Be sure you want to do it is all I can recommend. It’s definitely not for everyone and doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll help you find a job in the future. But you still learn a lot from it so as I’ve said it rlly depends on the person.
I don't think art schools are good for artists who do it for passion. I actually regret choosing arts as my specialization in high school. It made me feel like doing art is an obligation. After graduating, I got sick of painting. I just couldn't pick up my brushes anymore. It makes me sad that I used to call myself an artist but I just can't do it anymore no matter how proud I still am for my past artworks. I wish some kind of deity would bless me with some inspiration.
Meira Shoshi begin to make a habit of associating art making with something fun and relaxing like listening to your favorite music while you draw or doodling for meditation. Also get rid of some monotonous steps by setting up your supplies ahead of time, that way you can sit and start creating when you’re ready! I’m in the same boat but we’re gonna get through it!
thank god someone said that! because it truly is, i felt the same while choosing art class over music class in school but then i was able to change that and chose music instead. Best choice if you want to be creative, i feel like school art classes takes away the creativeness that comes with art itself
THIS. THIS RIGHT HERE. I "majored" in art starting in 6th grade when i was ELEVEN years old. Continued that through high school and was pushed by teachers and family to study studio/fine arts in college and now as much as i love looking at others create art, I do not have a single inspired bone in my body. I graduate college 2 years ago and rarely follow through with anything i make. I also have not worked in the art field at all.
I think it depends on the art school and what tutors you have. I'm studying fine art at a well known art school in the UK and I'm loving it. We are given tasks to do for different modules, however, they allow us to insert our own style. Some people produce some amazingly abstract stuff and the tutor in a way criticises it only on the level of their style and skill ability. I've never had any tutor tell me the work I produce is wrong, only how it could be improved, and even then its optional wether or not you follow through on their advice.
i drew a picture i was really proud of, took me quite a few lessons, and i was exhausted by the end, but it was good, and i was happy with it. then my teacher comes round and all he can say is “that’s too small”
Same my sis drew a very detailed sketch of @ stuff animal placed on the front table as told and when she finished they told her to redo it cause apparently it was "too big"
I'm in art school and I accidentally chose one of the hardest projects so I was halfway through and struggling and my teacher was like "I'm proud of you for chosing this project most student don't cause it's rlly hard" and I was just like *what*
I’ve done this multiple times without knowing how difficult it will be but then my professors tell me the same thing yours told you and I start to feel much better about it and more proud even if it wasn’t my best work.
i’m having flashbacks of when i finished an oil painting on a 24x36 canvas within a few days. it was worth it though because i had a perfect score. anyways, i hate people who underestimate art students because “all they do is draw” like holy shit just shut up.
As a young artist I’m low key high key quite *scared* for my future rn. Edit: Okay so for anyone reading this, don’t feel discouraged, There are plenty of jobs out there for artists. More than you could count; art school just seems hard that’s all. (I.e graphic design for companies, animators for cartoon industries, animation for the real estate industry, logo designers, web page designers, etc.)
I went to an Art based school (I majored in fashion) and omg the art students looked so drained and always complained about the cost of supplies, dealines and lack of creativity
Relatable, my art school had the most hours compared to the other schools in the city so we were all drained from morning to night, also staying awake for hours to finish art assignment PLUS studying all the other necessary subjects ugh
As a senior in art school my biggest piece of advice is to manage your time better. Don’t wait til the night before to do your assignments. Use your school’s studies throughout the week instead of constantly going out. This is the advice I wish someone had give me my freshman year. Work hard and play less and it’ll be so much less stress
I totally agree. Also it could be that there is just so much work you don't know what to do. I know that people want to socialise, and you can within reason, but going out all week then leaving all your work for the last minute is not good. I don't think this is a healthy representation of what you have to do during your time at uni, to basically get no sleep and work yourself to the ground. Also you won't enjoy your time at uni what-so-ever, you will just remember being exhausted and not having any energy to do anything else I guess alot of it is finding the right balance.
YEAH I KNOW! these comments are so mean and disrespectful. I’m a young artist and I love art and I like to express my feelings into art. These people don’t make me scared because I know that I want to go to art school, but I’m scared for some people that they’re going to quit doing what they love because of these people.
