I get my hands on a very green Audi RS Q3 Sportback for a week, I didn't have high expectations, but it proved me wrong 👌

My wife had the last one and I have a Vorsprung RSQ3 sportback for her coming soon in Nardo Grey. Can’t wait for that noise again.

Great review as always Joe. There's a car for everyone... I live in London so don't want a huge car, needs to park on the street and in narrow car parks, I have 2 kids, plus I'm a petrol head dad who deserves a bit of fun! Hence this car is not confusing to me as it ticks all those boxes!

Admire your enthusiasm in doing the test drive review covering so many aspects extensively in just 20 minutes. You look so involved with the car, and didn't want to give it back. That, has effectively hinted many potential buyers out there to try the RSQ3 Sportbback. Job well done!
Brilliant review and you only have to spend some time in the car to appreciate what it is. I love it and the change from my old Q3 2.0 is ridiculous! This feels solid now where the old ones steering was light and that 5 cylinder is just magnificent. I would highly recommend you drive it and judge for yourself. Glad I pulled the trigger but the car needs the black 21” ! Enjoy

Picked my Nardo Grey RSQ3 up last Tuesday and I love it, it replaced an SQ5 which I also loved. This is more nimble and quicker. Thumbs up from me.
Is it less practical in standard life situations than your SQ5 that you had before? May you be so kind and tell me some pros and cons of an RSQ3 in relation to an SQ5? I suppose that an RSQ3 has much less space than an SQ5.
Kevin Hetzenauer less space yes but not noticeable unless you intend filling it to the max. My springer and all my shooting stuff goes in just the same as it did in the 5 and is much nimbler. Have not seen any cons yet against it, but if pressed I would say it is a bit noisier and less refined. It’s meant to be though, it’s fast well screwed together and hits the mark for my needs. If you are considering one do it.

Brilliant review. I realise this is a few years old now but if currently debating between an rsq3 or a Porsche macan s (bear bones). Which would you pick and why?
They made another because anyone that owns the original knows just how fucking brilliant a car it is. There's nothing confused about these cars, they're for people who don't want to be dragging their arse down the road. They're for people who want practical and fast as fuck. They're for people who want a bit of roll in corners and suspension that doesn't shatter your spine for going over a small speed bump.

Drove one here in munich (where i live) for a day in normal practical form,. Really enjoyed it - excellent all rounder and ordering it soon..the TG online review was garbage and actually also contradicted the TG Magazine review that gave it 7 /10... excellent performance also..felt very strong on the speed limit free autobahn..:-)
Love the colour even though its probably a colour I wouldnt be brave enough to pick, great looking interior too

Good review mate. I think this is an alternative to RS3 for those who wish an suv with bit of looks.
I've actually been really interested in this car as a replacement to my '17 Golf R. Sadly the US market won't get the RS Q3 in any form.
Audi staying is on point at the moment. This would be my choice if I was in the market for a mini SUV for sure
Nice review Joe. How does the sound quality of this 'small' B&O system compare to the 'big' B&O inside the RS6? How close it in percentage if you had to guess? Obviously the RS6 has many more speakers and Watts but the RSQ3's cabin is so much smaller.. cheers mate

Never liked SUV's until I drove my Macan GTS and now I get it! The overall experience impresses as a daily!

I'm currently awaiting delivery of an RSQ3 Sport Sportback, in Nardo grey, having seen the review, I cant wait for Audi to start shipping cars again as mine has been at Eden Port for 80 days now ...not that i'm counting

Nice car, but my personal choice would be something like the X4M. I just think audis whilst being nicely built, lack a certain character that you get in other cars such as the X4M. Great review Joe👍🏻

Hi Joe. Thx for your vlogs. I enjoy every one of them been a Munich car brand man. But that RS Q3 Sportback is just something else. I just took it through the configurater on audis danish website. With ceramics and other extras the price in DK incl. tax is 180.752,- GB pounds........... Wtf

Great stealth colour in your little village when everything is green 😎 So, RSQ3 or M2? My wife had the previous RSQ3, the engine was just sublime, I’m sure the improved version is even better. And the car looks good - can’t believe me the SUV hater just said that. But do I understand correctly, no HUD available? That’s a bit of a problem, once you get used to it, any car without it feels like an essential part is missing...
Certain reviews out there reckon that the gear shift is slow at lower speeds. Is this true?

Just been on the Audi configuration site. The pan roof is std on both the sport edition and vorsprung. £1150 option on the entry model. The one you’ve tested was a sport edition so the options must have changed after the press car was released.
Yeah all early press cars don't represent configured customer cars unfortunately

It's my dream car, it has everything, future-proof. That said, not gonna be fooled so when the price goes down the 55.000€ mark I'll proceed.

