      @@JohnsonMotorsports Thank you for responding. I don't have Ista. Crazy thing is that after I paid a tow truck the car started the next day. I am am reading 700 psi at the rail on idle. The LPFP is running strong. I am very confused now. I would like to get a good diagnostic but I am afraid to drive it and getting stocked again. Towing is expensive for this car. lol. I was thinking on changing the high pressure fuel sensor to see what happens. Thanks again.

    • @JohnsonMotorsports
      @JohnsonMotorsports  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Industrial_Mechanic Yeah, changing the hpfp sensor has helped some people with this issue. If I were you, I would check into downloading Ista, to run the fuel pump diagnostic. It may shed some light on the issue. Worst case, you can replace the lpfp for around $150 or less and prepare the car for E. If you have to replace the hpfp it will get pricey. Recently, I have started having an issue were my fuel pressure shown on the hpfp is considerably low on start up. It only happens after the car is warmed up and it's very sporadic. Funny thing is it is immediately fixed but shutting off the car and immediately restarting. I am planning to replace my hpfp sensor as well.

  • @ebayram
    @ebayram ปีที่แล้ว

    Very nice video. I didn't see the fuel level sensor attachment during the process and was wondering if the leveler is not attached to the pump assembly or the lid. I have this issue with my 2012 535i that right side fuel level sensor is kaput. From the "hidden" menu on the dash, the right side always reads the same resistance (50 ohms) no matter how full/empty the tank is. And the fuel level on the dash shows full once it is full but gets stuck at half tank and never moves below. I was planning to replace it with a new one from FCP Euro but kinda discouraged if its hidden somewhere hard to reach in the tank.