HamburgerWithSoup they aren’t disrespectful they were like you passionate about art but they changed cause of art school the teachers make them stressed cause of they’re work they think its not good enough when you go to art school you’re self you will see that but do what you want I guess
I have advice on naps and it’s worked for me in my experience with somewhat all-nighters and just being tired during the day in general (found it on pinterest) 10-20 minute naps: best for an energy boost 30 minute naps: WORST for an energy boost (really difficult to wake up from) 1 hour naps: best for fact, face and name recognition 90 minute naps: best to wake up from and have boosted creativity and emotional/procedural memory :)
yea because of rem sleep and shit. sleep is confusing lol 15 mins are the best bc u dont yeet urself into deep sleep just yet i took this like 10 min nap or something and i felt so much better since i only got like 2 hours of sleep the night before. naps can do wonders
Her in college “some kale thingy and a smoothy” Me in college “Hey mom thanks for the noodle cup, I’m eating a whole half of it tonight with my roommates soda from the gas station!!”
So short story, I entered design school 4 years ago now, still having my last year to do until I'm done with my master degree, And daaaamn, the first year was *EXCLUSIVELY dedicated to arts and perspective* subject. I left a bit of me this year, and never getting it back. *I wasn't sleeping, wasn't eating, wasn't having any time to breath out of the school.* Keep up the good work I feel ya girl
So we were drawing a comic with ink. My friend did really good, so the teacher wanted to show her work as an example for the next step (coloring and shading). So he took the biggest brush he found and started painting with it on her painting. My friend was just staying quiet but you could see she just wanted to scream. The rest of the class was gasping, including me, but somehow the teacher didn’t notice us (probably because he was so pRoUd of what he had done). Press F to help my friend recover from the trauma. 💀💀💀
I pull all nighters all the time, and a week ago, I had just stopped a cycle of continuous all nighters for like two weeks and it feels weird lol. After some time, you just get used to them and they stop being bothersome but that doesn't make them any less unhealthy
The reason why art school is not fun because YOU ARE JUDGED and MARKED on the work you produce in a small amount of time. I went to uni and studies media and design, and not once did I felt "fun" when doing my design assignments
Take time to do your work the week before. When you get an assignment write the due date 3 days prior to when it's due. It gives you grace time to get it done and take you time. It's worth it. Your marks will be so much better! Honesty I'm in art school and I get the work load is crazy and my class mates think I'm crazy when I start and finish my protect a week before the due date but when I finished I can look over and add DETAILS while my class mates are rushing to finish pieces of work they are not proud of. Take my advice when I say you'll feel better, happier and my proud of your work if you start SOONER
@@franco6006 maybe if you can convince your self that this new due date, while not made by a professor and made by your self, is made so your work can be better and also in art school it give you time to get opinions and tips from others on how to make it even better, so don't think of it as a "new due date" but just a new and better way to get the best work you have
Sassy Snake it’s not that easy to just get up and do it. Maybe for you, but some people procrastinate because they are scared of failure. I understand the way to get over it is to do it but you need more motivation
@@bonemeat3917 of course not a single solution will work for every one. It's a tip not a cure. We are all different. I'm not trying to suggest that I have some type of holy wisdom
All these people saying her lisp is cute makes me feel better since I have a lisp similar to hers that I just can’t get to to away, I had other ones but fixed them all..anyways keep on working hard! Good luck
I love doing art as a hobby but I would never go to an art school because I stress easily and it causes me to lose my passion for art. I had a life sized canvas commission to do over the summer and that's when I realized that I definitely couldn't do art full time.
I feeel man i went to art school and i got so depressed cause i was so drained. I can't do art full time. I never was able to draw on my own time full time so like why did i go to art school. I dropped out during the second term cause my mental health was getting bad. I left when there was only a month to go, but i just couldnt do it anymore. Rip me
I got my degree and I'm so burnt out. To be honest it was never really fun to begin with but it was the only thing I was good at and my parents made me go to college. I successfully turned my hobby into something I constantly stress about. I always think I should make something new(but I'm too tired) and my parents nag about getting into more shows. Shows stress me out cause I have to pretend I care about all these other artists. And when I do make things and try to sell them people love them... but think they're too expensive. So I have to undersell everything. I can make more reliable money by working my retail job.
kyisblue Same here. Deadlines stress me out and drawing is one of my ways to de-stress. I wouldn't want the fun of drawing ruined by deadlines and responsibilities
all those all nighters 😭😭 2 of my friends are in art school and i would see them pull all nighters almost every day to finish their projects in time and not sleeping for a few days. one of them would always say "there's no point in sleeping if it's 5am and you have a morning class."
