Guys just a note: this is the older version the neobiosmasta. The newer version is even easier to install! Please refer to www.neogeofanclub.com for more information on installing the newest version.
if you were to replace this version with a NeoBiosMasta VMC v2021, would you just need to desolver those two wires and plug the new version on without the need to solder anything? i have no problem with the soldering part but i dont know what the correct procedure is. the nbm 2021 or 3.5 appear to be plug and play, no mention of attaching the wires, just jumping or removing the old bios. so, to upgrade to the vmc edition, do you just remove the og bios and snap on the new version, or do those pins need to be attached to something?
@@mike7599 Hi Mike, I just wanted to say thanks for the video's and the tips and your reply :-) I currently have an OMVS consolized 1C with the NeoBiosMasta! Loving this system so much!
SNK MVS is a very nice motherboard. SNK engineers were perfectionists, and Razoola, the creator of UNIBIOS, kept this state of mind. Thank you Mike for continuing to keep these machines alive.
You are absolutely right! Razoola is a hero to the Neo Geo community. Also have to give some love to neoturfmasta the creator of the NeoBiosMasta. For such a small device I think it gets not enough praise for how genius it is!!
Thanks! Hope everything is going well with you bro. When do we get some new play throughs???? I know you must be playing something during this lockdown!
@@mike7599 Yea dude. I was working on a CPS2 project and also got myself a Naomi. I'm waiting for it to come in. I might do a CPS2 vid here soon and maybe something on the Naomi.
WOW! It is an amazing accomplishment seeing it's now easier to work on Mike. NeoTurfMasta does amazing work for the community and glad users like yourself can do so with ease. Nice work bro. Also thank you for sharing this on the Neo-Geo thread on Atariage.com for us to enjoy as well. Really great video for sure. 8^) Anthony..
Not too much. Just some bug fixes and the addition of the pick n mix feature for the 161 in 1 cart. You can read more about it here : unibios.free.fr/picknmix.html
Hopefully he will make his NeoBiosMasta for the NeoGeo CD again. I really need one of those. If anyone has one for sale, hit me up. I want to test my games I'm dev'ing on real hw.
Hey Ken. Yeah it wasn’t the prettiest job that’s for sure, but it worked. I should invest in one. But regardless, most people don’t have a hot air station laying around so I think it will at least help out a hobbyist like myself. Thanks for watching.

Do you have a video on that one by any chance?

Very helpful video! I have a 1C board coming my way and this bios mod will be one of the first things I’m going to do :-)
Check out NeoBiosMasta.com there is an even easier bios mod now.
@@mike7599 Thanks for your reply! I’m going to check that one out :-)

Yup it’s the 2.5. Love this supergun! Thanks for checking out the video.

@@mike7599 it's a bad practice and can pull traces, need to at least tell people that.
Just cutting the required pins and then soldering to those would've been easier and less destructive than what ended up happening in the video.
