- now that The Sims 4 base game is free to play, we we wanted to build a base game ONLY house, but funner. So we tried a magical cottage tree house instead!

That flower cart is a cursed item. If it is on a lot, all the sims will flock to it and view it endlessly. Nancy Landgraab literally *starved to death* viewing it over and over and over while I had my sim use the piano on the Municipal Muses lot for tips in a rags to riches, but all the sims seemed unable to walk away from the magnificence of the cart. Half of them just kept viewing it and saying "Uh-huh!" while Grimm came and took Nancy. I am afraid to use it in any house builds, as it is clearly cursed by the Fey.
I love how their videos almost have a podcast feel. It’s so calming to just listen to their banter while watching them build.

14:34 all the funature was put in the house via crane before the roof was built, then covered with tarps while the house was finished, the little things went up the ladder.

I had a roommate who had a couch too big to get into the front door of the apartment (due to the angle of the stairs) and so he got it up by just doing ropes over the balcony. The treehouse definitely had to be ropes.
Okay I don't know if you gals will see this, but when I do builds where I want the sink in a certain spot (or I'm feelin' fancy) I use a pedestal sink! Resize and scooch it into the cabinet wherever you want it. *Chef's kiss*

Also playing off the style mashups, maybe do college dorms? The kind where two completely different people in the midst of transitioning from childhood to adulthood are forced to share a room while trying to develop new styles and identities, unhindered by parental supervision. So much potential for environmental storytelling. So many different ways to decorate the same block of rooms. Backpacks. Communal bathrooms. Hall decor and community rooms and student kitchens that haven't been updated since the 90s. CLUTTER. EVERYWHERE.

one of my all time favorite videos of a creator making something is when dollightful decided to do a project with everything she wanted to do in it. i would love to see something similar--a build with no restrictions, and solely stuff you enjoy! as many plants and cluttery bits and book nooks as your heart desires. your videos make me so happy to watch, so id love to see one of yall doing a build entirely catered towards yourselves!
What's crazy is you can put this in your world FIRST day with the right plot. Directly from gallery, no overspending, but you do technically have to have cheats on because of the custom placement

I think I just finished binge-watching all your videos. Fantastic, now what do I do with my life? Your comment about sized-down dressers still functioning made me wonder...can you make a dollhouse that works as a fully functional house inside of a bigger house?
Other ideas: underwater mermaid grotto house, Candyland house where the rooms are styled after the different characters, shell challenge where the rooms are shaped like puzzle pieces, and actual Barbie Dreamhouse (So. Many. Closets.)

I build base game homes a lot in Sims games and put it up for others to use. Sometimes I'll make ones that use only one pack along with base game for the ones who have that pack but I usually don't add more than one unless it's for myself to use as I don't want others to not be able to use buildings I make because of various reasons. It's fun trying base game homes and adding a car in the driveway of a building for looks too...

Fun fact, this build inspired me to try playing Sims again. Turns out I still think it feels like managing a bunch of tamagotchi, but the build (which I downloaded to play in) is gorgeous.

I was so excited to use this build for my first spellcaster sim, I changed the ladder to be stairs so the cats could use it. The first TEN MINUTES of gameplay, my sim dies in a fire after trying to make eggs and toast 😭I've never had a sim die accidentally before LMAOOO
