I am only racing mx5 right now, but I think I may want to do F1. What’s a good training path to get to the f1 cars?

there’s no f1 lobbies either w12 or w13 atm , not worth the purchase if you want to play online , but you can still having fun with bots though

Get to C class and then you can join the "Grand Prix Tour Series". It's an official series that follow the real world schedule. They just ran Long Beach this week since iRacing doesn't have Monaco yet. On race weeks you'll see races on Thursdays through Sundays. Once you make D License in open wheel, I recommend doing F4 until your C class and then you can join up in the GPTour. You can always buy the W13, join one of the Tour races when it's happening and race with everyone as a ghost car.