AngelicQueen ok i mightve exaggerated about e v e r y d a y but theyre big perfectionists. i dont think they procrastinated for all of those projects because they were being done throughout the day for several days. the one who wouldnt sleep was because she missed classes if she slept so she developed a habit of staying up (and i really wanted her to sleep more :( ) they dont pull all nighters anymore tho so i guess they learned after last year? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This sums up why it's so difficult to make a living selling original art starting out. Average person has no concept how much time it all takes, let alone how much work it is even with "talent and passion". You just have to need to do it so much that you won't quit. I dud art before college and I'll do it till I die
I physically cannot pull an all nighter. Even if my life depended on it. Like when you said it was almost 5:00 am I literally screamed Edit: omfg I spoke too soon. Your girls gonna have to *try* to pull an all nighter tonite because I left all my school shit to the last minute. Pray for me
Omg that’s been me recently! I used to do it all the time on my first years of college but for some reason now I literally just quit and go to sleep lmfaoo I wish I had more will power bc I actually have soooo much to do and staying up would help tons lmfao
@@who9142 I used to do it all the time in college but these days I only ever stay up till morning if im binge watching a good thriller/drama series lool
please never let anyone tell you your lisp is 'annoying' or sth bc it makes you unique and i personally find it super cute. you are truly so beautiful and talented and i want u to know that i appreciate you.
In fact, learning to draw requires repetitive copying other arts / objects to make able to create original arts cause you need to know how it all drawn
Well I'm attending Ringling College of Art and Design. This is my first year. I will say I'm slightly bored rn because everything we're doing is basically art foundation, which I already took in highschool. I can't wait to move on and work on my on personal pieces for grades again. I'm excited to keep going though because of all the job opportunities we have offered here like Disney and Pixar, Hasbros, Blizzard, etc.
You can be as weird as you want, and be supported, as long as you’re nice. You meet some great people, even if it’s stressful. You learn a lot about yourself.
I started going to SAIC after taking a couple years off post-high school. I never get more than four hours of sleep, I’m so incredibly overwhelmed by the workload, have had plenty of days where I’m really struggling for inspiration, I have no money ever, and nobody takes my education seriously. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’m always surrounded by extremely talented people, my ideas around art are constantly being challenged, I’m always trying new things, the connections I’ve been able to make and the resources available to me are incredible, and I’ve grown so much as an artist and a person because of it. If you know you want to pursue art as your career I recommend at least spending some time at an art school.
watching this as an art student is so relatable. I know exactly how you feel pulling all nighters. it's rough out here, (especially when you work full time as well)
I'm not in art school but it was my dream when i was younger, I'm studying an engineer but I think I would prefer to stress out with art than with numbers lmao
Stressing out over stuff you genuinely enjoy, like art, will always be better than stressing out over numbers. But this depends on the person. Stress is still stress, but for some reason it's better when you enjoy what you're doing
Rachel E. Yepp true. I initially wanted to go to art school bit my family is kinda poor. So I had to just forced myself to get into subjects i dont like. So I can qjickly get a stable job amd support my family. I would much rather prefer stressing over art than stressing over numbers as well ugh
@@nishatlala3990 I hope things change for the better for you :) remember, you don't need to go to art school and you never know where life may take you
I'm having flashbacks to the dorms when I first started my degree... nobody thinks art school is hard. They don't understand that each project and homework assignment takes like 6 hours to do. lol I realized pretty early on that I couldn't take three studio classes all at once.
I'm on art school right now, you know what? Our tasks is too many and make me feel tired as ffck, so i think make sure if you really need to study on art school, cuz we will so busy and work so hard especially for think an idea for our art or design
Buy a compass for circles. Pick one concrete style work on it 20 mins a day and you'll look like you can draw pretty well in majority of people's eyes. By one concrete style I don't mean realistic portraits with architecture in background, that'd probably take a couple of months to master.
Aku Jo that is a very rude thing to say. Lisp is something that she can't control and you should not make fun/or bully someone bc of it. Also if you didn't like the video just stop watching it instead of writing a comment like this.