Waiting for my Turbo Blue RSQ3, Should have been delivered early July but still waiting on delivery date because of lockdown delay :( hope I enjoy it when it arrives to replace my S5 Coupe!

@@shackleton274 preferred the S5 in a number of ways. Looks, comfort, engine, fast enough. RSQ3 more practical, and tech better, very fast! Engine sounds great when in mood. 2 quite different cars to be honest. Most of the time my RS sits on the drive as work from home since got it! Hope you chose the best one for you :)
funny you say there is no need on this planet.....for my a 30yo, with a kid, and needing to buy a car for my wife to drive 80% of the time, and me to drive on the weekend when im not driving my v8 supercharged truck.......its just perfect for me....so...theres at least one need in this planet we call home :D

Drive both and make your own decision. Reviews are useless in reality. Only you will know what works and feels best for you

Good stuff Joe. It seems you have come to the same conclusion that many RSQ3 sceptics do after they've driven one, that it's really a good car, an opinion very much garnered by that 5 pot engine. I have the previous 340 bhp model (which makes a fabulous noise with lots of pops and bangs) and have owned it for almost 2 years and have yet to see another one on the road...apparently less than a thousand of the 310/340 BHP were ever registered in the UK, so it has that bit of exclusivity about it. On the subject of performance SUVs?.. I'm no spring chicken, and much as I'd like to, getting in and out of an RS3 and the like is not a pleasant experience, so the RSQ3 panders to my lifelong petrolhead needs.....and I can get in and out of the thing!

I’m in a similar age group I expect - I have to buy a car that my wife will enjoy. I had an A45 amg but she hated it, not because of its performance but because she said it was too low, hard to get in and out of and she couldn’t see enough of the road ahead??? Maybe the RSQ3 will satisfy us both

Did view one in the showroom about a month ago and was disappointed with the rear passenger and boot space.
There’s no doubting the RSQ3’s visual appeal, however, I think if practicality is your main consideration you would be better off in an M40i X3 or possibly an SQ5.
Hi Joe, Really am thinking about this car. I'd probably go for the more practical version. But I was put off by the Top Gear review that said the ride was terrible. What's it like in the RS (I know you said it was OK) and Comfort modes with the adjustable suspension, I noticed you drove down the A41 which is a good road to test comfort on as its awful right now :-)
I honestly thought the ride wasn't bad at all, this one had the 21's too, 20's would be the pick for the UK. It's miles better than cars like the X3M. Try and get a test drive 👌

I think it looks amazing. The Q3 sportback still has the SUV look but with sportier styling. What are you talking about confusing? I’ll tell you what looks confusing: X4 or X6 from BMW, are basically the 3GT and 5GT on stilts. They look absolutely hideous.
The only thing I dislike about the RSQ3 is how cheap the center console looks with the old school gear leaver. All that money spent you expect the latest shifter which is across most if not all Audi models.
Sublime in its own right. When you drive this, you are as invisible to most as you can be (which is what you need!!!) its not RS3, GOLF R, A45s or M-Series, it's just, PERFECTION. THEY SHOULD JUST CALL IT, RS-SUBMARINE

Some of those options are a joke and should be standard.
Not everyone wants the panoramic roof, especially since it somehow hinders performance. You are in an RSQ3 after all, not a regular Q3.

It's a fantastic looking car, but I can't get my head around spending this sort of money when you could buy a Porsche Macan GTS for similar.
OK, the Porsche will require a few extras, but the residuals on the Porsche v Audi are far better.
You wont get the discount that I got on my RSQ3 with a Macan. Love mine had it nearly a year. Its just a blast to drive.
Bazza, I have test driven both GTS and RSQ3, No comparison. Loved and enjoyed RSQ3 way more than GTS and also GLC43 AMG.
TPMS is an OPTION? C’mon Audi, that’s an essential piece of safety equipment that should be mandatory standard issue.
174mph in a blazingly bright green. No the cops won't be following you around all day long. They can just use a satellite. Unfortunately the RSQ3 doesn't come to Canada. And what's really odd is Audi doesn't make a SQ3. I don't see the point of that fastback hatch so I'd buy an RSQ3 if I could.

just 1.6k pounds for +19 miles/hr is the best deal i've ever seen, everyone should get it. or you can visit my shop close to every audi dealer and i can remove it completely just for 200bucks if you purchase 'being a dick to the audi' package.
