One warning if you book with a travel website! If there is an issue with your flight, the airline will not help you if you booked your ticket with a third-party travel site. The airline will refer you back to the travel site for assistance. If you're in a foreign country, it may be harder to contact the travel site due to the time difference. Pay the extra cost and book directly with the airline! I had a nightmare experience and I will never book through a travel site again. The few dollars I saved booking through a travel site was not worth the headache I faced when something went wrong.
Thanks, man. I'm wrapping up a long stay in Antioquia, Colombia, and it's time to head back home. This really helped me find the most affordable option (though the budget airline I chose to take is.. awful. We all know who I'm talking about), so I'd like to thank you. Keep doing these kinds of things; it's very helpful.
PointsYeah can be a useful search engine you can use for free. Point.me is another one that is paid. You can also do things manually, but that probably warrants an entire video series in itself 🤓
Mind blown! I never knew Google Flights had these hidden gems for finding cheap flights. Thanks for sharing these updated techniques - now I can travel more without breaking the bank! 🌍💸 #TravelHacks
Should work on your phone as well, but there is currently no app, so you'd have to use the normal flights website. It's a lot easier to do stuff on a computer if possible though.
Just incredible information ! Thanks 👍 Wish I had more choice of departure loc, price of living in Hawaii,i guess. This is awesome, since I'm so flexible on dates and locs, though mainly looking at s.e.asia , and this is a tremendous help.
Hmm...possibly, but I can't really remember. I asked Gemini and this is what it said 🤓: The under-seat storage space on Korean Airplanes varies depending on the aircraft type and the specific seat. In general, the space is around 10 to 12 inches (25 to 30 cm) high, 16 to 18 inches (40 to 45 cm) wide, and 10 to 12 inches (25 to 30 cm) deep. However, it is always best to check the seat map for the specific flight you are interested in to get the most accurate information. You should also be aware that some airlines may not allow you to store certain items under the seat, such as fragile items or large electronics.
It's all fine and dandy if you don't care about where to go to. Choose the cheapest destination on the map and you're good to go. How about if i wanna travel to a country with a hefty price tag?
@@ProjectUntetheredthe problem with this is it’s hard to earn points and miles. One day the cheapest flight may be United, then American, then Delta. It’s hard to earn loyalty when you’re ONLY basing your search on cost alone.
Just like this: For my route (Europe to Africa, usually three stops, different possibilities based on earlier research) Google Flights doesn't even give results. ;-) Update: I think I know why this is so - apparently, G. F. can't acceed to the data of all the small airlines.
It can alo be helpful to do a Google search for the budget airlines that operate in a certain country. Sometimes the small local ones don't always show up on Google Flights
I'd prefer not to fly with Norse, Play. While their base fares are inexpensive, once you factor in additional costs like luggage, carry-on, and seat selection, the total expense ends up being comparable to a full-service airline.
Yeah, that makes things a lot tougher. If you're from the US/Canada, I'd recommend taking advantage of travel credit card sign up bonuses to build up points/miles, then using those to buy the flights.
I've found it works better with some airlines than others. Seems to work more often in Latin America. It also seems to work more often when you're searching for a domestic flight outside of your country. For example, searching for a local flight between 2 Colombian cities while inside the US. This is the example I showed on the screen, but this is only helpful in certain situations. Also make sure to clear your cookies/cache before switching the VPN to a different country!
A lot of it is the same, but there are some new features. Plus the other video is 2+ years old, so not many newer viewers are seeing it (as @dotted8 mentioned 😇). But I am actually really honored that you remembered a video that I published 2 years ago! ❤️
@@ProjectUntethered And moreover, especially in this sector, a viewer might not watch a 2-year-old video because he fears outdated info that might cause him problems during his travel. Same situation with "cost of living" videos - if they're older than half a year nowadays, you can use them as a basic orientation at most.
That's exactly what I was thinking! Yeah that's very true about cost of living videos. They can be super helpful, but the shelf life doesn't last long.
You forgot to mention you can only use a lap top top. Who uses a lap top in this world - people use tablets. Google flight is like being at the dentist on IPad at least!

United, not my favorite sold a ticket. Worked out great. Bookers error. Cancelled. Then my card company worked it out. No slam dunk. But o k
Rare chance.. but may happen
Yeah that happened to us once. Never want to book through a 3rd party website again.
I’m with you on this, I also learned the hard way.

The question is where to set your VPN location to get the cheapest flight.
Very informative.. good video
Happy flight hunting 🤓✈️

Do you also change your currency when changing your VPN or just USD?
Really awesome, thank you! 🤩
Is it possible to set up flexible dates for 3 weeks or more?

Is there something like the explore tab on google flights, but with an option longer then 2 weeks?
I usually buy one way tickets because I never know how long I want to stay in one place. Any tips on this?
That's what I do too! :) Most of these same tips should still work
Will this work on my cell phone or hasta be a computer?

Just found your channel, so much great info - you earned a sub from me today, thank you.
Google shows me an $880 flight when I opened Air Canada's own portal to book the flight it's showing me a 1200$ flight 😂😂😂

How cheaper is Google flights than Kayak or Skyscanner?
This is good, planning ahead for CAD
are you in Da Nang? I love that place

Wish we could do this with award flights
I never put luggage in the hold but they always charged me.
Wow, I found cheap flights to destinations that I did not think I could afford.

This is wrong. America to Mumbai shows less than $400

All this doesn't help the majority of people who have FIXED dates and FIXED locations

Plus the whole world is traveling- this makes it a bad experience, full flights , crowds everywhere and delays ever time!