@@anisad4426 I didn't bully/make fun of anyone. Last time i checked i was allowed to dislike stuff and have opinions. I only said that i didn't find it cute, i found it annoying. There's nothing wrong with having a lisp, but i don't have to like it.
fellow art student here and this is SOOO TRUUUE! I'm taking an Animation course and we have to switch mediums A LOT OF TIMES in just one year. I do art (I’m at a school in the UK tho and this is nothing like how my life is lmao) but it’s fun, it’s stressful and I actually find that the more challenging the more I love it. I’m at DJCAD in Scotland, it’s the only one left in Scotland that does a General Foundation first year (where we try all the different specialisms we want to, before we chose for second year). It’s been a month and honestly it’s just amazing. You just have to manage your time and work accordingly, I’m a huge procrastinator but we only get a tiny amount of time to do a project (2 week blocks) so you just gotta DO. I lost my interest at high school, went to college to do art, got into uni to do art and love it so much more now than ever. I stopped drawing for myself, for pleasure at one point but now I am and I’m so stoked about it. If you love it, you’ll keep at it and learn as you do. 💖 💖
I wish you luck, art school literally killed my love for art I flunked out because it was to stressful and no one ever thought my art was good enough. Definitely a hard path!
I’m in my second quarter of my first year in art school . The assignments really push you . I made a couple friends , so far this year is going great :)
In my country, everyone is forced to take art classes since 1st grade. Also, I don’t know if other countries do this but in my country, your projects are ALL ART! I hated it. I then moved to a new country and studied there for 3 years. I found some art online and I was OBSESSED! I started to do art. I’m now back in the country. I still hate doing art for school because idk. I just do but I don’t entirely hate art anymore. (I used to loathe it😂) Also, to give you an example on how ridiculous our projects are. We once had a project which was not art(like, visual). We were instructed to write a song. I was happy because songwriting is kind of my thing. Here ‘s where everything goes wrong. We were going to write a song... About gorillas.
My mom want want me to become a doctor but after she saw my sketchbook, she ask me " Do you want to go to art university??....well I don't know what I want to say after she asked that question 😂😂 Btw your was so beautiful 😍😍
@@batsarerad7262 late but practice art as much as you can and learn from other youtubers around here. get good grades and become involved in extracurriculars, then say "adios amigos!" and pick up your bags. if you dont want to go to an art school, that's fine too. just keep drawing/painting/crafting and you will develop the skills you need for the future :)
I think that art schools just make you lose your motivation, Im attending an art school right now but the classes are for free and during weekends or some week days. I never really enjoyed my classes and I dont know if its bc it wasnt the media that I wanted or just because the teacher didntt really care about your work. Now it makes me thing that art is a hobby but not a career, but I also want it as a career but I know it will be tough because everybody is so judgemental, art teachers criticizes for your well being and for improving but in my world they bring me down and make me want to quit. I wish the art community was better understanding that we all have different ways of art ans that its not easy 😔💔
ahh i think it all depends on your school.. my art school was actually pretty fun and decent! Because I do semi-realism/realism, and so do my classmates sometimes we like to prank our teacher with fake items and such 😂😂 our teacher is okay with it as well and goes along too, buttttt... I'm no longer there since i had to move back.. 😢 if you're wondering where it is it's in china! c: I forgot what it's called though 😖 and to relief your concern that was two years ago.. but i do plan on going back after this pandemic 😅😅
AH- wait i know what school it is in china but i oo forgot :( but still what was it like? :U also becuase the art classes in china look really nice ngl and also I hope im not rude but do you also learn chinese painting :O cause i alwas awanted to learn that
Man.. I'm in arts to at college and just doing your projects is tough. I have ADD and depression, (not a good combo) and it's literally hard to do my work. No matter what I do. I make myself schedules, reminders, I always try to remind myself that if I don't keep up my work, I'll fail and won't get to uni. Anything to try to make me work but nothing works. it always ends up me doing shit last minute and it's horrible and you feel horrible and I don't know about you but I'm always like *Man, why I do this to myself.* I'm pretty sure there's plenty of peeps that'll give you advice on how to keep up with good work ethic. I wish the best of luc for ya in Art School
What has helped me with that recently is working on putting less pressure on getting it done because when I make it a huge important thing it ends up making me anxious and I procrastinate but if I just take a moment to relax and just focus on doing a small part of it I usually calm down and start doing what I need to do even if it’s just a little bit of it
Hi []_[] Omg I applied for that place they are so picky I really wanted to go their but I got accepted to Fordham Highschool of the arts on Fordham in the Bronx ;-; let me be honest though my schools art is actually better than the one in Manhattan as they don’t ask for too much nor too little
Rosëy OH MY GOD SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME- Legit the exact same thing. I applied for LaGuardia. art and design, and fordham but Fordham accepted me. Still kinda bummed but I’m still greatful I got into it. So um I might see you this year- If you wanna get in contact hit me up ❤️❤️
i. love. your. videos. so. fricken. much. even with no sleep you still create such beautiful pieces.. it's very impressive lol (but please look after yourself more!!)
