@@michaelharder9737 yea but this is the problem at the moment we are not doing that, as he admitted himself, none was allowed to try. Why is that ? Well if we do allow them in and they cannot make it would be a huge problem for those that claim that women can do everything a man can do. If they do make it it would be a huge problem for those that claim the opposite. So both sides are kinda scared to try. But if we lower the standards both sides could sell that to their camp, one side could say say see they make it, the other side can say see they needed to lower the standards. Both sides are happy. So I really fear this is what is going to happen. Both sides do not want to risk to piss of their camp if they can guarantee a "victory"
Scott L I say let women fight men in mma too if they want to. I just don’t want to hear complaining when 99% of women vs men matches end with the dude winning.
I’m a woman and I wholeheartedly think the standards should stay the same and if whoever person can do it than great- male/female. No coddling. So irritating. This is life and death stuff.
Problem is that they're eventually always lowered. Women are allowed in, yet none make it. That's "sexist", so what happens? They lower the standards. Look at the SAS for proof of that.
As a millennial woman, and sister to a retired SEAL....10000% agree. The standard is the standard, whoever can qualify should be allowed in, but if you don’t tough shit.
Agreed. You have to be able to do these things because it could be life or death out there. Your life and others are on the line. There’s nothing wrong if you’re not that quality that’s the point of the training. They need that quality and frankly there’s tons of men who can’t even reach that brass ring. Let alone look like at it.
I agree, but you have to remember that 80% of military roles are support, not actual combat. You don't need to be doing 20 mile ruck marches for a desk job analyzing air traffic. A consensus could be cutoff standards that fit the conditions of the job, with no extra coddling to forcibly 'diversify.' SEALs meet SEAL standards, infantry meets infantry standards, deskies meet deskie standards.
@@purplekitty And politicians gets their support by the ones backing them, aka people voting them into office. You can not blame one side without blaming the other, it is all connected. Tell me how politicians gets voted into office the first place, must uh be uh voting for them.
I read a memoir about a Navy SEAL going overseas before and during his military career. He explained with a lot of detail what happens during Hell Week... I thought to myself, "Ha, no thank you! Men can try. I'm staying home with the kids" 🤣
And I think most women will agree. As you see here it's ALWAYS men complaining about how women want standards lowered when we never even see women asking for that.
Yeah i agree! This is not a sport where you simply put females with males. This is life and death. If my husband is gonna go out there risking his life then there sure as hell be alongside the best of the best. This is not a game. Going to war! people actually dies! you don't lower the standards of training just to get more diversity. If a woman pass the test then sure let he through. But you don't lower the standards in order to make her pass the test. Theres alot of lives on the line here.
I now understand what joe means when he said "not even men can do everything men can do". I'm a marine myself, and honestly there's no way I'd make it through something like buds. Boot camp is one thing, but being able to power through broken bones and shit... No thank you
BUD/S is a very specialized program that requires a certain type of physiology that other special operations units do not. Combat diving like being a fighter pilot requires a very special body type that not everybody has. And on top of that the training is as complex as a whole as the likes of Army Special Forces and Rangers. It makes it very unique.

By lowering standards you’re admitting that you aren’t equal. Edit: why the heck is this my most popular comment and can you please stop arguing about whatever you’re arguing about. Thanks in advance.
Even if they do meet the standards which are not lowered, they are still toast. Theres a reason why they were not allowed in the first place. I came across an interview of a female marine who said that women should not be allowed because training is so rigorous that it caused her to lose her fertility! Its upto them now. If they are willing to take such risks just for the sake of some politically correct agenda, let them go ahead with it.

No. Every male occupation that allows women in is eventually forced to lower the standards and take extremely subpar women in when none of them make it. It's opening up a can of worms.
@@americanpig-dog7051 I want to agree with the original poster. Morally he is correct, same standards for all would be fair. In reality every time this happens, what you said comes true. Right! If they need to lower the standards then it will just make the men weaker and then it will start to be considered rude to outperform the women. They only want this because they are so starved of genuine affection and respect from their fathers and/or husbands. Motherhood is seen as pathetic and as a low accomplishment, as if children would learn to grow up on thier own without any parental support, guidance, and nurturing and love. Just because they have changed some things, doesn't mean they should have. As soon as we start bending to the will of people's feelings, the easier we will bend to the will of the enemy.
@@jobertsworld35 Please tell me an example of where they lowered a standard and it wasn't a good decision. Don't lower the test. If a woman makes it through, don't make a big deal of her, all it means is that she is as capable as her battle brothers. Which is something expected of any man in the unit. It may be exceptional for a female, but her being female isn't important, being seal material is important.
But combat effectiveness shouldn't matter as long as a woman FEELS accepted and comfortable in her role, even if she's had to cheat to get into the same position as a man! (sarcasm)

On the other hand you have the idiots who say that it's a boy's club and no girls allowed regardless of their capabilities because they don't want cooties. These are the mouthpieces of both sides.

