    I have the previous model RSQ3 with 340bhp. I'm not as young as I used to be with a dodgy back because of too many years playing rugby. But I'm not ready for a Corsa or Focus yet...and besides after test driving both, getting in and out was a problem, as was an RS3. The RSQ3 suits my needs perfectly. Right size, awesome engine, really quick, sounds great, decent fuel consumption and rare, which means it's value isn't dropping off a cliff edge.......and I can get in and out of it!

    • @idavidmcclune
      @idavidmcclune 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After many years of sports hatches, I too needed to move up in the world due to back problems. The original RS Q3 was the only choice at the time. I had the first version. Then the 340ps one. The review nails it. It's good looking, a great size, fantastic engine but not that engaging handling. Oh, sorry it's a review of the new one. Well that's a shame then!

      @@mattws5784 I'd say that it has more to do with entry and exit. Those of us with pinched discs, and other back injuries, have a difficult time with bending, twisting and dropping down into a bucket. To be able to step into and sit down in a car that has the seat almost level with the butt, makes things a lot more comfortable. Believe me, if I could, I'd love me a Focus RS, but with my injury, it has to be a sedan (RS6, etc.), or something like the RSQ3.

    Take it from an RS3 owner, the RSQ3 needs to come to America. American are drunk on SUV's and the RSQ3 will scratch the itch of city slickers who hate bending 19" alloys on their RS3 and could deal with extra ground clearance for the parking lot mountain ranges. Many of my RS3 friends have said they'd sell their cars for one. It truly is a baby Urus and Audi styling is on fire.

  • @csongorottodande9384
    @csongorottodande9384 4 ปีที่แล้ว +19

    Gotta love how the actual size of the openings in the front grill and air intakes are less than half the size of what they look. The main grill is huge but the actual opening that lets air in to the radiator is about 40% or less of the size. Then you have cars that have vents and intakes that don’t even allow any air in because they’re 100% fake.

  • @Drummin003
    @Drummin003 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If you're going to buy a CUV this is about the right size. I would take one of these over an RS3, since an RS3 is just a bit to small and cramped feeling for me and it wouldn't hold all the gear I need for work nearly as well. I'd say put a 1" smaller wheel on this and keep the sidewall the same to drop the ride height just a hair more, without having to shorten the coils/shocks and end up with a harsher ride. You might have to rework the alignment a bit, but that's a small price to pay as far as I'm concerned. I still abhor that gap at the front of the hood that has become the norm on Audis. I love the color of this car, but that gap stands out like a sore thumb and make the front end look incomplete in any color that is not charcoal or black, and I hate gray scale color cars.

  • @dreamcrusher112
    @dreamcrusher112 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    People often conflate these small suvs with their larger brothers. When I chose one over the focus I test drove, it was due to the greater livability and the height is a legitimate life saver when looking through traffic in rush hour.

    I like it.
    Sometimes you just want a big hatchback coupe looking car.

    What a aggressively okay vehicle.

    Doubt anyone will see that, but I'm guessing you guys are using GoPro 8 to film interior shots? I don't own one but watching lots of onboard videos filmed with them, is it possible to disable to stabilization? I find it really puke inducing to watch the car move like that with the camera attempting to stay stable with the horizon as a reference... If solid mounted to the car with no stabilization, I really find it nicer to watch....

    More than any car that I can think of this car underscores the problems facing the Australian carbuying public. I drive a 13 yr old Cayman and my wife a 13 yr old Honda CRV.
    Swapping the Honda for a snazzy up market sporty SUV is impossible without breaking out over $100,000. It’s nuts.
    Kia Sportage with a blue wrap anyone??

    I'm after a sporty'ish SUV and was considering an X3 M40i. Which would be the better car?

      The x3 m40i you fool. Good lord there is NO COMPARISON. Go to a dealer and test drive if you are in any way serious. These aren't even competitors. Good lord.

      @@NONARCS I'm guessing you haven't driven an X3 M40i then? They are seriously quick cars. But not driven an Q3-RS yet, as awaiting local dealer to get one in. Yes, the X3 is the next size up, but was after a serious answer regarding ride / power / usability, rather than being called a fool. But Cheers anyway.