you captured the feelings of staying up until 8am to complete artwork really well. I love art school but ive died more times than I ever thought I would . .
I feel you, i used to be an architecture student, and i thought that it will be fun, but, reality was passion is not enough, although u have skills but u need to be unique so the lecturer would noticed you, and the background, of course, if ur parents are architect, designer that would be bonus for you to be in the spotlight, and one more, if ur pretty, then ur pass like 50% of ur marks :). That is the reality in the architecture that i used to live in. But i am a quiter, and i currently pursuing in engineering because i love structure and not everything about archy is disaster to me.
Idk in which country you studied but this doesn't equal to architecture school here in Germany where I'm studying. You gotta love and work very hard but it's definetly possible if you set your priorities
I went to art school for only one year and totally gave up and became a STEM major lmao. I congratulate all of you for having the guts to stay in art school even though it's killing you
I honestly would die to live your life at least for university. I always wanted to go to a art school but in my country there not that many art schools and they are mostly really expensive. Going to a school in America is also really expensive and I can't afford them. But just imagining doing art improving and being surrounded by people that love art is really beautiful going out with your friends till 2 am being free and creative. I don't know I really think it is amazing and all of you who are able to go to a art school should be greatful. If you feel down remember that you are living in somebody else's dream. Lmao that sounded cheesy but yeah
Omg my life right now lol I've been dying to go to fashion school but there is no fashion school in my country and going abroad is something I cannot afford :(
I definitely don't want ruin the vision you have (because it's very real in some cases!) but a lot of art school is high stress, intense work with little socializing. Plus it's so incredibly expensive. It's not as simple as being free and creative and there's a lot of angry, lonely nights that come with it especially when you don't have the luxury of time and money. You can still live your dream and meet great people through other schools/online!
There really is no cutoff age for getting into an art school, you know. I started at 30, and someone else at my school started when she was 70. I actually think I appreciated it more being older. It was much less stressful in certain ways.
please read the description :-)

It happens and it called burn out. Doing art professionally is though. I hope u find a way back. What about doing some doodles?

@Julia Collins *oh no*
As a senior in art school my biggest piece of advice is to manage your time better. Don’t wait til the night before to do your assignments. Use your school’s studies throughout the week instead of constantly going out. This is the advice I wish someone had give me my freshman year. Work hard and play less and it’ll be so much less stress
I can't agree more.
It’s common sense yet people still don’t do what’s best for them

10-20 minute naps: best for an energy boost
30 minute naps: WORST for an energy boost (really difficult to wake up from)
1 hour naps: best for fact, face and name recognition
90 minute naps: best to wake up from and have boosted creativity and emotional/procedural memory

The reason why art school is not fun because YOU ARE JUDGED and MARKED on the work you produce in a small amount of time. I went to uni and studies media and design, and not once did I felt "fun" when doing my design assignments
this made me tired just watching it! your observational drawings are SO good btw! x
It doesn't work cause i KNOW i wrote the date early so I'll be like "oh yeah i still got time
That's a great idea! Thanks!
@@franco6006 maybe if you can convince your self that this new due date, while not made by a professor and made by your self, is made so your work can be better and also in art school it give you time to get opinions and tips from others on how to make it even better, so don't think of it as a "new due date" but just a new and better way to get the best work you have

Rip me
@@seth6011 I'm really happy that you decided to quit though. It's important to know your boundaries and no school is worth risking your mental health!