Just like how they lowered standards for fire fighting....if I'm trapped in a burning house I want the 6 foot 4 ex football player not the gal who just barely passed
You do realise there are men that barely pass too, right? I think what you mean is you don't want someone unqualified to do a job, and I agree... no need to bring sex into it tho. If a women is fit and capable, why can't she be a firefighter?
I don't really care who pulls me out of a burning building, but in my 35 years of life I'm not sure I've ever met a single woman who could put on 50lbs of firefighting gear, climb a ladder, lift 200lbs of floppy unconscious man off the floor and onto her shoulder, and carry him back down a ladder. But if she exists, then I have no problem with her being a firefighter. They should just have to meet the same standards as men to do the same job. I got nothing against women, but I don't care to die for "diversity".

When I went to BUD/S I didn’t prepare enough for the stress of running. I got shin splints in pre-BUD/S and pretty much had to just deal with it throughout BUD/S until my legs finally adapted around third phase. Many guys who got shin splints way later than me developed stress fractures and most of them didn’t make it. A couple years after I made it through training there was an opportunity for the guys in the teams to do a DEXA scan. The result showed that my bone density was in the 99th percentile meaning I was in the top 1% of men with high bone density which explains why my bones were able to withstand the stress of running with shin splints which puts additional stress on your legs. I have no doubt that my bone density prevented many injuries that I wasn’t even aware of that you can’t really prepare for. Sure a female runner is not going to get shin splints in BUD/S but her lower bone density, weaker immune system etc will likely prevent her from staying healthy. A woman who is a better runner and a swimmer than a man might look like a better candidate but no amount of specific training regimen is going to bring her body up to speed compared to a man. She’s going to need a lot of gear and even that’s not likely to work because taking gear causes damage to your body and you need to be a very healthy person to get through BUD/S.
I joined the army when I was 35 and I told them I want to have the same standards of the 18 yr olds or it’s not really accomplishment for me . I did really well top 20 in the company. That’s also sad these kids today aren’t built like us older guys who grew up playing sports n being outdoors all day I had a great time as a kid miss those days
Hi, I’m a woman in her 20s and I’m training to become a U.S. Navy SEAL. I’m a civilian and I want to go enlisted. What advice would you give for women that want to be SEALs? If you had to go to BUD/S again, how would you prepare differently? What books or workout programs would you recommend? Most female SEAL candidates struggle with carrying the boats and logs, doing pull ups, having grip strength and completing the “Dirty Name” on the obstacle course. Also, a lot of female SEAL candidates break their legs or develop stress fractures.
@@Anonymous18817 Women are not going to make it through BUD/S. Your body and mind get tested at the most primal level and we live in a world today that preaches that women and men are the same which is absolutely false. I’m not going to tell you not to do it but I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that first phase will break you psychologically and physically and not in the cliche way you hear all the time. I have seen plenty of elite female athletes who are good at one thing they specialize at but they’re below average at other physical capabilities compared to average men. If you have to find out for yourself go do it but if you fail there will be a price to pay.
The odds of you completing SEAL training are not favorable: 1 in 4. Each year, about 1,000 recruits make it to SEAL training. About 250 complete their training and join approximately 2,000 more active SEALs, who work among nine active duty teams. Some SEAL candidates choose to drop out of the program, and some are forced out. Candidates who fail to complete training are reclassified to other jobs in the Navy. Lowering the standards should be an insult to anyone that wants to truly accomplish such a calling.
The failure statistics themselves pretty much eliminate every excuse to not allow women to have a shot at BUDS. Hold them to the same standard and see how they do. Or are people afraid that some of these women will actually make it?
I’ve been a Tom-boy my whole life, Crossfit coach, and martial arts trained. But there is not one cell of my body that feels threatened or reduced by the fact that men are WAY superior in some things than I’ll ever be. The idea that “we are equal” is about as stupid as saying men have periods. At my very best, I couldn’t come close to the men I trained with unless it was body-weight gymnastic movements like pull-ups (yes, I could own the men on kipping pull-ups, and also lunges, burpees, squats, etc. I was better on endurance than some, but the guys who ran marathons owned me. Women might call me a traitor, but I coached too many people to try to say men aren’t all around better. And it’s not only physical. A man’s mind is better able to compartmentalize their emotions or reactions in co flirt than women. Sorry again. It’s true. Testosterone inhibits oxytocin, which means men don’t get all squishy in the heart about something the same. I’m not saying all. My friend is a forensic chemist and ran the homicide lab in my county, and she could put aside the fucking most horrible things to do her job. Once o told her I would always be consumed with why, why would someone kill their own child? Why would someone stab a woman to death and keep her in a freezer for years. This is what she said-I don’t think about why they do it. I focus on getting enough evidence so they can’t do it again. Bad-ass. But not exactly an athlete. I love men. I love that they rush into danger when I’d run like a bitch. I love that they are strong and protective. I love that they protect the country. The one thing I think women can do just as well or better is sniping. My firearms instructor even told me that women shoot better than men. Now, if I was put in a bell tower with a rifle, I could do some damage. It would be a problem getting me there though. Even in video games I make my son walk me to the safe spot before I shoot. It’s too scary to walk around when everybody is shooting at me. Men and women should not compete. We can’t. We should do what we do best and let the other one do the same.
Generally, ignoring the unusual, women are better at sustained focus. That likely includes sniping, spying, some factory and admin jobs, managerial jobs with limited resources and a clear goal.

