RP Finger Strengthening Technique for Closing BIG Grippers

  • This is a video explanation of a technique/exercise I came up with to specifically strengthen the ring/pinkie finger of your hands for helping in closing big grippers These 2 fingers limit your end range closing strength due to a bio-mechanical disadvantage. There's a mechanical advantage in the fact that the RP fingers have the most leverage on the gripper handle BUT the problem is that they are considerably weaker than the index/middle fingers. If you're stuck on the last little bit of end range on your goal gripper then this will remedy that problem. Be sure and experiment with the variables to see what works optimally for YOU with this technique. Thanks for watching!

Thanks Mighty Joe .. Absolutely educational and meticulously explained as it pertains to specific muscles and movements that play a big role in closing heavy grippers. I most definitely will be adding this to my gripper training program and will provide feedback as I progress. Like many who are involved with grip strength, especially heavy grippers, I realize the need to strengthen the ring and pinkie fingers and this method seems to be completely tailored for that purpose! I can't thank you enough for your contributions and willingness to share with like-minded enthusiasts .. Have a safe and enjoyable 4th of July weekend and thanks again Mighty Joe!

I know this is a old video but i have a question. My hands are 7.25 inches. Is that too small to be strong at these grippers? My goal is to parallel set a #3.
