My apologies for the sound quality, we are continually upgrading our equipment and that brought us undone on this one with user error of that new equipment.
We will get back to see Steve when he has something in colour.

I was brought up in XR & XW station wagons, got my liscence driving the XW at 15yrs old. Thanks guys, great Sunday morning viewing such laid back pros giving good tips. Im out to get one of those splines as Im trying to get the bodywork staight on my VE Val after cutting out a shitload of rust. Everytime I think I have it blocked back perfect, I come back another day in different light to see it is nowhere near good enough!

Howard these Extra episodes your doing are getting better and better , really enjoy seeing you get out and see some other great craftsmen and the projects they are into . We never stop learning , and seeing other peoples methods and tricks of the trade can be quite interesting as this was , great stuff 👍

An excellent video for the concourse people would be to have a walk through with guys like Steve and point out the various "over spray" spots to illustrate the way they came from factory. Go around the car and point out all the various aspects of making a factory restoration. That would be something special.
Not sure that they would be prepared to give away all their secrets

Hey guys another great video!! Can you please tell me what microphones and filming equipment you guys are using please? Keep up the good work!
We have just moved up to a Sony ZV-E10 camera from the GoPro 9 black, the microphones are Rode M3 for fixed mount like Trophy Hunter, Rode wireless GO11 for clip on and Rode Video GO for directional on camera mount.
The Cruz restorations was off the camera microphone as we had the hookup incorrect.
Got that sorted now.

Hi Howard, your video work is going well, I see you have a little microphone but the sound is a bit iffy somehow, maybe a lapel setup for each person could work well or dump the audio tracks into a audio editor like audacity and boost it and tweak it a bit then wack it back in the video editor.
Yes mate unfortunately we had a new camera and the audio was only being picked up by the camera. All the other 🎤 were not working. A lesson learned the hard way. We managed to just salvage what we had. Never ending learning curve.
Hey do you reckon you could an episode on hiding the wiring? I can't find any info on it and I'm truly enthralled by cars which the only wires visible in the engine bay are the spark plug wires!

Yes, but in Australia you need a donor car for compliance plates for registration and in some states that’s still not allowed. It would be deemed to be a new vehicle and would need to comply with all current ADR’s

Yes mate I know, it’s noted in the description. We are continually upgrading but still learning and therefore mistakes happen. We we running off the camera mic not the wireless.
