Way back in early 90's Madball played in my town opening up for some death metal bands, can't remember who exactly, maybe Obituary.... Anyway me and my two homes were the only HC guys that went , everyone else was a metalhead,. Anyways Freddy , such a class dude, was so happy to meet us and talk with us, three young skins in a mid sized city. I'll never forget how cool he was. Madball !
Woke up, made my morning drink, put the speakers all the way up and watched Set It Off and Lockdown - holy shit! The guitar sound is ridiculous on this recording. Props to the band and producers.
Always have loved their shows. First time I saw them I was 14 in New Haven, and all the NY crew drove up for it. 15 years later and that was still the only time I've been legit afraid at a show.
Man I remember feeling afraid at some shows in the early 2000s when I was like 14/15. It was perfect. Dangerous music, intimidating looking people, alot of fun!
No idea, I hate crowdkillers with passion but this starts with just 10 people doing their average windmills, why the hell won't everyone else rush the barrier?
Also the fact that he says "Shout out to Pete Rose, hardest mother fucker in Philly." He's literally referring to a Baseball player who gambled and bet on his own games. What intregs me is this relation of Porno Movies and Philadelphia Philly's legend Pete Rose
I was there at this show... Someone just walked in with a stack of some porno movies and was carrying them around when he noticed the dude and shouted him out :)
The band has grown into a totally crushing band from when i first saw them on their first trip to the uk, freddy was a skinny, wirey skinhead at the front!!...not so much now!!, im glad i clicked on this vid, i forgot what a good band they are, time for a spending spree on amazon to update the madball cds on my shelve!!. All the best to ya all.
sounds great as always....tragic that 1,2 thousand people 20 if that on the floor...no more pit action...what a disgrace...the people that shouldn't b there r there & not enough representing old school HC
I saw them last-time 2014 in Berlin, Germany and at that time you can saw the change of the crowd. More and more stylish HC - hipster kids. They arent moshing but shaking their smartphones. SAD

That drummer is a beast
That's mike justian who drummed for unearth and the red chord...one if my influences..such a hard hitter
hell yah
Hell yeah he is!
Will Shepler is a beast too.
Rips on such a simpler set-up. Don't need two bass drums & 55 cymbals
Madball brings more energy than most of the new young bands. Crowd should've moved more for them
Totally agree
They were Saving it for Blood for Blood yo
if they would bring more energy then younger bands, how come the people at concerts from younger bands move more??????
But Set it Off got em moving
Kids born in the late 80's are last ones left keeping the phones in our pockets and not in our hands.
Freddie’s energy is INCREDIBLE

Stage potatoes don't even know who Madball is.
"stage potatoes" made my day :)
shameful
Who?
Time to play hot potato
@@offhand6154 I don't understand the potato references here lol
Always great sound and footage in these videos... excellent work!
Man, they always bring such great energy. I just miss the days of heavy crowd involvement. Where's the pile ons and sing-a-longs?!
No idea, I hate crowdkillers with passion but this starts with just 10 people doing their average windmills, why the hell won't everyone else rush the barrier?
Most of the videos I've seen from this show seem pretty tame, even the Terror set.
2018 Festival there was a ton of moshing and people onstage. Lots of mic sharing too.
Crowd is weak
We’re too old to jump that high anymore we may break a hip
34:01 a real drummer always be prepared, new drumstick from nowhere
every drummer... nothing new
El hardcore mas limpio y elegante. Sonido siempre cuidado , no les pasan los años. Mis respetos...
Mike never missed a beat at 33:58............Respect!!!!!!!
26:06 Hoya says "porno movies in the house." haha what
Matthew Kimball 😂 thank you for pointing this out

Set it off is one of the best song.. So much power.. Can you feel it too
I can't believe. They can only improve. MAXIMAL RESPECT!!!!!!!!
They put up a lot of great new bands but then comes Madball and everything else seem tame. Perfection was achieved a long time ago.

There's always something special about metal/hardcore/punk from New York
Love Madball. Nothing but love and respect. Another NYHC band at it's finest 👊👊
15:05 THATS THE DRUMMER FROM JESUS PIECE
This reminds me much of Agnostic front., not sure why ;)

Hard to find a better band than madball

Great show . Weak crowd
This is the best thing I have ever seen in my life ,MADBALL 4LIFE!!!
sounds great as always....tragic that 1,2 thousand people 20 if that on the floor...no more pit action...what a disgrace...the people that shouldn't b there r there & not enough representing old school HC

I saw them last-time 2014 in Berlin, Germany and at that time you can saw the change of the crowd. More and more stylish HC - hipster kids. They arent moshing but shaking their smartphones. SAD

You see that kids arms.
Get vinnie to do a set
I'm the third . Great band! Miss Mitts
They need him back in the worst way . That last record would have been so much better with him .
Wtf no canadian tour 2023?
did he say cant stop wont stop? lol
What the fuck the crowd is doing? Sleeping?
wow! awesome power!
fabulous band and sound /
Awesome real hardcore
Seriously weak crowd. 90% of the crowd lied about not only seeing Madball for the first time, but not even knowing Madball.
What is it with HC shows & loads of people wanting to stand around the side of the stage?
true. this is annoying and should go away
It's hard to say this but this definitely isn't one of their best performances
isn't one of their best crowds that's for sure
Is It's My Life a Disgraced Life cover?
shit crowd fucking legends