I experienced the lower standards first hand with "Lioness" teams in Afghanistan. No one got hurt, thankfully, but us male infantry Marines were put in danger several times when the Lioness' were in situations they couldn't handle. The image of female military running towards the gate away from gunfire as we were running out the gate towards gunfire is forever burned in my mind.

The Navy convened a Board consisting of senior enlisted and senior officers, mostly women around 2013 or 2014. The topic, BUDS standards for women. In a nearly unanimous vote the board voted to require women to meet men's standards. The only dissenting votes were from men. My old Master Chief sat this board, she said the female enlisted board members (who made up the majority of the board) had no intention of tarnishing the mission effectiveness of the SEALs by lowering standards for women.

I’m all for women in positions in the military, so long as they can fill those positions as good or better than the men in them. There are plenty of women who do just that. Most don’t though- at least in the combat arms side of things. That’s where my experience is. I’ve been in for 8 years now, so I’ve really experienced the shift in lowering standards for women, for the sake of political correctness. Any woman who is truly for equal opportunity and cares about those they’re serving with, should not want standards lowered. You can’t have honest pride knowing something was given to you more easily than another marine, soldier, airman, etc. Whether you’re a man or woman, that’s applicable to everyone.
Nice one liner, but as for SF in general world wide, essentialy seems to be a fail on reality check. What do you base your view on? GI Jane...? (its both fictional and very dated, is it not). Look up what soldiers in other SF units says nowadays and you might get surpised. They ARE 'in the ring' and the call the shots on what they need. @Vick Murray I’m sorry are you under the impression that combat is only holding a gun and running rough terrain? Or to join the seals or rangers? And are you insinuating that if women can’t qualify for seals or elite tier special forces they are somehow useless in combat or the armed forces? Women can’t be pilots? Women can’t operate complicated machinery? Women can’t drive transports? Women can’t fire artillery or call in the right coordinates for air strikes? As for why women haven’t participated in wars you are wrong. You are obviously no student of history so I recommend you go read a book. Vikings had shield maddens, Japanese women were samurai and trained for combat they just didn’t carry the two swords, the most famous battle commander in history is Joan d arc, the list goes on and currently the best trained fighting forces in the Middle East are all female units. But don’t let your lack of education stop a good story rooted in idiocy. Logically speaking I see no reason why anyone who wants to fight for their country can’t. The armed forces is a huge thing and there is room for everyone. And also let’s stop lying to ourselves that to be good at modern war you have to be huge and macho, the way things are going being a tiny nerd good at drone piloting is more important.
@@Primenumber19 The internet isn’t really supporting many of these historical claims, or at least the ones I looked at. Shield Maidens only existed in Folklore until they found….one Viking woman soldier. Joan of Arc is nowhere listed in the top ten as a military leader unless there’s an errant list bouncing around (maybe, I didn’t see one). There’s some info on the Middle Eastern female field units but no qualifying statements as “best trained.” Unless “trained” is the operating word. The Onna-Bugeisha part holds up, though citations are mainly to protect homes when the line held by men at war were breached (ie no choice but to fight), with some anecdotal exceptions. I can appreciate that contributions have changed and physical ability isn’t the determinant for many integral roles, this women should be permitted to serve. But preceding the modern era observations of female battle contributions made news because of rarity, bolstered by ‘aspirational’ analysis. As far as the central debate surrounding elite special forces, it’s true women aren’t capable of qualifying until it’s proven they can. All it takes, is a passing grade without lowered expectations. Until we have that, moot.
