I love the analogy between goku and saitama with fighting, as compared to us with manga/anime. Its great but theres more to life than just fighting/anime.

This Manga is billion times better than that of Etoilecs portrayal of Saitama. His animation is great but how he illuminated Saitama is disgusting. I didn’t feel Saitama in his version of Saitama.
It started off well written, but I guess with the massive amount of Gokutards in the comment section made the story drift away. Also Saitama by that time haven't shown dimensional feats yet making Etoilecs representation of Saitama's power/feat irrelevant
He kinda just threw Saitama to the side in his animations too, like it's called Goku and Saitama but it's pretty much Goku 80% of the animation and 20% of Saitama barely appearing and doing anything...then getting disrespected like when he fought hulk

I am super grateful for all the Goku and Saitama content we have gotten over the years, I'd love to see a OPM x Dragonball Super crossover game / manga / movie for real. There is so much potential in this combination. This manga was amazing, the guy really understood the characters and King turning up at the end to put the omni kings in their place was pure comedy gold.

My friend, that is not the Sol System, that is the galaxy which the Sol system calls home. Our solar system(Sol is official name of the name of our home star, the sun) is basically an incomprehensibly small speck in that image. That is the Milky Way Galaxy That is genuinely power we have NEVER seen Goku display, or anyone in the DragonBall universe for that matter. Off into space? Sure. But out of the galaxy, and so far you can see the entirety of it? No. I'm not sure even Beerus has that kind of strength, to punt Goku that far from earth is a feat beyond anything we've seen in DragonBall.

When Frieza blew up planet Vegeta Bardock confronted him in space and even spoke, and when fighting Beerus in God form Red Goku was able to speak and remain in space for a time. Toriyama was notorious for forgetting standards he set in previous arcs and episodes/chapters. Basically the whole breathing in space thing is kinda hard to say because with Saiyans it depends on whos writing the story, what is convenient to the plot and if the writer remembers past similar incidents. For Saitama the question is kinda moot because, as usual, he's Saitama. He can probably hold his breath for a millenia, he needs air(as far as I know) but can probably subsist on basically none for an absurd amount of time. I love both characters but Saitama is made to be so powerful he's broken while Goku has very real limits that he is always pushing and thats what his story is always about which puts them on opposite ends of the spectrum. Imagine if Beerus saw Goku punt someone so hard off the planet that they flew outside of the Milkyway Galaxy. Whis would be making retirement jokes for days. That kind of power in the DragonBall universe would cleave through Friezas toughest forms like 1 ply toilet paper, he wouldn't even leave orbit, he'd just vaporize on impact.
This is what a lot of us Fans of both Series Dragon Ball and OPM has been telling everyone. There's just no comparison between these two, one is UNFAIR (Saitama), the other one is FAIR (Goku) Hilariously, if the Writer didn't give the Ability to Survive Outer Space to Goku, the fight wouldn't have extended after Goku kicked Saitama out of the Galaxy Hahaha
That was the best work about they fighting I ever found, everybody put both of them at the same level, but no doubt Saitama would need to hold back to fight Goku tops level, he could show that without showing how much stronger is Saitama and even left a little suspense that maybe they are at the same level. I don't get while people try downgrading feats in other mangas just to make theirs better (not talking about this artist, but about toxic db fans), the zero punch was said to "go back in time", what's too much to understand there, if goku changes to ui, mui, tui and is even fast enough to dodge the punch it's useless, knowing saitama doesn't just throw a punch, but goes back in time (when goku is in base or even a baby theoretically) and punch him, which means goku even changing into ui,mui or tui would be useless

They always buff Goku that Saitama was being hurt by Goku they always Nerf Saitama. It doesn't make sense at all. Even MUI Goku can't hurt Saitama that is the reality in the manga and Saitama can't hit Goku while MUI form. However, the MUI form will last for continuous fighting. Goku is not infinite while Saitama is Infinite that is the logic.
Two incoherences of that fan-manga: One is Goku fighting in the space when he can't breath, the usual errors of DB fans for create a fight. And second is Goku avoid the Zero Punch or avoid the reversal of casualty, that isn't canon of the Goku habilities if he can avoid the reversal casualty well he can avoid easily the attacks of Gas, Freezer and Beerus, thing didn't happen

