Tbh I'd love to see this world be converted into a normal, non-hardcore playthrough now.
We saw how far it could go under hardcore, but I still want to see you go after lost cities and Amalgalich.

The real loss is the nunchucks due to Curse of Possession, if he continues. Though not really like he could recover much from that fight anyway. Have to rebuild again.
Tbh I expected this series to last 3 episodes, so this was epic.
considering how many times Jardon died in the co-op series with X33N, this was a jaw-droppingly good run. dying in a massive boss battle is definitely the way to go out. gg Jardon!

Well, that's that I suppose. This was honestly a great series, it's one of the things that brought me back into your channel for the first time in a long while. Happy to see it at least come to a proper end. Also I had no idea what to expect with a 15-min timer on the episode this time, wasn't sure if it was like Rahovart or not lmao. Obv it was the latter :(

Edit: [Spoilers Below + Things to point out for future episodes, Timestamps below!]
Out of all the things he died from... I wouldn't think the final hit comes from a trite. Honestly, if he *just* had the cross necklace instead - I feel like this fight would've been easier on him... if not a victory. I wouldn't mind seeing him attempt again, because honestly his luck this hardcore run was just insane. Maybe don't have it hardcore... hell the pack is unfair enough prior to these bosses - and you went in basically blind the first time in hardcore itself.
For those wanting to learn from this vid:
1 - Cross necklace is the literal best. Prevents you from being hurt more than once per second. 10/10 usefulness.
2 - Heart Dust lets you craft arrows that heal if you hit enemies. Useful to keep your health up. The decay effect really sucks though (cure!).
3 - Stay on the mount (or A mount of sorts) and armor it up with diamond armor. Even an unleveled Morock with diamond armor is incredibly tanky. The mount isn't an issue, it can definitely be a cushion of damage (cause who cares if the mount gets hurt, it's you that matters most).
4 - Don't use a quiver. Survivability goes up when you have a solid shield with Natural Blocking II. Every little bit counts. Keep arrows in your inventory. This is a boss fight - you're here for boss loot and nothing else. If you're going ranged only - keep that shield there just so natural blocking can protect you from some hits. (Also, upping that shield passive would be pretty nice)
5 - Potions stack up to 8. Potions of healing are insanely cheap to brew. If you're at the point where you can fight this boss - chances are high that you can brew this potion cheaply. Make loads, make them all splash, read #6.
6 - Rejuvenation increases all healing, and counteracts Decay. While Battle Burrito sounds nice, think of it like this. You're going ranged only, Strength is useless. It grants resistance... with the 3 resistance baubles - that's useless. Absorption is extremely temporary as it cannot be healed off - and you can gain absorption through many other methods. Regeneration, while useful, will get negated over and over. Rejuvenation is the most important out of all of these. Know what gives that? Paleo salad.
Need an Emergency Heal? Salad to the rescue.
Salad > Enchanted Medkit > Healed.
Salad > Potions of Healing (Splash, Lingering, etc) > Healed. (If you can muster the ingredients to farm, lingering healing + salad + enchanted medkit = bonkers healing rate without doing damage)
Salad > Vampire Arrows (Hitting any enemy) > Healed.
Note: Lingering potions can cheese the removal of debuffs. A few lingering potions of cure can guarantee temporary default-or-greater healing zones. If you do not want to deal with getting lingering (and believe me, I understand) - just making them splash is good enough. Rid the decay. Decay is your nemesis.
Few stats (All of these are after eating a paleo salad): 24 HP on *all limbs* in 6 uses of Enchanted Medkit. 24 HP on *all limbs* in 7 Instant Health II (splash) Potion uses (on the ground, at the feet). (Vampire arrows are a mess to test, so just take my word for it - they're useful. They won't do as much damage as iron/diamond/dragon arrows - but they'll give you survivability)
TL;DR - Cross Necklace + Lots of Salad + Actual healing methods (not relying on melee) = (at minimum) 10x better chance of survival.
Also why the hecc would you think I'd Timestamp the (presumed) finale episode of the series? 😋... All the others in the comments just ruining the surprise :p
Just don't try and fight that boss with only protection 4 on your armour and no strengthened vitality 5....Also reroll all of your baubles to undying, drink potions of trueshot, health, diamond skin and iron skin...The pendant or quiver didn't really matter but he should of put the Ankh shield in his off hand and had another undying bauble in it's place, i would of definitely swapped the resistance potion rings for something more useful, strength and health perhaps.
@@BakermanCoD2 Yeah but since he's doing range-only, strength is entirely useless (Strength *only* affects melee). There *are* rare rings that you can't craft (I, myself, found a ring of block reach as an example) - so I don't know which rings are obtainable out there. The potions wouldn't matter too much since this boss deletes your buffs over and over (except for health).
Honestly, like I said in the original comment, Cross Necklace + Healing things (potions, medkit, etc) + salads, would've made everything so much better for him :c
That sinful pendant is just a darn joke at this rate, cause there's no way in hell any other pendant is more valuable than "can only be hit once per second". I bet you survive more *with* the cross necklace and 0 undying than full undying without the cross necklace (assuming armor still have the appropriate protection, and all baubles are the same minus the quality). Sure, all the undying is 24% damage reduction... but that's 24% damage reduction to enemies hitting you 2 times per second, or 24% less damage reduction for 1 time per second.
What hits harder? 2 15 damage hits with 24% of the damage reduced (aka. -7 damage total), for a total of 23 damage? Or 1 15 damage hit? That .5 seconds of extra invulnerability is like saying "no" to 1 hit guaranteed.
Now, granted, if the boss does some wave attack or one heavy hit - cross or no cross makes no difference. But Jordan died in this fight because he was rapid-fire hit from basic enemies and the boss's minigun. The consistent pecking of the trites also didn't help in his survival (in fact, he died to the trite! ... a lowly trite, out of all the bs he encountered and risked... a trite. Not even the boss).
@@masterkevkev Only Asmodeus was ranged, having strength to kill trite's quicker so you can heal faster worked for me.
It takes quite a lot of hits for your potion affects to be depleted, if he had a load of them the battle might of been over quicker...It only took me two minuets in Hardcore to kill Asmodeus but i had every potion affect plus silver armour and i was fully enchanted...Bottom line is he didn't prepare enough.
Sin pendant giving extra damage and extra armour so it's pretty beefy..

