I want to throw a comment in here and clear a few things up. With this being my passion and loving the job I have, my reputation means everything to me. I’m as open and honest as I possibly can be with everyone. I relay what I’m told, just as I’m told. The car originally had many blankets, the present cover and then a large painters mat wrapped around it. Before filming the PO threw out the covers, cleaned out around the car and appears to have wiped it down. You’ll notice how nasty the car is under the bumpers and on the front valence. If you look closely you can also see wipe marks on the windows and body panels. It can be deceiving for sure, even for me. Until we pull the car out on its 30+ year old tires and not a single wheel rolls free. In fact pulling it on the trailer, they were so locked down that it bogged out my 9500 winch and ripped the treads clean off some of the tires. Not to mention the fact the engine bay looks like heck and the engine was stuck. This one looks a bit too good to be true but there’s a specific reason/reasons. We’ve rescued hundreds of cars. As I lay under the little mustang cleaning up crusty parts, I feel confident with the timeline I was told. I hope this comment helps some to understand where I’m coming from. Thank you for those that have tagged along and enjoy what we have to share. I hope you all are having a great week.
I feel like most subscribers aren’t doubting you fellas! I really like that mustang, used to have a 1970 200 I6 medium lime metallic back in the day! Keep up the awesome content!
No need to for the disclaimer Michael, it's obvious you're a good, solid human! You'll be even more solid if you sell me that 911 one day though. Just sayin ;)
Yeah! This car is awesome! So original even with all the documents! Please restore it fully and make it look and drive like brand new! It would sell incredibly good and give so much to the classic car community.
The value isn't there to do a full restore on a 6 cylinder coupe. The only way that makes sense is if you have a emotional attachment to the car or just plan to keep it a long time and don't care about losing money. For someone that's just flipping cars, a full restore cost more then the cars is worth.
@@simoneuler7073 That car is in good enough shape to just clean it up, do the mechanicals repairs needed to make it safe and just drive and enjoy it. There's not really any need to try and make it show room new condition. For someone to do that, it would have to be a labor of love. And he doesn't even like Mustangs.
Yes it is an awesome car! Nice interior too with the bucket seats, center console and sport guages, it just needs the factory wood type sport steering wheel, with the 3 chrome spokes and the round holes in them, and you got one of my favorite 60's interiors.✌

Those ford 6. Cylinders are almost indestructible. Enjoyed this start. Sitting so long the pressure plate might be rusted. No a big problem. Might as well do a new clutch and throw out bearing. Redo brakes you got a running driving car. Thank you for sharing!
Miss my 65 coupe, settling on my dads 69 Fastback (awesome car) which is minutes away from a frame off restomod, but the 65 coupe with a 289 and 4 speed top loader was my first mustang and for my twenties my daily driver. Was the car I started dating my future wife in. I think I’m gonna cry. Bless u saving another.
Great job on getting this gem running. Grandpa had a 65 that was his "work truck" for selling/delivering eggs. I used to ride with him on his delivery route. He was in and out of the trunk so much that he left the trunk key in the lock. Wore the chrome and all the raised mustang emblems off the key. When the family parted with the car, no one could remove the trunk key. My dad currently has a 66 convertible w/289, blue w/white top.

My Dad sold those new. The first Mustang in my home town 64 1/2 was his demo. It lasted a week before it was sold. it went like that for all of 65-66 they couldn't stock them fast enough. The majority of those were optioned just as you see that one. Inline 6 3 spd manual. A lot of memories there.

Love your videos! I've got to be one of those people and comment. After messing with all kinds of cars (a lot of Fords) for 50+ years, I have NEVER had one of the Ford style starter relays bad. It seems every utube (not just yours) I watch they all are bad (also never I've never had a bad ignition coil unless damaged, leaking or crushed). Cleaning out my Dad's old shop I have found 5 or 10 of these relays taken off scraped cars and none of them have tested bad. They all will pull 200 + amps. Keep the videos coming.
I helped a guy rebuild his 64 1/2 mustang,it was in mint condition and he put on a offenhouser intake/exhaust w headers and duals, sounded awesome w glasspacks, after a few years he sold it
I'm a VW guy but that is a cool car and in GREAT condition! Love the fact that it is a manual trans. I am guessing a 3 speed(typed this before watching to the end)?? Will you reveal the asking price?
It’s in surprisingly nice condition for sure! The car was wrapped up with blankets, this cover and another on top of that before we got to filming(owner removed and threw away). No biggie but we missed the opportunity to really reveal her, kept her in great shape though! Sure we will let everyone know what we’ll be asking, if we decide to let it go 🙂

that is a Sports Sprint package. The side scoop moldings are factory delete, there is a narrow pinstripe around the scoop that runs to the front, upper and lower. Chrome air cleaner. Console. The wire wheel covers in the trunk were part of the package too. 200ci 6 was the only engine on them.

