    I particularly like the second and final photograph, especially the final. Those three distant ships on the horizon really make it for me as the icing on the cake.

    I was through Seaham in the rain the other day, photographing the glass pickers. Really enjoyed it except it stopped raining after a while.

    Well worth the effort.

    Adam, love the enthusiasm and the passion you have for landscape photography. Listening to your thoughts about the scene in front of you and the way you just stick it out, just moves me. Your presence on these videos is so raw and real, just love it. The images you made on this day were also outstanding. Cheers!

    Boy, that image at the end was something special. And you were right, the ships kinda do make the image - the story their presence promotes really adds a quality element to the shot.
    Great video as always Adam 👍

  • @johnpollock6996
    @johnpollock6996 ปีที่แล้ว

    That looked like great fun Adam. You appear to need a teenager with an umbrella as an assistant. I thought the last shot was the best. Did you experiment with longer exposures on that scene, and if so, were you able to make the ships elongate (and ghostify) as a result? I envy you your summer weather. We are up to here with no rain and heat, forecast for Fort Worth today (Thur) is >43C. Taking any pictures outdoors is a dreadful experience when the overnight lows are nearly 30C. I hope your drone survived the moisture. Cheers

    My photog friends and I have a saying we always use: You won’t know, if you don’t go, and I’ve always found these sorts of days challenging in a good way as they push us out-of-our-box and help to hone our composition skills. Just getting out there is half the battle regardless of the inclement weather. Thanks Adam!

    Great video, and great enthusiasm. I was anxious for your equipment. Would not a plastic bag (open ended) over the camera body and lens been useful.... Loved the results and inspired me to get out to the beach- despite winter here in NZ.

      As long as salt water doesn’t get in, it always seems to be fine. on this occasion the on/off switch stopped working and I had to take the battery out to turn it off. It’s fine now it’s dried out though.

    When you have very flat light and not much material to work with a Long Exposure can really give it a different look and it's really creative. Just a tip for everyone out there. Don't use cheap filters they are terrible with colour casting and you'll regret spending them get good filters like Lee or Nisi .... Thanks Adam I've also carried an umbrella a small one as well that can fit in the side of my backpack and if it's not windy you can get that out and put that over the top of the camera as well

    I'm quite familiar with this coastline, fortunately living not far away. I dabble occasionaly in long exposure photography and this video inspires me to get out there and try some of the compositional and technical techniques you explain. I must get some better wet weather gear though! Thanks!

    Great video as always, Adam. Just a question, do most landscape photographers have an aversion to an umbrella? They pop in your bag and weighs nothing and will solve a lot of problems. Just curious. 🙂

    • @Firstmanphotography
      @Firstmanphotography  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I dont think so. I know a few who use them. I just hate them, I always have done. I find them massively impractical, they're useless in the wind and most of all they look utterly stupid.......especially out in the landscape where I can just put my hood up.

    When I seen the thumbnail, I thought at first you were rocking a bit of Ben Horne. The one take away from this Adam, there are always images to be made and it all comes down to willingness to endure the prevailing conditions as your images perfectly demonstrated

    How well does your rainwear keep you dry when you are out in the pouring rain? Do you have any recommendations as far as rainwear goes? I could use something that is better than what I presently have.

    Hey mate.
    You have so many gorgeous images! I’ve just stumbled upon your channel again whilst researching printers.
    I’m thinking of purchasing my first photograph worthy printer, so am considering the Pixma Pro 200.
    Do you have any videos going through the process of printing? I want to learn about the software that you said you can run as a plug-in from within Lightroom, and also, after the prints, what do you do regarding mounts and frames etc?
    I’m only a hobby photographer. I do a lot of drone photos as well. Multiplier times I’ve had people ask about prints but I’ve never really done any so if you have any videos going through the whole process, from out shooting, to printing, to framing and putting on the wall that’d be some wicked viewing.
    As I mentioned, you have loads of lush images. Cheers bud. ;)
