Because of your video I decided on this property vs the holiday inn resort. Yes it is a venture to get from the east coast US but so worth the trip. We returned last week and had a blast. We will be returning in the future!
The resort was not at full capacity I was told and it absolutely did not feel crowded. There were a lot of people at the cocktail party but I never felt that the resort was overcrowded. It was almost a perfect balance of enough people to feel that the resort wasn't dead but not so many that it felt crowded. I did hear that during ultra-peak season it can feel more crowded and the pool chairs fill up. When are you looking to go?
Hello! Thank you for your amazing video and channel, my wife and I love your content! - We're thinking about making a points booking and we have a couple questions for you: I know this was a points booking, can you confirm what room type you booked? (Do you think it would be worth it to upgrade a points booking to one with a pool?) How were the mosquitos there? Were they bad at night in and around the OWV? How about around the restaurants? (We did six senses koh yao noi Thailand and LOVED it, but the mosquitos were absolutely insane once the sun began to set.)
@@TheTravelLane it is, we first went in 2012 and it was a lot different to what it now…but have a family now so it’s again a different experience and name my daughter after the Atoll
Sadly not, virtually every resort in The Maldives charges extremely expensive prices for the transfers. There are plenty of hotels that even charge more than Six Senses
I used a variety of cards/points currencies to get to the Maldives but for the hotel specifically we used the IHG Premier Card’s 4th points night free benefit and 300,000 IHG points each

I think that is an excellent decision! If going all the way from the US I would definitely not recommend staying at a Holiday Inn. It is such a far journey that it is absolutely worth it to splurge on the best of the best. Six Senses Laamu is certainly the best of the best.
I went there on my honeymoon. Would borderline get divorced and remarried to go again.
100% would be worth it 🤣

Hey was it crowded when you went? It looks like there are a lot of other people when you went to the management cocktail drinks!

Great idea!
I am not sure if I will do a video or a write up on it but I will definitely do a full breakdown

Thank you! Hopefully this video performs well!
My favorite place 4ever😍😍🥰
Awesome
Thank you!
So many representatives it is awesome to see the human touch at the airport. At least it seems in the U.S. that there is the push for automation.
I agree! The service is really what set Six Senses apart from any other resort I've visited
Perfect
My favorite place EVER🥲🥲🥲
Since you tried them all what was the best flavor? 😋🍨
How many villas did that first restaurant in the video serve?
There are 97 villas at Six Senses Laamu and I believe breakfast is free for all guests
Wait, don’t drink and vegan ?
Couldn’t do it.
But looks awesome.
750 per person?!!! Any way around this?
Own the boat yourself

@@TheTravelLane thanks for sharing. That makes sense. Did you say 300,000 points for the property itself?
@@NathanBrennan Yeah! It was a total of 300,000 points each for both my Player 2 and I for a total of 600,000 IHG points for the 8 night stay.
@@TheTravelLaneIt's 600,000 points for 4 nights now. Has the price doubled?
Wait it’s not all inclusive ?
WTF ?