Whenever this is the topic, it’s always a GI Jane image. Always. The idea of lowering standards for inclusivity is innately prejudice. You can’t have it both ways. The USMC $36 Million dollar study on Female Infantry: Within the research at the Infantry Training Battalion, females undergoing that entry-level training were injured at more than SIX-times the rate of their male counterparts 27% of female injuries were attributed to the task of movement under load, compared to 13% for their male counterparts, carrying a similar load. During the GCEITF assessment, musculoskeletal injury rates were 40.5% for females, compared to 18.8% for males All-male 0311 (rifleman) infantry squads had better accuracy compared to gender-integrated squads. There was a notable difference between genders for every individual weapons system (i.e. M4, M27, and M203) within the 0311 squads, except for the probability of hit & near miss with the M2. Male provisional infantry (those with no formal Infantry school training) had higher hit percentages after movement to contact than the 0311 (school trained) females: M4: 44% vs 28%, M27: 38% vs 25%, M16A4w/M203: 26% vs 15%. Accuracy diminishes with fatigue. All-male infantry crew-served weapons teams engaged targets quicker and registered more hits on target as compared to gender-integrated infantry crew-served weapons teams, with the exception of M2 accuracy. All-male squads, teams and crews and gender-integrated squads, teams, and crews had a noticeable difference in their performance of the basic combat tasks of negotiating obstacles and evacuating casualties. For example, when negotiating the wall obstacle, male Marines threw their packs to the top of the wall, whereas female Marines required regular assistance in getting their packs to the top. During casualty evacuation assessments, there were notable differences in execution times between all-male and gender-integrated groups, except in the case where teams conducted a casualty evacuation as a one-Marine fireman's carry of another (in which case it was most often a male Marine who "evacuated" the casualty). All-male squads, regardless of infantry MOS, were faster than the gender-integrated squads in each tactical movement. The differences were more pronounced in infantry crew-served weapons (such as Machine Guns) specialties that carried the assault load plus the additional weight of crew-served weapons and ammunition.

We lowered standards for in the Marines. Do the men that went through the higher standards trust them to do their jobs as infantry women? Similarly, there's a theory in the psychology community that the campaign to get girls into STEM is driving girls away. They are being told how women are harassed and ostracized in those fields, so girls go for career paths that don't involve being lonely and miserable. The perception of the campaign is a bunch of feminists that got gender studies degrees telling others to be the actual force for change and bear the real burden. The irony is that women would have a lot of opportunities over men in those fields just from diversity initiatives.
Also, it happens to Olympic gold meddle women twice hockey twice. And let us not mention Serena and her sister blow out to a ranked 200 tennis player guy who 3 months later ranked down to 300.

