    This video walks you through the steps needed to install a hitch wiring kit on a 2019-2024 Toyota RAV4. There may be some differences depending on model but most likely the steps are the same. We installed a Curt Kit 56434. these are pretty easy to install but there are a lot of panels in the way. As always, we make these videos to help people with their car projects, we are not film makers. These videos are unscripted and rough cut because of that. Well your title is a bit misleading. The video may be 5 minutes long but the actual work looks to be around an hour long. Beyond that nit-pick, your video is most informative. Thank you.

      Oh yeah, the title was meant for the video length. That job is about an hour to do. I think the one we did took longer but that is because my friend who owns this car likes to talk. Glad the video could help.

    Just got the wrong hitch sent to me and spent about 30 minutes finding out that tragedy (mental note not to let my wife buy car parts). Then I realized she hadn't bought a wiring harness. Was about to throw my hands up and take it in somewhere to let them worry about it.... Then I watched your video. Since my dad loved DIY car remakes, I'm now comfortable enough to just buy the kit and make one of my kids do it with me next week.

      Great story, glad the video could help. If you got it through amazon, i have problems with it changing the vehicle parts to other cars the further i scroll. Drives me crazy especially after i filtered to the vehicle. This job is not that hard to do, you got this. Best of luck, make sure to subscribe.

      @@SKPcars That's probably what happened. And to boot we have the 2018 XLE hybrid so lots of opportunities to make a mistake.

    Oh great. Start at 10am and end at 10pm. Why cant they just make it easy!

      @@DragoonEnder I think this took about 3 hours with filming. My friend who owns this car is notoriously late. I think he got there within 2 hours of it getting dark. I took advantage of the dark to show the lights working. It really isn't a difficult job, even for someone with no experience in cars.

    Just curious… did you happen to re-seal that grommet near the spare tire? If not, it can get water from splash up. Only saying this from experience in my old 4Runner after installing a auxiliary battery system

      @SKPcars  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We didn't at the time. My buddy, who owns this car, was gonna go through and do some finish work to it once we were done. I never asked if he did do this but he might have. It can easily be done with any form of silicon sealant. Generally, if it is a normal driver, you won't have issues with that unless you offroad through water or drive in a lot of snow/rain. Thanks for the comment.

      We still have it, all the projects that have been coming up for it are expensive. It needs new gearing going to cost over 2k in parts. Want to do bumpers on it, again 2k in parts. I want to golen swap it, eventually, that's 6.5k. We will do more on but right now i have 3 cars that have to get running so we can flip them. Plus i have to get the 53 frame out of the garage for space to work on those cars. I promise there is more coming. If you have any cheaper suggestions on what to do to it, we can look into do it.

    This looks like it would cost hundreds of dollars to have done! You must have saved some serious skrilla doing it yo-self!

      I saved a friend mine some skrilla. He needed this added to one of his cars. Thanks for the comment.

    Power can MUCH more easily be tapped into the 12V socket on the passenger side. 😀

      Yes, the video is 5 mins., not the work that was done.

      @@SKPcars that’s not what the title would suggest. Great click bait though.

      In most cases, when working on cars, 5 mins would give you enough time to pull out some tools.
