Are you kidding? I've been playing drums in hardcore bands for 20 years and the drummers are usually the best in the band it's just a matter of how well they get to display it in the music. Not much you can do with some simple chugga chugga bullshit.

It’s all about a balance. I tend to try and embellish guitar and even vocal parts sometimes with accent on the drums. I’m always looking for ways to make parts tastier without taking away from the music. But sometimes playing hardcore drums does get a little “mehhhh” especially since I’m a Death Metal guy 💯💯😂

I'm inpartial to music style. I only started playing drums as a distraction.
