U can try putting a table tennis ball in the tank and arowana will try to look up and the eye will cure I try with my arowana before and it have a regular eye now

When adding fish that are prone to fighting try to add an odd number of fish, it lessens the chance of the fights getting bloody.

On the topic of drop eye, I had a silver that got it and my work switched me to night shift for 4 months. (I’m going somewhere with this, I promise!) so I covered the tank (120 tall) because it was in my room and I needed to sleep. So I hung a comforter from the canopy the whole 4 months so I couldn’t see in, and the fish couldn’t see out. After 4 months, his drop eye was COMPLETELY GONE!!!
I know drop eye is not too pinpointed on a cause but I think him not being able to look down helped a lot. Just an idea, maybe you can do something similar on a quarantine tank for the time being and see if it helps. But if looking down is truly a cause, I think it will help that your arowana is going from the top rack, to a giant tank on the floor.

I think the one in the bottom tank was the most beautiful of the three. That greenish color around the eyes is stunning (I'm colorblind, so I see it as greenish yellow)

Once again, excellent stocking choice. I love species only tanks, but don't mind a few groups of species mixed together, if the tank is large enough.

My son has genetic ptosis, a drooping of his right eyelid. Just throwing it out there that if you need a name for the drop eye arowana Emerson would mean a lot. But whatever you name him/her will rock in sure you get a ton of suggestions. Keep up the amazing work!!!

Just came across your videos.Absolutely loved it. nice to see that you'll be embarking on a new arowana comm tank. Congrats! Anyway, my take on the drop eye is 1.too much fatty food (mealworms and superworms esp) 2.reflection/movements below the tank(usually happens to more skittish arowanas). Tips for Identifying aros which are at higher risk of developing drop eyes are skittish arowanas. Applies to asians only though. How to cure them without going through surgery? House em in a fiberglass tank. Or have all sides of your glass covered up completely.(most of the time, it works)*the hint is that, you'll never find an asian aro with drop-eye in a mud or outdoor pond. Downside is, if the aro is timid and skittish, its eye will drop again once you place it back in a proper tank. (through my experience)
Well, regarding the "snakeskin" aro which you've purchased, that piece should be another variety of green arowana originating from 'nami lake' here in malaysia. You can google it. We call it nami green.hope you've got the authentic one ,as the adult snakeskin are superb looking arowanas.

Can you do an informational video all about Asian Arowana? Like, their history, how they're showfish and all the work that goes into showing, their legal status, just everything! They're interesting fish, and you are the guy I can trust to know what he's talking about with them.
drop eye in arowana occurs due to misuse of aquarium lights. arowana eyes fixed to a point below resulting in drop eye. treating it can be done with the surgical removal of fat above the eyes.
Art class: draw an animal that represents you, most people do a simple animal, I do an arowana
Design and technology class : create a biomimicry inspired lamo shade, most people do a bird or something cute, I do an arowana, sting ray and flowerhorn.
English: write a short story, most people doo one about there holidays, I do one on the ' Adventures of Frank and Buddy'

there is a Chinese restaurant in the town I live in here in the states that has a massive Asian Arowana. It's my favorite part of going there.

Your green arowana is called Nami Green, originated from Kedah State of Malaysia. You have hit the jackpot. It costs more than the red and gold arowana here in Malaysia. It has the 'batik' pattern on its gills and scales. Nice catch Joey!

Joey: usually we transfer arowana using a bigger plastic bag and not the fish net as it has a higher chance of damaging or injure them...🤗🤗🤗

Joey got such a good deal that the store couldn't afford the fish AND the labor of netting them. Gotta net and bag yourself at that price.
I actually read a really interesting book about a journalist who interviewed an animal control officer who told her about arowana. She became obsessed and she decided to describe the inscriptis fish. I’ll let you read the book to find out what happens, but it is captivating and I recommend it to everyone I meet!
