    A lovely flavourful dish.. A signature dish of palakkad brahmins. Puli kuthi upperi.. Is so called because 'kuthi' means to pour. I remember my grandparents used this term 'kuthi', they also belong to chathapuram. Probably a modified version is 'oothu' which also means to pour.
    So here puli kuthi upperi literally translates as upperi made my pouring puli.

    I. Made this p.k. Upperi very easy to make. I roasted chembu & added vazhakkai alongwith puli water & added p.k powder. It came out excellent. Followed ur video that was very useful🙏

    Pulikkuthi upperi is not only the combination to molagoottal but also for a simple rasam.We can also make with plain vazhakkai ,suppose we have shortage of other vegetables. 👍

    Santhanam and Priya : to be frank I have never heard of this dish. Vendakai is one of my favourite vegetables. When it is not the liked by lady in the house in many forms ( other than in fried and in thayir pachadi )alas it is made very often at home. Vedakai meyukuvarati is what I grew up having in my childhood. The wet and sticky texture is hated by not everyone’s preference. This blend of raw banana, tamarind and rice powder definitely will take away the sticky feel. I am quite tempted to experiment this. Oru naadan adipoli recipe. Looking forward to the next one...

    Sir suggest you show the ingredients required with quantity. Give options of vegetables to be included. Then the procedure of preparation. You may give some tips also which can be followed.
    I make it once a week.

    For powder I add in Mustard also. Vegetables I use Chembi, Mathan also.
    Firstly I put Chembi, Raw Plantain, Mathan at last Bhendi. Rest all same. For powder mustard is ok or not.
