know for sure that it is the best, why put it out. Matter of fact, I wouldn't recommend putting it out at all if it is not what you love or know you want to do 100 percent.

Appreciate the info bro, wen u mentioned the dude making a music video n blowing up and that paved the way for his SoundCloud... that’s what I always had in my mind. Cuz I won’t get real support if I post anything on SoundCloud or be discovered. I did a remix to drake Portland and cheated the system for the first few weeks when I posted that song cuz I had drake cover but I switched it to my name I put cover/remix between my title. I still get many views by it and I noticed lots of people put it in their playlist but they don’t follow or support. So I don’t even dare to put out my true sounds out until the right time. On my TH-cam I get basically 100 subs a month but this month looks like imma get at least 200 and some change this month. My plan is to put my old sounds from 2016 out. Once 2019 hits I’ll be able to change my game plan and do music videos since that’s what keeps people watching your videos.
