They could have easily gone there themselves and done a live stream and debunked the whole launch and catch but they choose to do it from twitter instead.       Exactly. And how incompetent they are can be seen by the massive data leak of flatearth dave's app -.- They have absolutely no authentication to retrieve all the user records from the server and on top of that all the user passwords are returned in plain text as well... I think yesterday they removed that particular API endpoint, but 2 days ago I got back over 24k+ user records including their email address, password and lat/lon position. A single API call that returned 22MB of json. Even 30 years ago this was unacceptable. Today we have quite strict regulations how to handle personal data. You never store a password in the clear and every API endpoint should be protected and only return necessary information.
      They project their incompetence onto others, it's really funny.

    you can literally see the couple darker pixels where the booster is on the phone, slightly out of focus and compression makes it hard to notice but in a few frames you can clearly see the booster on the phone LMAO these people are insane

      As someone who never leaves her house, I assure you that we're more than capable of learning the true nature of things even from here. All the more-so thanks to the efforts of Dave and countless others showing actual PROOF for these concepts, instead of the name-calling and "because-I-said-so"ing of the majority of Flat Earth channels.
      Anyone can get tangled up in misinformation if they're not careful. It takes painfully little to start slipping down that slide. What you need is a mind that isn't afraid to ask "was I wrong about this?", and that can put effort into answering that question, in order to ensure that when the misinformation comes your way (which it always will), you can spot it and remove it before it begins to twist your entire worldview.

    I watched that video LIVE as the rocket ascended, and I could see where I parked my CAR that morning at the launch control complex FROM THE CAMERA ON THE ROCKET.
    So, the 3D modelers KNEW WHERE TO PUT MY CAR IN ADVANCE?
    If they think that the Stardust Launch was "CGI" I invite the reader to go watch the STATE OF THE ART in 3D Rendering in 1999: TOY STORY 2!!

      No, watch the video. The screen shows the edge of the cloud the rocket passes by. Dave's explanation is right. The rocket is just too small to be visible with this setup.

    I watched man land on the moon, I was 6, and it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I watched the the first shuttle launch. I could go on about watching the launches of the pioneer probes and voyager. I have taught my daughter about space, she loves it. We watched this the other day, and it was amazing. Then comes this crap, CGI this CGI that. Every time I hear this crap, I think of the line from Ripley in Aliens "have IQ dropped since I have been away". Sorry for the rant.

    Ironically, I can actually see the rocket on that person's phone with 2x readers on and my face about a foot from the screen, when the booster lights. Does it ever occur to them that all they have to do (to prove it's CGI) is drive or fly there and watch the next launch.
