    That pond will be a great addition to you property Darrin. The kidney shape is much more aesthetically pleasing than a plain circle. Your big saw was really getting the job done!

      That 592XP is a beast. In big wood you don't even realize the weight of the saw. I am really shocked how much more powerful it is than the 70cc class.

    The pond looks great and filling up fast. I really like the contour around the tree 👌🏻 The bags worked out nicely for drying that Birch quick

      Brandon, those bags seem to be worth the money. I am torn at times between them and the IBC totes The totes are easier to move but the time saved in just throwing wood in the bag is really worthwhile.

    The pond is coming along nicely that truck time adds up quickly😂.. I’m curious myself how well that 90 holds up I’m sure it will work for a while ..I don’t have much experience with flexseal ! Time will tell

    • @woodruffwoods
      @woodruffwoods  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It sure does! I have my doubts about that 90 as well. I don't understand why they wouldn't make it to fit a seal like the ends of the pipe connect together.

    Nice video. He’s doing a great job with the pond. Can’t wait for the meter review. You’re going to have no issues mowing that slope. You’re going to like the larger overflow pipe. Won’t block with leaves and grass easily.

    • @woodruffwoods

      My biggest concern is the connection leaking. With all the stuff we put on it, we should be ok but time will tell.

    Darrin, do they use a rubber liner under the clay. Is that TopTes combustion meter used for gas leaks ? Can this be use for other things dealing with gas. I would Love to have this, when I start my gas furnace in the winter time, it would be great to have this to smell gas if there was a leak. Good Luck to everyone that comments. Great looking Pond build. I can see Lovely Lisa out in her row boat fishing. Be Safe. That TopTes moisture meter does work Great, glad I have it.

    • @woodruffwoods
      @woodruffwoods  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The pond is just clay with no liner. This blue clay that we have in this area makes pond building very easy. The combustible gas meter is for gas leaks. I plan on showing it in the next video and who knows maybe lady luck will strike twice for you!

    We sure could make use of the gas leak detector though. With a gas stove in the kitchen, leaks are always a conern.

    Hey, Darrin. The pond looks great. When the grass is in, it's going to look natural. As for the fish, I'd go trout or perch if you want to fish them. If not, then Catfish and Koi.
    Gold fish, too. The trout and carp will eat everything.

    • @woodruffwoods
      @woodruffwoods  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Since I filmed this, I found a site that offers how to stock a pond by its size. I know I would like perch just because they are so good to eat. I have heard that unless your pond is over 20 acres you shouldn't introduce crappie. For trout I have to check the water temp in the summer. They are finnicky fish when it comes to temp.

    • @woodruffwoods

      Indeed we are nearly neighbors. From what I understand, you do not need a permit if your pond is less than an acre and is under 10 feet deep. (One person told me 15 feet deep but I do not know if that is true).

    Pond is looking nice! My wife wants me to build a(nother) pond on our property, but I'm just not sure I'm interested....we have a couple options where we know of springs/seasonal creek to feed it, just not sure I want to put another one in where it's going to be mostly wooded and will likely fill up with debris. Our very small pond close to our cabin is already a bit of a chore to keep clean.

    • @woodruffwoods