In my opinion you won the game already when you successfully defeated the big dragons. That was the original goal.

Great series! Looking forward to the next RL Craft series you do. Hope you read the comments and learn other more successful approaches to Asmodeus fight. Really need to grind out undying rolls on all the baubles, have splash potions of health, Advanced Protection IV, Strengthened Vitality V, True Shot, Diamond Skin, Iron Skin.
Carry a shield instead of the quiver. Biggest mistake overall was the quiver.
Silver Armor is a necessity to get through the Lost Cities anyway.
I agree on everything apart from the quiver, that's exactly how i carry my quiver, personally i think his problem was the two unnecessary resistance rings, if he had swapped those for something like health and speed ring with quality undying and kept the toolbelt and had the Ankh shield in his off hand he would of made it.

Very good game. Most impressive to me, is actually surviving the early game, in hardcore. There I usually die literally a hundred times. After that, I reach a point, where I'm close enough to invincible, to make hardcore imaginable to me, since I'm really good at optimizing defense. Then I usually only die, when I fall asleep, in front of the PC.
On the Warp Scroll delay and dmg preventing its use: Just use the Magic Mirror or Recall Potions, instead. And yes, contrary to what many think, you actually can use them in any dimension. You just need to have your spawn point there, which contrary to vanilla is possible in any dimension for RLCraft. The most comfortable and reliable way, is to set up a safe house in the dimension and place one of those golden Respawner Statues there and activate it, when you reach that dimension. They are found in the new Nether structures, available since 2.9, can be broken and taken with you.
Magic Mirror and Recall Pations are also fast enough to safe you from falling into the void. That makes End exploration much safer.
If you set up a safe house right outsight of a boss arena wall, you can Magic Mirror out of the fight, as often as you like, heal up and get right back into the fight.
Possible continuation suggestion, the "Pay off the Devil" route. Donate some money to charity, and then continue the world now with the punishment that if you die again, you have to donate more.
I loved the series, I hope you will complete the modpack one day.
If you drop all the +hearts prefixes for +armor toughness then Azz’s attacks should basically hit for only .5 hearts, which, overall is WAY better and due to your regen it gets healed before he even attacks again

Cap, I know this is probably a bit late, but there is actually "refined storage" in RLCraft- They're also called crates, and they're added by the Varied Commodities mod. If you ever do a future playthrough of RLCraft again, that'll probably help.

Was a good run. Sad that you did not do more research on bosses, and I don't mean looking at other videos, but doing experimenting yourself. The twitch chat also pointed out that Asmodeus has a special ability that nullifies projectile damage at a certain distance, also you found out first-hand that it does things with your potion effects.
Still, very enjoyable series. Next do Divine Journey with P33n >:D

well i played enough warframe to see where this was gonna end up. too much attention on killing the boss not enough on healing. dont worry jordan its pretty hard to try both but generally its most important above all else to survive then try to do damage. also the little minions swarming is always some serious bs lol. healing first checking critical weakpoints at all times and not getting greedy warframe ways to live by. looks like it could apply here too. there definitely should be a way to focus the bonus health from the vitality enchants more towards your head even if its on your chest, boots, or pants. would make it abit more fair seeing as your head is soo weak and you cant seem to do much to help it :/ (p.s. wasnt trying to be a dick with the comment in case it seems like i might have been) great series jordan and i look forward to the next installment of hardcore rlcraft!!! :D

I'm so sorry 5 videos ago i predicted you would die fighting Asmodeus, you even mentioned it at the start of the next video..He is tough if you don't go in there prepared...

You should have focused on armour more like making the golem armour and getting better protection also a splash potions of healing are very important.
But it is what it is you had a very good captain you did well o7....
He could've also gotten way more health. Heck, he could've probably have killed it in this session alone with max health/damage protection. It's not like he didn't have the levels to just keep cycling for strengthened vitality like he did with his bow enchants. He also could've easily farmed nether stars using Rahovart and just rerolled everything to undying. He was just too focused on speedrunning because he thinks grinding doesn't make good content.
@@Wheres_my_Dragonator Yeh, he wasn't prepared at all, even at the end of his last video he said he would look up some strategies, he clearly didn't as he did exactly the same as the last video.
@@Wheres_my_Dragonator Ya you are right but at the same time he spent way too much time trying to find manding books instead he should have focused on making Golem armour (which doesn't need manding nor unbreaking) and then he can focus on getting the best protection as well as max strength and vitality....
@@galaxymw9630 Golem armour is over rated, it's not needed...Soon as you find adv protection 4 silver armour or dragon is fine.
@@BakermanCoD2 even so not needing manding and unbreaking is pretty good considering that Jordan spent about 6 episodes looking for manding all that time could have been spent in getting advanced protection as well as strength and vitality.

You can defeat Asmodeus with just the nunchucks as Grippi does it in his last HC playthru but you only get lifesteal when you kill something.
