      Only thing i do differently is use the center side kleet. Pull from the center of the bed not the rear. Pulls more before sliding and is easier on bed slides ect ect. Big heavy or deep. The back is ok too. For the light stuff

    After 4 1/2 years. That’s a 1st I seen someone do a winch out with out tilting the bed and using wood to protect the winch line. I never to old to learn something new in this field, good job and stay safe out their buddy.

      Many ways to do it, The one you just saw, The actual dedicated side pullers, The side puller attachment that goes in the center pocket at the edge of the bed and allows you to pull from there, And then there is one like ron pratt has where he made his own sheave unit to go into the rail pockets to take place of the wood seen here.
      Me personally, I love my dedicated side puller, saves me the hassle of all of the above and it will move a whole hell of a lot compared to the other options.

    What is the length of your winch cable? Is the winch remote a universal-fit attachment or must it be purchased with the winch itself?
    Can trucks/suv that have the tow hooks, on front bumper be winched from those?

    • @MercifulTowing
      @MercifulTowing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Welcome to the industry, thanks for watching the channel, Please subscribe if you havent already.
      To answer your questions, our trucks carry 100ft of winch line on the drum as well as carry an addition 100ft of synthetic rope in the toolbox.
      The winch remote you can order the kit from Zips or Lodar whatever brand you want and install it onto any bed. It actually has nothing to do with the winch it is just an air actuator that controls the lever on the bed when you hit the button. When we order our rollbacks new they come standard already installed.
      Yes, you can winch from the tow hooks on the front, just double check to make sure they are securely fastened. We train to find options other than use the screw in tow pins as we do not trust them.
