Man I wish you came out with this a month ago😂 repainted my car and had some runs…got some blemishes afterwards trying to fix them, but hey mistakes create future perfections! Thanks for vid Mario!!
Great demo on removing runs Mario, I often have problems removing them as I seem to cut through the surrounding clear before the run is removed but what you did here should be a big help, thanks for sharing👌 I hope you and your family have a great Christmas and enjoy the holiday🎅👍John UK
I like to wrap my 800 on a small section of paint stick then wrap masking tape on each end for cutting a run down. The tape will keep the ends from digging and spreading the new scratches out further.
Had my clear run yesterday, sprayed first coat and let get tacky, applyed second coat but didnt let it tack, went wet on wet and weather being cold,Got me a run, fixed it tgis morning and happy I didnt have to repaint.
What is your take on the 3M purple bottle, I use it as an all around compound ? I know the finer grit paper makes for polishing goes quicker but 2500 or the fine merca pads is what I use, but to be completely honest with you I don't do much wet sanding and polishing unless the customer ask for it to be car show quality.
@@mariopaintclass6091 just put the wole thing in bondo. very thin. (let the high run eara come threu.) so wenn you block it out , you can clearly see the run dissapear. start with 1000 wet paper. use a hard block. finisch it of with 2500/3000 wet. then polisch

I don't know the level or quality of clear you sprayed but I started using a higher grade of clearcoat to eliminate runs to get a glass finish
@@rongamble9884 the better the clear the less work 👍 I used the U-tech it’s an economical clear😃
@mariopaintclass6091 I've been using the Sherwin Williams ultra line clear CC200 an CC950 but there not cheap
@ very expensive I know
I have discovered though it still saves me money on the paint correction end of it

@@danamcintyre3565 the 3M purple bottle is great to use . It works best when refine up to 5k or 8k sand paper
Could’ve flatted back and reapplied clear again right?

bro, no tape. just put the whole thing in filler. its much more effecient. and it protects the suroundings better. tape will rip en is just shit....