Another brilliant piece with a great story. The paperwork is just worth so much. originality is everything. I do hope you keep it as near 'as found' as you can while making it roadworthy. Keep the dints and chips as they are part of its story. And get White Wall tyres. '60s Fords HAD to have White Walls!
I’ve got one of these. 66 Mustang 200 inline 6 with manual 3 speed. Mine is a Sprint model which this one looks to be as well. Mine even came with a stuck motor too.
Two hundred add a cam and pop up pistons. Grind and polish head. Eight fifty holly carb/double pumper. Change transmission oil . Replace throw out bearing , also put a heavy duty clutch and pressure plate. Change out rear end to a 4-11 positive duel rear third member. I did a 66 two door Comet six cylinder engine build with the six cylinder block. With hood off high nines with hood on low tens.
My wife had a 65 Mustang when we got married, with (by the factory decal on the air cleaner housing) a 200 cid Sprint 6. It was a pretty little coupe with the Mustang spinner hubcaps. It was not quick by any measure.
I really like your videos. It's really nice to see you're getting more confident on the camera, and you explain stuff really well. Keep on the good work.
I have a 66 convertible I restored. I’m the 2nd owner. I even have the factory keys like you. She was a factory order. Highland green with 3 speed manual. There’s a certain satisfaction when your done. Is yours an automatic? Sweet car man. I love old Fords!
You were adding in new spark plug cables to 1967 Mustang inline 6 engine. It improve more power than the old and worn out plug cables for sure in most newer cars.
She have my dream interior exterior combo , plus it's a 3 speed manual transmisson & 6 on line ^^ ! In my country it's manageable unlike a V8, we pay fuel by the liter and not by gallon lol. If in addition she has 4 drum brakes , that's my total dream ... But it's a 66 model ; finally a detail =)

Thank you! You hit the nail on the head with all of that! 😃
@@BudgetBuildz Most welcome!
What a beautiful car and find!!
Thanks!
I love this one I have a 65 fairlane same color and kinda story I got window sticker and everything. My great grandfather bought it new.
Hello barátom ez a mustang egy idő kapszula csodálatos autó és mindegyik az amit az USA-ban gyártottak üdvözlet 👍🤝🍻 Jancsi
Hi, I think it's a Sprint 200, has the wire wheelcovers and the console and I believe I saw the sticker on the aircleaner.
I believe you’re correct! It has everything that signifies it being a Sprint 200!
What is the significance of being a sprint i love mustangs.does that make it a rarer car?snooky pa.🤟💥👍
@@allensnook7760 it has a few items as standard. Wire wheelcovers, striping, console and chrome aircleaner
Looking forward to seeing another less indulgent restoration of yet another classic car.Exciting guys.
Can’t wait to share! We’ve got some crazy stuff once this and the 911 are wrapped up!
Love Mustangs, glad you got a nice one!
Thanks! 😃
Such a great episode. I really enjoy the enthusiasm in your guys voice!
Thanks so much! Really glad you enjoyed! We really had a fun time with this one!
My wife had a 65 Mustang when we got married, with (by the factory decal on the air cleaner housing) a 200 cid Sprint 6. It was a pretty little coupe with the Mustang spinner hubcaps. It was not quick by any measure.
Beautiful car, and in surprisingly good condition.
Thank you! It surprised me for sure!
Will make a nice little cruiser 👍👍👍
I really like your videos. It's really nice to see you're getting more confident on the camera, and you explain stuff really well. Keep on the good work.
I’m really glad you’re enjoying! Thanks so much for the kind comments!
Nice find! I'd give this little Mustang a home up here in the Great White North. Looking forward to the next installment of this feature.
This is one sweet little car.
I have a 66 convertible I restored. I’m the 2nd owner. I even have the factory keys like you. She was a factory order. Highland green with 3 speed manual. There’s a certain satisfaction when your done. Is yours an automatic? Sweet car man. I love old Fords!
Super cool! I bet that’s a beauty! This one is a 3 speed manual as well. Thanks! We do too 😃
Awesome find, great video 😎😎😎 you have the best dad 🤩 Looking forward to a new Porsche video.
great video, close to my heart as the owner of a '66 mustang. LOVE the shirt, lol
Thanks so much! Very nice 🙂🙂 Haha thanks! 😅
Man i cant wait for this mustang project!!!!!
Can’t wait to share more!!
What a good looking survivor 👍
Look forward to seeing it rolling down the highway 😎🇺🇸
At Kerry Pierre... FRENCH? Just like The Bauchman Turner Overdrive song from 1974. Rolling Down The Hyway..
Thanks! Can’t wait to!
@@tonyfriend7413 yep... Cajun French, Irish and Native 👍🇺🇸
You were adding in new spark plug cables to 1967 Mustang inline 6 engine. It improve more power than the old and worn out plug cables for sure in most newer cars.
Sweet find mate 😀 Hopefully the damp hasn't made the underside and unpainted areas too crispy. Will be a neat little whip once roadworthy again 👍
Great man! A legend is living again!
Thanks!!
Love these old mustangs wish I could find one like this for my wife …
