Ive seen this car run. Everytime I see it I can't look away. Deep black paint job. Has 3 pedals ugh it's on my bucket list. Plus the classic look with the Cragers
The Nova from 68 to 74 weighs in at 2800 to 3000lb The 66 Chevelle weighs 3000lb I have both a Nova and 66 Chevelle SS I never did acquire a taste for Black Angus beef
Unable to comment significantly on this car but I would say, 66 Chevelle has the best body shape in US built cars, in my eyes. It looks as sharp as a fast-back, yet as elegant as a swan. A great harmony of mild and smooth lines creating a sports look.
I had a black 66 SS Chevelle with red interior back in the early seventies. It also had a L72 427 engine in it. I was top dog in our area for awhile street racing late at night on a quarter mile straightaway.
Chevrolet, best bodies , best engines, best cruising ever. Period! I use to have to dust the honeys off my nova just to get it back in the garage after Friday night! God bless the 70s 😎🍺
Beautiful car nice run too! What are you using for a 2 step? Ignore the negative comments, those are made by non car guys. THey will never work hard enough to have something as nice as yours. Do remember the et or mph?
I seem to remember that the 427 came out in 66 but I don't remember ever seeing a factory 427 in a Chevelle. I heard of a Chevelle that was supposedly special ordered with a 427 on one occasion but most guys did the same as me; found a wrecked Impala or Corvette and pulled the engine.. My old Camaro had a 69 model 390 h.p. 427 out of a Caprice. They were good engines and would really go if you worked on them a bit.
I don't think there was any claim that this was a factory production 427 Chevelle. Clearly a transplant. And I guarantee that wasn't muncie 4-spd, factory roll bar and suspension!
@@imtheonevanhalen1557 Not always....besides the fact autos in these are boring Had one in mine no matter what I did...was always yearning for a manual It would take one helll of a well setup auto st car to out launch me.
Wasnt the engines that were bad it was the owners most times Look at how todays musclecars are being driven. None will have original engines in 5- yrs if they havent been recylced into a tin can ev
I had one, 396 and switched to 427 out of a Vette! Do i ever miss that car!!!
66 was the best year for the Chevelle love that body style. 👍

I love all pre 68 Chevelle's but the 66is the best one
That Nova SS took him off the line and won in the 1/4 mile. Much respect to both beautiful cars.
A lot of people don’t know it, but that nova was the lightest production car made out of metal
The Nova from 68 to 74 weighs in at 2800 to 3000lb

Hell yeah ! Love me a good Chevelle run
Reminds me of a 64 Chevelle Malibu that I once had. Would love to have a mid 60s Chevelle or Nova.
Had a 66 ss 396 4spd Chevelle I think they are the best looking Chevelle ever make wish I had it back
@@user-rp2fj5ik2q Yeah, I would rather have a Chevelle.
bitter/sweet looking at these cars ....in the 70s you could buy one of these cars for a couple hundred bucks......
My buddy had that exact car 😎🤯
Aha!!, I loan my car to you so you could go to the store and this is what you do!😮, I thought my tires were worn more than usual!?😊😅😂❤❤

The 427 didn't come out till 1967 it couldn't have had 427 in it but it could had 396 by looks you can't tell the two apart

COPO could get you a 427 in a Camaro or a Chevelle. and the first 427 was in 63 with the 409.@@dougtinsley1320

BBC = Rod-Throwers! ...it's why FORD Big Blocks WON LeMans and Chevy's never did. HELL, my 428-SCJ even has LeMans capscrew rods!

Even a red light should give you an et on the board. That sucks

Looked like it showed ET and mph just couldnt see it clearly
