I picked up Witchfire yesterday via Steam and I’m hooked. It’s quite awesome for an early access. I’m trying to understand Arcana better and currently see it as the Roguelite element in the game by selecting buffs that can help me within a run. But, I was confused when you mentioned that some folks like to use more Arcana. How would they do that if you can only select one after killing a group? But then, I noticed that you like to kill several groups before selecting any Arcana buffs. I don’t have to option to re-roll Arcana as of yet but I can use feathers to unlock Arcana. Will they unlock permanently or are does that only apply to the current run? Lastly, in the current version I play, there is an additional Arcana column on the left. I was able to slot an Arcana modifier “Prophecy of Firearms” stating that it grants Arcana tied to weapons. So, I’m wondering if I selected a spell buff but unlock a weapon buff, will I receive both? Wondering if you know.
You can reroll ARCANA... IF you have enough feathers to do so...the current run is erased after you go back to the Hermitorium..You will EARN a whole new set of Arcana PER run.. The column on the left is for PROPHECIES..they are acquired in the Tower map after completeling combat tasks and searching for them.. For example...If you selected Firearms prophecy, that particular arcana ROLL will be tied to Firearms only.. YOU WILL Receive FIREARMS related arcana only.. I hope this helped, and GOOD LUCK!! TY for the question..
@@antiherogamerflunk9931 Haha yea, that’s probably why I was confused at first. Though, I have been choosing Arcana while receiving them. Then I saw you not selecting Arcanas until you had a row of 3 at least. I don’t know if there was a point to that? You had also mentioned that some players opted for more Arcana. I didn’t understand that part. Wouldn’t you want to start selecting buffs as you’re exploring?
