The comms with Silo 18 has been a bit of a plot weakness. For 8 episodes Juliet has been obsessed with getting what she needs to go back there. But if she is so smart, she must pause for a moment and think "What happens when I get there? Do I just knock on the door? Do I hold up a sign to the camera saying 'Hey it's me Juliet'?" She has to consider the thought that she will very likely not be re-admitted. So at that point her highest priority should have become, is there any way to communicate with them beforehand.
My guess: Bernard will capture all the Deepers so it looks grim, hold them in the cafeteria (like sneak peek showed), then Juliette shows up outside so they all see on large window, hard cut to black.
The Algorithm is actually Carl AI. After telling Lucas he died for him to "Safeguard" his life. Now Carl AI has found that he died for nothing because Lucas gets killed anyways a few episodes later. Carl AI tells Lucas to not tell his discovery unless it will unleashed a hoard of Walker's throughout the Silo...
My guess is that the safeguard is a gas that can be administered to the whole Silo 18. The safeguard could be a reset for the entire silo. Question is why didn't the Safeguard affect Silo 17? or did it. We see Silo people making there way to the surface. But there is dust all about them on the surface. Were the people of Silo 17 taken out by Silo 1????
I think that the founders who built the silos are in the tunnel. In the book, it is mentioned that during his shift, Donni accidentally went at bottom of silo one with elevator and he found himself in a tunnel with a large steel door.Behinde that doors he saw cryopods with human bodys inside. My opinion is that in each silo at the bottom there are influential personalities before the cataclysm and that they were chosen to wake up after 500 years from hibernation and to rebuild the new world. The people who live in the silos serve as workers who work their shift to keep the silo functional. After 500 years, the program was made to launch the safeguard in all the silos and to destroy the generations of people who lived there. On that occasion, the people who have lived in hibernation, they can create a new world in their own image. That's why Judge Meadows started drinking when she saw what was down there, she gave up her life because she realized that people who are living in silos have no future.
1. Tunnel in 17 still flooded - unlikely a tunnel-to-tunnel walk. Unlikelier still with the Safeguard warning. 2. Juliette walks back alone to ask to be let in and put back in the control of Bernard and Simms who tried to kill her so she can nobly die in the unlikely case the two murderers allow her in. 3. More than one suit. Juliette and someone else walk to the windows and slap some poster up saying it's me, Juliette and survivor from somewhere else and it's deadly without a suit! And Bernard and Simms kill the both of them. 4. Juliette or with someone else slap a message up, wave, show some pictures they slap on windows, and PS it's death to go outside without a suit and walk back to 17 rather than let Bernard and Simms kill them. 5. Vault to vault comms are established. How without Bernard's knowledge and OK unless he is convinced by Lukas that Juliette can end the rebellion and Lukas , Juliette, and mystery super educated Solo can look into the Safeguard and defeating it - I don't know. 1 - not plausible. 2-4 end the dialogue between 18 and 17 with just a return from the dead of Juliette no doubt thrilling to all, a warning, and their deatg or return to 17 with no comm link created... 5 - Most plausible to me. But lots of difficulties there. Mainly testing Safeguard and how to deal with Bernard. He's too smart and hands on to be fooled long. And 17 can't talk without knowing Bernard or whatever or whoever is monitoring the Silos isn't "triggered".
Meadows didn’t died right away, she lasted 25 years (surprisingly none of these people get rope burn even though they’re NOT climbers) I really want to know what happened 25 years ago that affected so many people. I also want to know how the food it’s made on the vault, do they have Star Trek technology?
My guess is that there is a mini-farm in the Vault, with plant-based food, that reproduces seeds that can be grown for more food. Water seems to be a more difficult item to reproduce.
Season 3 surely will make the link betwin Silo 1 and why the silo were made and silo 18 nowadays. I'm pretty first Episode will be a flashback before the silos.
I believe so ,mechanical destroyed the pumps so the silo flooded. I’m guessing the safeguard is the poison dust that solo mentioned in episode 1 about what happened to everyone once they left .Also think the gas they spray you with before you leave to clean is poison because no point to disinfect going outside ,it would be the other way around .
My feeling is the writers coulda/shoulda told MORE story this season--or cut the episodes to 7 or 8. They clearly didn't have 10 episodes worth of story.
@ I enjoyed the SHIFT, but I have a bad feeling that they are going to castrate the story by the fact there was no communication with silo (you know which one) in season 1 & 2 so whole background of the story is out of the window.

I actually think that the safeguard is the mass memory wipeout that was mentioned and attributed to Salvador Quinn
Me, too.
Couldn't agree more.
My guess: Bernard will capture all the Deepers so it looks grim, hold them in the cafeteria (like sneak peek showed), then Juliette shows up outside so they all see on large window, hard cut to black.
That would definitely look good
that would be so cool....and she cleans the glass.
addition: i also believe Eater will accompany Juliette back ..?? 🤔
@ absolutely, she asked to leave and there are two suits.
Where would she get high quality tape from to protect her like last time? Unless the vault has something
I think the safeguard is the water. The pumps are on a different circuit.

suspecting the same thing, There was also a mention of a previous time a memory agent that was administered during a previous uprising.
PS suspect the nanobots in the dust took time to create enough of a dosage to effect that many people ?
@TheGamesZilla492 It's explained in second book
@TheGamesZilla492 nanobots? have you read the books. i havent. are you just guessing?
@runningisfast I am guessing,I have not read the books , I am likely wrong.

have you read the books? just wondering. i havent so dont spoil anything.
The AI voice that speaks to Lukas in the tunnel entrance is the very same voice that was used by the alien AI “Hosts” in the TV series Colony.
It’s not an AI. It’s Silo 1

Read the books guys...started reading them after season 1...finished them...a must Read...
Donald Keene incoming…
Great show

Could Silo 17 have been destroyed by the safeguard?

I love that the writers made up for the last espiodes shows were slow..I think Safeguard is a restart when things get out of control
My feeling is the writers coulda/shoulda told MORE story this season--or cut the episodes to 7 or 8. They clearly didn't have 10 episodes worth of story.
Wait until learn about the founders who are still around from 100s of years ago
You mean almost 300 years ago
@ yeh I was in a rush that’s why I said 100’s lol yeh that’s gonna be awesome