I wouldn't want the fun of drawing ruined by deadlines and responsibilities
all those all nighters 😭😭 2 of my friends are in art school and i would see them pull all nighters almost every day to finish their projects in time and not sleeping for a few days. one of them would always say "there's no point in sleeping if it's 5am and you have a morning class."
jihae lee well shouldn’t they like do their art work before the dead line like not procrastinate?
AngelicQueen ok i mightve exaggerated about e v e r y d a y but theyre big perfectionists. i dont think they procrastinated for all of those projects because they were being done throughout the day for several days. the one who wouldnt sleep was because she missed classes if she slept so she developed a habit of staying up (and i really wanted her to sleep more :( ) they dont pull all nighters anymore tho so i guess they learned after last year? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Natalie Suchite art takes forever. Even if you didn’t procrastinate, you do all nighters. I spent 15 hours on 1/4 of a final in a class lol.
This sums up why it's so difficult to make a living selling original art starting out. Average person has no concept how much time it all takes, let alone how much work it is even with "talent and passion". You just have to need to do it so much that you won't quit.

Your lisp is adorable. If someone makes you feel bad about it eff them

Girl in architecture classes, we had your same drawings. That"s insane I LOVE THAT
I think that art schools just make you lose your motivation, Im attending an art school right now but the classes are for free and during weekends or some week days.
if you're wondering where it is it's in china! c: I forgot what it's called though 😖
and to relief your concern that was two years ago.. but i do plan on going back after this pandemic 😅😅
thank you so much for giving me hope but im scared...
AH- wait i know what school it is in china but i oo forgot :( but still what was it like? :U also becuase the art classes in china look really nice ngl
and also I hope im not rude but do you also learn chinese painting :O cause i alwas awanted to learn that
Everybody low-key knows that art school is a place for night owls and they are hellish but we still go there anyway to torture ourselves 😔
The pull an all nighter and then not waking up for class because I'm a procrastinator is so me xD
Anything to try to make me work but nothing works. it always ends up me doing shit last minute and it's horrible and you feel horrible and I don't know about you but I'm always like *Man, why I do this to myself.*
I'm pretty sure there's plenty of peeps that'll give you advice on how to keep up with good work ethic. I wish the best of luc for ya in Art School
What has helped me with that recently is working on putting less pressure on getting it done because when I make it a huge important thing it ends up making me anxious and I procrastinate but if I just take a moment to relax and just focus on doing a small part of it I usually calm down and start doing what I need to do even if it’s just a little bit of it
@@gunsoup9530 im 12 and I have ADD also
I just got accepted into the high school of art and design in manhattan and y'all please in the comments sttooppp😤😤
Hi []_[] Omg I applied for that place they are so picky I really wanted to go their but I got accepted to Fordham Highschool of the arts on Fordham in the Bronx ;-; let me be honest though my schools art is actually better than the one in Manhattan as they don’t ask for too much nor too little
yo I want an update
Hey do you like it?? I want go to art school too but too afraid
Me too. I'm really scared of going, with all the comments
Rosëy OH MY GOD SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME- Legit the exact same thing. I applied for LaGuardia. art and design, and fordham but Fordham accepted me. Still kinda bummed but I’m still greatful I got into it. So um I might see you this year- If you wanna get in contact hit me up ❤️❤️
Basicly you made me wanna go to art school. It seems A M A Z I N G.
i. love. your. videos. so. fricken. much.
even with no sleep you still create such beautiful pieces.. it's very impressive lol (but please look after yourself more!!)
I just want to send love to all the art students out there,
YOU GOT THIS !! 🖤🖤
you captured the feelings of staying up until 8am to complete artwork really well.
@@MrChairSaysThanks for sharing but i once liked arts, but still archy is just awesome, yet dont wanna get through that anymore :))
I love your lisp😭💞
Omg your lisp is soooooo cute also keep on working hard
Her lisp is frickin adoraabblllleeeee
@@melb1417 aww thank you so much
Omg my life right now lol I've been dying to go to fashion school but there is no fashion school in my country and going abroad is something I cannot afford :(
I definitely don't want ruin the vision you have (because it's very real in some cases!) but a lot of art school is high stress, intense work with little socializing.
It was much less stressful in certain ways.
in my coutry, there's only 1 art school and it's 2k per month
