DPS singer first chorus, Dany second chorus, Pau 3rd chorus and all 3 final chorus and Ale back up vocals. Happy B Day Ale ( 20 yrs old finally). Good reaction
I’d edit this to say the DPS singer sings the 1st verse, Dany the second verse with Ale (and/or Pau) harmonizing with Dany toward the end of that verse, then Pau coming in for the next chorus and subsequently leading the third verse, then everyone in coming together in the later chorus(es). My understanding is that all the instrumentation, and probably DPS’s vocals, are from DPS’s original version of the song, and The Warning’s vocals are what’s new. But don’t quote me on that. Regardless, it sounds fantastic!
The connection between the bands is 2) they sort of met at Berklee College of Music in 2015, 3) Anton Delost did their most recent albums for both and introduced their latest album to TW while they were in the studio, 4) they played ShipRocked last year and a couple of festivals and at one Pau joined them on stage to do this song.
So, Jack Underkofler is DPS vocalist. Has a fantastic voice which is very similar to both Dany's and Pau's, so this is quite confusing. Jack sings the first verse then Dany sinds the second with Pau jpining for harmonies. Then it's mostly Pau and Jack then everybody. I believe Ale is included too!
Many of us at TWA have started to keep an eye on DPS. Pau already recommended them in the second interview with Alison Hagendorf and it's easy to see why. The song is quite similar to the original, but Dany and Pau's voices give it that special touch that makes it even better. Fucking banger, for sure.
Such a great song from Dead Poets, made all the better by the addition of The Warning! Dead Poets Society invited any/or all of The Warning to join them for this song at a festival they were both appearing at not too long ago, and Pau got on stage with them and sang vocals (there's video out there) - apparently this song/band is a Pau favourite! So, the studio version with them all was almost inevitable.
Definitely banger of a song. After hearing Pau sing it live at Aftershock 2024 with DPS, I added it to my Warning playlist even though it's not a Warning song. Now with this version, it's on the correct playlist ! Their vocal talent is top notch. 🤟🎤🎸🥁🎸🎤🤟
A year ago Pau mentioned them in an interview, 11 months ago Pau posted herself rocking out at their show on her birthday, this summer Pau performed the song with DPS at a festival, now Pau is on the song. Manifesting destiny from the beginning.
I think this all came about because Pau really like the song. Loved the song! Then DPS just happened to be playing at the same venue as DPS and they invited her (or did she invite herself!) to appear on syage with them. There are a few videos out there of the result of that! It all worked a treat, so this collab was born!
DPS sent a message to Ale to see if one of the sisters wanted to join them on the song at Aftershock. Pau jumped at the chance. DPS and The Warning were on Ship Rocked at the same time and Pau has expressed how much she liked this song. I don't know if there is an official video or behind the scenes of this but there is a fan made version on Juan's Jukebox that makes it a little easier to follow who is singing when.
2 Add, DPS saw Pau rocking out to their show @ shiprocked on her birthday insta post. They reached out to Ale about TW joining them during the festival. Pau did and killed it. Then the idea for this collab was born.
DPS is described as "djent pop" on their Wikipedia page, and I dig that description. They have the same kind of pop sensibilities in their melody writing and song structure that I love in The Warning, mixed with heavy, chuggy, chunky guitar riffs, and it's just such a vibe.
Dead Poet Society release an awesome album this year called "FISSION". I suggest you try this, starting by Running In Circles or How Could I love You. But the whole album is amazing!
Anton produced for both bands on their recent albums; so all the girls needed to do is sing all the parts and he could plug them into the original master. Pau is a big fan of DPS and sang on stage with them at Aftershock.😉
You should check out some of the phone shot vids of Pau onstage with them doing this song. Paulina strutting her five foot nothing stuff up there is worth the price of admission!

Happy Birthday Ale!!!!!🤟🏼❤️🔥🤟🏼🇺🇸🇵🇷
Yes, Happy BD, Ale.
DPS is doing a couple of shows in Mexico in Jan, so I'm hoping TW joins them on stage to do this at at least one of the shows.

Dany's vocal fry at the end of words gives her away.

Pau joined them on a live preformance of this so would guess Pau is in it and Maybe Dany and Ale did some parts but not sure
There are two fancam videos of Pau joining DPS on stage at Aftershock last month.
1st female voice: Dany