Okay but hypothetically the type of women that would be in this situation probably aren’t average or 5’4” and 115 lbs. It’s not like they all come in one size or that every Marine is that size.
It is a FACT that women CAN get trough special forces training. You are ignorant, I litterally saw it first handed that a woman could handle the tests where a lot of elite strenght and conditioning men failed. The woman was 1 of the 6 people that finished the test. You are somewhat playing victim here like people labeled your "facts" sexist.
Today I was at a conference and it was a board interview. The board was composed of 2 women and 2 men, the moderator (a female) said it was nice to see balance. My first thought was, do we really care for balance or do we want competence? I couldn't care less if this board was exclusively male or female till they are competent I am happy with that. I think this is very relevant in our today's society where people DARE to promote diversity (in gender and sexual orientation, as if it was important to get the job done) over competence. It's sick and the symptom of a society that is suffering from idiocracy.
Bad idea. Because if a woman gets in, she will mess with the chemistry and men will act different around her. This link says otherwise. dailycaller.com/2019/08/28/female-rangers-us-army-ranger-school/ Let's be honest here, of course they wont say they lowered the standards they want to attract more woman to do it. I saw our guide in MCT who was a woman drop out on the final hump they gave her pack to one of the other guys and her rifle he carried it for the whole damn hike practically, outperformed her in every aspect, well majority of us did but than she ended up getting the meritorious mast out of it and the dude ain't get shit. Let's be honest. She had no control of the platoon how a guide should and she got a meritorious mast. Sounds weird right. The standards are already lower for women but if you are going to do a combat job they should be raised on par with what the males do and should be evaluated the same, which they havent been, ESPECIALLY combat MOS's. But hey believe what you wan. Yes they say they dont want to change the standards keyword is "dont want to" that doesnt mean they wont. Just like the army ranger school where they clearly changed the standards even though they didn't want to. So come on. Let's be honest. I'm not saying no woman cant cause I know there are some that can trust me they are bad ass and I got to serve with them but majority cant. Especially when it comes to special forces. If they are struggling for normal marin corps infantry how do you think they would do for MARSOC or Navy Seals where the training is 10 times harder. Shit even army ranger school is tough and the link shows they were given the P's there when they shouldn't have.

As a woman who strongly believes in equal opportunity for both genders and strengthening women both physically and mentally, I give this video a big thumbs up and thank you Joe for trying to state the facts without fearing about not being PC enough or even shitting on the whole female gender. Thank you for allowing a completely fact based conversation to happen. I also don't think they should lower their standards just to get women in. I appreciate that they're allowing us in now but if we can't get through their super difficult training, then tough shit.. it is what it is. Then if someday a woman does pass it, every rational person would know that she fucking earned that position, and it was not handed to her based on her gender.
If you were an actual adult instead of a fucking child you'd abhor the notion of women being given an opportunity to do something like this. This is why you get shitted on. You don't think. Notice the lack of a question mark.
As a woman (who is a stay at home mom, so I probably don't "count" because I'm giving in to the patriarchy), being a Navy SEAL is probably the last thing I would want and the last thing that I would do well at.

In London we have a lot of female police officers, a fair few times I have seen them try to restrain and chase after men in their heavy uniforms and it’s just comical.
I was a copper in Scotland for 11 years and I was always wary when paired with a female because not one of them ever took command of a violent situation and nipped it in the bud. It was always me or another guy.
Woman here. Absolutely insulting that they want to lower the bar to “allow women in”. Not all men can be SEALS and naturally one would assume that not all women can be SEALS. If you lower the bar, then it’s not the same thing anymore.
@Ammon Herrera LOL Psychology is anything BUT the softest or farcical science out there XD. Clinical psychologists (Jordan Peterson is one of them) help couples that are about to divorce, drug addicts, and people who wrecked their lives to heal their trauma and advance in life. Just hearing the stuff they help people with (e.g. sexual assault, harrassement, childhood abuse etc.) would tramautize a normal human being. Jordan is also not "pampered" in any way, he had a rough upbringing as a kid and was physically small through school. I believe I remember him saying he was bullied for this. You clearly do not know the facts about science or people unlike Jordan Peterson who does XD
Being in the fire department in Sydney Australia, a mate of mine had a female firefighter standby at his station. Being near 60 he use to drive the pumper pretty often. He’d done the hard yards. Anyway, they get called to a building alight with persons reported. The driver operates the pump and as he’s getting it ready, the female firefighter just stood there. He said,”hurry up and get your air set on, there’s people reported”. She turned to him and said, “I’ve got three kids at home I can’t go in there”. He asked if she could operate the pump and when she said she could, he got his air set on and went inside. When I told some senior officers this, they asked if “he had reported it”. I just laughed. True story.
Thats why american fire fighters dont have two different sets of standards. One set of requirements period. Every woman I have served with would never do this. Looks like you aussies need to re evaluate your standards. Could be why you are short handed for wild fires.

