4-20 mA industrial sensors are connected to a Raspberry Pi Pico-FX1N PLC with a 4-20 mA current-to-voltage converter module. The module output is first calibrated to 3.3 volts to match the Raspberry Pi Pico voltage tolerance range. A 4-20 mA current source injects a 4-20 mA current range into the module, and the corresponding zero and span output voltages are adjusted with potentiometers on the module as measured by a multimeter. An industrial temperature transmitter function is programmed into the Raspberry Pi Pico-FX1N PLC with the Mitsubishi GX works 2 to operate a relay at a setpoint.
The Raspberry Pi Pico, unlike the previous Raspberry Pis, is a microcontroller board like the Arduino Nano but built around the RP2040 microcontroller chip. You can turn a Raspberry Pi Pico into a Mitsubishi FX1N Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). A firmware developed by Suratin of TF Maker Shop on GitHub will turn a Raspberry Pi Pico into a Mitsubishi FX1N PLC. The Raspberry Pi Pico - Mitsubishi FX1N PLC can then be programmed with GX Works2 or GX Developer. The GX Works2 or GX Developer software is the Mitsubishi OEM software for programming their brand and series of PLCs.

Very nice video, I,ve been testing the Pico-FX1N with ScadaBR with some results. Could you do a video on the Modbus features of the 1.8 firmware? Not sure if it's me or the modbus is very limited. Only able to use the "y" outputs as coils. Thanks

@@OnosTech Access to plenty of "D" holding registers, Inputs. Strange no access to "M" coils. Have FX3U working good with ScadaBR . Access to read "X" inputs, read-write "D" holding and read-write "M" coils , maybe a glitch in the FX1N FW. Tried asking TF Maker but not sure he speaks English, no response.

If we have more than 2 analog sensor in the system??

Use 2 current-to-voltage converter modules connected to AI0(D1000) and AI1(D1001)

You have a point here. It should be around 0.5V
