    Palm rejection works when the pen is close to the screen, this goes for all applications that do not differentiate between hand and pen. When you touched the screen with your hand the pen was far from the surface of the tablet and that is why that point appeared. Samsung Notes knows when you use your hand or the pen, its palm rejection is perfect, better than the Apple pencil/iPad in my opinion. Nowadays I only use Samsung Notes, I have it on my desktop too.

    Got this for my parents for Christmas and we've all been playing with it. Im an apple user with a iPad Pro and apple pen and I thought that comparatively the writing experience on this more budget tablet was going to suck, but honestly, it is really an amazing writing experience! Im really impressed! I still prefer my iPad because im deep in the apple ecosystem but of your in the android ecosystem this is a great option. I thought id be disappointed 'cause of the price but the writing experience is very good! The palm rejection and pressure sensitivity is better with the apple pen but unless you're really into graphic design there isn't really a need for a the more expensive model. Also, the writing to txt works great!

      AM Bhat yes indeed apple is truly great but their pricing annoys me. If I have to get a higher storage version with an apple pencil..price gets really high, I’d better buy a laptop instead. Ipad 7 gen is amazing but what will I do with 32 GB..experience will be limited by constantly managing memory. That’s why I went to s6 lite, it fits right in my budget and compromises seem manageable :)

    I ended up buying the S6 lite. I'm waiting for it to arrive to my house. For someone like me who has never used apple pencil, I'm not missing out, specially given the fact a single 1st gen pencil costs here, officially, $200 if converted to USD. If I was going with iPad, I'd need to get either the 8th gen 128gb or the air 64gb. 32gb won't do, and apple not having options to expand your storage makes it impossible to do art.

    Great tablet for basically everything. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxLNmVocUk8tnSkwWIlYSNFzWRIaFTBuzS I bought it specifically for art, and that 4k screen is really fantastic for it! Also has LOUD audio, even tho the speakers aren't in necessarily prime locations it really projects!You do need to get a case for this bad boy IMMEDIATLY though as it doesn't come with one.Battery life is really good! Standby time us FANTASTIC. This guy can go about a week on standby and be just fine. The screen is massive so the longer you have the screen on, brightness especially, it will effect battery life. I am very happy with it though!One thing that I didn't consider is that since the screen resolution is so high, viewing ticktocks/ reading webtoons can be slightly blurry. There is no way to turn down resolution either, so it just be like that.Would still judge this bad boi at 10/10 for my first tablet. I've had it 3 months now and its not shown any evidence of "slowing down" or anything. Love it!

    Hi, just watched this video and I must say it's extremely useful. I'm stuck between ipad 8th gen (with 1st gen apple pencil) vs s6 lite. My primary tasks would be annotating pdf, watching educational videos, video calls and doing loads of work associated with studying. Occasionally will include video streaming. I'm very particular with pdf annotations and I hoping to write and scribble on my pdfs. But due to covid, alot of shops do not allow testing of the products so I can't feel and compare the sensation of writing on both devices. I'm wondering which pencil /pen tip provides better accuracy? Thank you !

    I'm in my final year of my bachelor, and for the first two years I've been sticking with pen and paper so I'm quite new to the thought of taking notes on a tablet. Been actually thinking about a tablet for the past 2 years. Wanted to ask about the general thoughts about taking notes like this, do you "learn as much" while you handwrite on a tablet or does it apply more to paper?(maybe superstitious thoughts) I do see alot of +points on doing this though! Also i loved the demonstration of the note taking :)

    • @teohontech7141
      @teohontech7141  4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      The act of digital note taking is same with pen and paper. So the benefits of note taking is same. The only downside I can think of is, on the tablet you can do more things (eg watch videos, social media) so you may get distracted. So you'll require discipline.
      I can't say much about intense digital note taking though since I don't write as much. However, this is same as digital art vs traditional art. There are countless top notch digital artists out there so it's not really about the medium used but more about the person.

    • @teohontech7141

      For note taking, both tablets work fine. Tab S6 Lite may be more worth the money because it has a bigger and laminated display, more storage and the pen is included.

      @@icycoldcoffee You'll still see the line trailing behind the pen tip on both Samsung and iPad. That's noticeable when you're draw long sweeping lines. When you take notes (short strokes), you won't even notice the gap (input lag).

      This tablet is good for note taking. No problems or issues with that. But the iPad 10.2-inch display has better colours but there's no laminated screen. iPad Air 3 is way more expensive. Also both iPads don't have the Apple Pencil included. If note taking is your primary usage, samsung tablet is more worth the money since it has the S Pen included.

    Thanks for the review. Have you been able to compare the writing experience of Samsung Tab A 8 with S pen with the Samsung Tab S6 Lite? What different are the experiences and what would you recommend for the go-to device for handwriting and note-taking? Thanks!

    • @teohontech7141
      @teohontech7141  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Actually note taking experience will come down to the size of the S Pen, more specifically how comfortable the pen is. The S Pen nibs are all similar. And the S Pen from that Tab A looks small so it may not be comfortable to write for long period of time. Performance wise, writing should be responsive since writing is not processor intensive task.

    Hello. Here in my country the S7 costs double and the IPAD AIR 4th + Pencil is even more. Do you thing the writing experience is for S7 or IPAD AIR is much better than the S6 Lite ? How would you measure how much they are better (only concerned for note taking).

      Writing experience is different. Difficult to say which is better because it's very subjective. But if the S7 is way more expensive, then I recommend the cheaper option. Cheaper option often is more value for money.

      I recommend you cut a piece if paper to the exact size if the tablet and see if you can work with that size. In vertical mode, things will look small, and in horizontal mode, you have to scroll much. So a 4:3 aspect ratio iPad 10.2 inch may be more suitable