Story for ya. For context, I'm a retired USAF ARFF Firefighter. Firefighting can be extremely difficult, yet generally speaking nowhere near the constant hell a Navy Seal goes thru. I heard the Miami-Dade Cty FD was hiring, I drove up to apply, the Captain laughed at me! Told me I didn't have a prayer of being hired because I'm a white man! But if my wife applied she'd most likely get hired. So, along with 3500 other women, she applied. 1st thing was showing up on time, dozens of women self-eliminated by being late. 2nd was a 5 station modified FF combat challenge course, 40 lb. Hotel pack carry up a 5 story tower, 40 lb Dounut roll raise to the 4th fl. via a 1" hemp rope then lift the hose roll over a 44" high ledge. 3rd was the Kaiser sled, using an 8 lb dead blow shot mallet with zero rebound drive a 200 lb steel block 5 ft. 4th was 150 lb dummy drag for 100 ft. 5th was 1-3/4 charged hoseline drag for 100 ft. All while wearing a 25 lb. weighted vest and structural firefighting gloves. They had 7 minutes to finish. 96% failed. So they lowered the standards by placing a pallet on the ground in front of the 4th fl. window lowering the height to 39". 96% failed again. The standards were lowered again by increasing the time to 8 minutes. Enough women passed to make up a couple of recruit classes. Dozens more failed the civil service exam, the background check, the oral interview, and/or were late. At the end they had 40 women to send to the 3-1/2 month FF 1 course. At the end of the class there were 2! After the 1-yr probationary period there was 1 operational firefighter, the other 1 failed to pass EMT-B, but since her uncle was a deputy chief she wasn't fired, they moved her into dispatch. The next year they allowed all 3500 who failed to test again, with the same results. There's a damned good reason sports organizations are segregated by sex!
This is actually Equity. Equality means every single person operates on the same baseline. Equity ensures those who are worse at something succeed at the cost of Meritocracy. To achieve equity is to remove equality. If I cant pass and they lower standards for me. That's equity. If I cant pass and they tell me to move along. That's equality.

I was an infantry soldier for 21 years. Woman are more than mentally tough enough for infantry or SF. But they are not strong enough physically. Let alone the difference in anatomy. I have SERVED with very fit very strong woman but they generally can’t take the heavy loads required. They have a bad time with their cycles and reproductive ability the fitter and stronger they get. Stop wanting the power of men, the entitlement of woman but not the responsibilities that comes with that equality. Be careful what you wish for you might get it.
Allie Ryan my point exactly. But I have served with woman in combat roles. They get messed up every time. The level of fitness required by a female to be in this role is higher than a male. They have to work twice as hard as we did. Only because our testosterone levels were high and our muscle mass then increases proportionally. It not a gender thing it’s a muscle mass thing. The facts don’t lie. If woman want to try then I’m all for it. But the values and effort must be the same. The female basic fitness test is much lower than a male in all armed forces and the police force. Just be absolutely clear. I have had very very competent female leaders in my life time. I currently have one right now. This IS not a gender thing. It’s about physical strength to be SF. Unfortunately facts don’t care about feelings.
I dunno. I think it depends on the women. There are some pretty hardcore dedicated women out there (think Olympic athletes). If any woman succeeds in the special forces, she's not an "average" woman. So we shouldn't look at the normal, average woman to consider as a template for SF.
You must overlook the importance of representation. I'm a feminist & no ones asking them to lower their standards for Seals. We just want women/poc/lgbt to be taken seriously in these positions without their identities coming in the way of that. If they don't meet the requirements, then they shouldn't be considered. @Pam Baker I'm all for fairness, but throughout my career and beyond I saw examples of people being placed in military jobs they couldn't do for various reasons, this can result in their death and the death of those they work with in combat in many cases. As far as I'm concerned there should be a PT standard that is MOS based, although everyone should be trained as infantry, something akin to the way Marines do it would be nice IMHO.
@Pam Baker "what if a female could accomplish the same end result...the same mission objective in a different way, without using the same tried and true SOF methods? Would that be valuable? Would you be open to considering that there might be a different way to do things?" When it comes to physicality, that's a mans job, ...we're talking about the best of the best, most men don't make the cut. Group dynamics, periods, and war rape......combat is not for women

The odds of you completing SEAL training are not favorable: 1 in 4. Each year, about 1,000 recruits make it to SEAL training. Some SEAL candidates choose to drop out of the program, and some are forced out. Candidates who fail to complete training are reclassified to other jobs in the Navy.

Always.

The USMC $36 Million dollar study on Female Infantry:
Within the research at the Infantry Training Battalion, females undergoing that entry-level training were injured at more than SIX-times the rate of their male counterparts
27% of female injuries were attributed to the task of movement under load, compared to 13% for their male counterparts, carrying a similar load.
During the GCEITF assessment, musculoskeletal injury rates were 40.5% for females, compared to 18.8% for males
All-male 0311 (rifleman) infantry squads had better accuracy compared to gender-integrated squads.
How dare you...