The art is insanely spot-on - and the fight is done well because it lets Saitama be the ridiculous, intentionally broken gag manga character that he is without making Goku look weak - Saitama gets some satisfaction out of it, so does Goku, and even though neither was able to go as far with it as they had wanted, they each got something out of it. The ONE thing missing is that it forgets that Goku HIMSElf is at his core a gag character who HAS broken the fourth wall before (e.g. kicking a character and breaking the manga panel) - they could have played into that fact a tiny bit, but it's fine the way it is since he's MOSTLY played straight with gags being quite rare for him while Saitama is literally PURELY a gag character who was NEVER meant to be taken seriously. Saitama is a character who could, if the writer called for it, fart and destroy 10,000 universes - because it's all a joke - Goku CAN be used as a gag character IF written that way and it isn't that weird because he's DONE it way back in the original DB manga - so you could have him do absurd feats like that too - BUT Toriyama tended to constrain Goku intentionally because the entire THING with his character is to face truly strong opponents and, no matter HOW strong they are, he finds a way to shatter his previous limits and beat them if that arc calls for it. Saitama is PRE-maxed out - he's already at levels so stupid he's bored by life - and that's the entire thing with HIM - Saitama IS an exploration of "what if someone like Goku trained SO much that they got TOO strong to find a challenge anymore - how can you still have a fun story with that?" - the ANSWER, of course, is by having that be the JOKE - have OTHER characters who would be insanely strong in most other anime/manga facing villiains who overpower them, and Saitama just casually explodes them with a punch and they don't even KNOW how strong he is - nor does he care if they do. IF Saitama and Goku fought, the outcome would HAVE to be like this because Goku knows no limits and will always rise to match and surpass ANY opponent - and Saitama is basically infinitely strong - so Goku would be infinitely getting stronger to keep up while Saitama was infinitely kicking it up a notch again and again. The fight, then, could effectively go on forever ESPECIALLY if Goku is dead and fighting in his spiritual body - which has no restrictions on it - he doesn't need to eat or breath in space when dead yet can still fight. Every time Saitama overpowered him, he'd keep coming back stronger. It'd be a pointless fight - an unstoppable force against an immovable object, PARTICULARLY if Toyotaro (or Toriyama when he was still with us) had ever decided to DO a gag arc with Goku (and an episode of Super IS purely a gag one, mainly for the robot girl, but even Vegeta participates in a gag to knock her head off and RECOGNIZES her as a gag character, proving that all dragonball characters ARE capable of slipping into gag mode). Anyway, it's well done.
The funny thing is even if Saitama travel back to past he will end up in a parallel universe where Goku was normal with base form or whatsoever. Because in reality we can't go back to our own universe's past but past of a parallel universe. So even if Saitama defeat base normal Goku that's not the exact Goku he was fighting.

Basically the whole breathing in space thing is kinda hard to say because with Saiyans it depends on whos writing the story, what is convenient to the plot and if the writer remembers past similar incidents. For Saitama the question is kinda moot because, as usual, he's Saitama. He can probably hold his breath for a millenia, he needs air(as far as I know) but can probably subsist on basically none for an absurd amount of time.
I love both characters but Saitama is made to be so powerful he's broken while Goku has very real limits that he is always pushing and thats what his story is always about which puts them on opposite ends of the spectrum.
Imagine if Beerus saw Goku punt someone so hard off the planet that they flew outside of the Milkyway Galaxy. Whis would be making retirement jokes for days. That kind of power in the DragonBall universe would cleave through Friezas toughest forms like 1 ply toilet paper, he wouldn't even leave orbit, he'd just vaporize on impact.

I don't get while people try downgrading feats in other mangas just to make theirs better (not talking about this artist, but about toxic db fans), the zero punch was said to "go back in time", what's too much to understand there, if goku changes to ui, mui, tui and is even fast enough to dodge the punch it's useless, knowing saitama doesn't just throw a punch, but goes back in time (when goku is in base or even a baby theoretically) and punch him, which means goku even changing into ui,mui or tui would be useless

DB fans highball their characters based on statements from the source material, while OPM fans make up headcannons in a desperate attempt to do so. Whis clearly stated in chapter 14 of the DBS manga that he didn't reverse time, he reset it, and that's why he could only you as far back as 3 minutes, and he couldn't use it for a long time after that because it would disrupt the time axis.

I always wonder why the fan-made video between Goku and Saitama. They always buff Goku that Saitama was being hurt by Goku they always Nerf Saitama. It doesn't make sense at all. The art is insanely spot-on - and the fight is done well because it lets Saitama be the ridiculous, intentionally broken gag manga character that he is without making Goku look weak - Saitama gets some satisfaction out of it, so does Goku, and even though neither was able to go as far with it as they had wanted, they each got something out of it. The ONE thing missing is that it forgets that Goku HIMSElf is at his core a gag character who HAS broken the fourth wall before (e.g. kicking a character and breaking the manga panel) - they could have played into that fact a tiny bit, but it's fine the way it is since he's MOSTLY played straight with gags being quite rare for him while Saitama is literally PURELY a gag character who was NEVER meant to be taken seriously. Saitama is a character who could, if the writer called for it, fart and destroy 10,000 universes - because it's all a joke - Goku CAN be used as a gag character IF written that way and it isn't that weird because he's DONE it way back in the original DB manga - so you could have him do absurd feats like that too - BUT Toriyama tended to constrain Goku intentionally because the entire THING with his character is to face truly strong opponents and, no matter HOW strong they are, he finds a way to shatter his previous limits and beat them if that arc calls for it. Saitama is PRE-maxed out - he's already at levels so stupid he's bored by life - and that's the entire thing with HIM - Saitama IS an exploration of "what if someone like Goku trained SO much that they got TOO strong to find a challenge anymore - how can you still have a fun story with that?" - the ANSWER, of course, is by having that be the JOKE - have OTHER characters who would be insanely strong in most other anime/manga facing villiains who overpower them, and Saitama just casually explodes them with a punch and they don't even KNOW how strong he is - nor does he care if they do. IF Saitama and Goku fought, the outcome would HAVE to be like this because Goku knows no limits and will always rise to match and surpass ANY opponent - and Saitama is basically infinitely strong - so Goku would be infinitely getting stronger to keep up while Saitama was infinitely kicking it up a notch again and again. The fight, then, could effectively go on forever ESPECIALLY if Goku is dead and fighting in his spiritual body - which has no restrictions on it - he doesn't need to eat or breath in space when dead yet can still fight. Every time Saitama overpowered him, he'd keep coming back stronger. It'd be a pointless fight - an unstoppable force against an immovable object, PARTICULARLY if Toyotaro (or Toriyama when he was still with us) had ever decided to DO a gag arc with Goku (and an episode of Super IS purely a gag one, mainly for the robot girl, but even Vegeta participates in a gag to knock her head off and RECOGNIZES her as a gag character, proving that all dragonball characters ARE capable of slipping into gag mode).
Anyway, it's well done.