You are ignorant, I litterally saw it first handed that a woman could handle the tests where a lot of elite strenght and conditioning men failed. The woman was 1 of the 6 people that finished the test. You are somewhat playing victim here like people labeled your "facts" sexist.
Lowering standards for an elite team is kinda make them lose what made them elite in the first place.
Keep the standards the same, then if a woman wants to try, she’ll try
Yes
Bad idea. Because if a woman gets in, she will mess with the chemistry and men will act different around her. Men and women are different and we are not equal.

“Don’t change the program just to diversify the lineup”! Truth!
That sounds like something I can do with maybe a month of training.

Dean Munro unless there taking steroids your not going to have reproductive issues from getting in shape.
Dean Munro I’m not arguing about the fact men are more capable than women I’m saying that fitness wont mess with their reproductive abilities.
Allie Ryan no problems. I think I went too far with reproductive. Thanks for the feedback. Sorry if I offended in anyway.
I dunno. I think it depends on the women. There are some pretty hardcore dedicated women out there (think Olympic athletes). If any woman succeeds in the special forces, she's not an "average" woman. So we shouldn't look at the normal, average woman to consider as a template for SF.

Politicians in uniform and elected office are to blame for such things IMHO, as well as the death toll exacted in the name of supposed "fairness or diversity".
@Pam Baker I'm all for fairness, as long as everyone has to meet the the same standards for the job.
Would you be open to considering that there might be a different way to do things?"

Still a Comment section... 🙂
It’s the best part!
Some things/jobs (like being a SEAL) arent MEANT to be "diverse" because the bottom line is do the job quickly, efficiently and safely.
The fact that he said hes encountered badass women in the miltary and hes still never heard of a woman WANTING the job, says a lot.
1994 Kara Hultgreen was the first female F-14 Naval fighter pilot call sign REVLON. She killed while attempting a carrier landing. RIP Kara. Several fellow pilots officially said in their opinion she was "pushed along" in training in order to facilitate her being the first of her kind. Kind of a media blitz to bolster women in dangerous positions in the Navy. They slid her along and she paid the ultimate price. She was said to be a good pilot. However, in the real world "good" does not equate to carrier landings. Only excellent pilots are up for the rigors of carrier landings. Point here is dumbing down or pushing along only adds numbers on a tally sheet. Dumbing down does not maintain top notch operators in the field. She was a victim of the messed up adjenda of inclusion.
Instead of failing her like nearly a quarter of those that are accepted get, they watched her lag behind others and just watched to see how it would go. The video of the mistake is only a couple seconds long, for all anyone knows she could have been an excellent pilot, it doesn't really matter when people set you up for failure. What a waste of life, man.
‘There are some bad women in the military’. This line alone shows he has respect for women and no one should be offended.
There's no room for softness in SPARTA!!!!!!
Actually, women in Sparta were much more free than the rest of Greece, and were expected to train on a regular basis😋
LOL good one.
I lold
Lol
THIS. IS. SPARTA!!!
“Women are going to be uncomfortable”
Me a woman in the military: No I’m not. Facts are facts, and they don’t hurt my feelings.
Well you live the life so you don’t get offended. Civilians don’t understand how the military works, there’s no room for egos and easily hurt feelings in our lives.
@@wastedtalent1625
Really, is that a fact? No room for egos and easily hurt or offended feelings.
Ryan Ong on what grounds?
The top 1% of men only make it. There’s no physical possibility that a woman could do that. It is HIGHLY doubtful
@@mikexxxmilly
Most surveys and research put the top 10% of female recruits o par or below the bottom 10% of Male recruits.
"woman are just as capable..."
said the woman that wasn't as capable
Let's see you pass it, neckbeard.
@@zoilalulu3798 my mom was in the military, and was in no way interested in becoming a seal, but still one of the best (female) soldiers in training 🤔
@@zoilalulu3798 I mean, shit, you got really mad, really fast. How's about a "hi how are you", to start?
@@zoilalulu3798 I mean I marched with a broken arm for 3 months, and am going to enlist in the Airforce, but _i'm_ the "neckbeard" 😬
So I criticize people who we _openly_ incapable of being a US Navy Seal, and your best "comeback" (if you'd wanna call it that) is "nEcKBeArD"
@@zoilalulu3798 hes just stating the truth. I cant do that shit, and im willing to bet my life savings you cant too. Stop getting offended by everything you see. its hard i know but you gotta try lmao
