Hi, Stevie. I had stage 4 non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma too 1 year ago. Seven hard chemo sessions later, some days with strong nausea and fingertips feeling numb and I totally cured and feeling great. Stay strong and you will be better soon. Don't worry about being bald right now. Just use a hat to prevent sunburns. Best wishes for you and keep doing your astonishing work.
That's my diagnosis as well. Thanks for the tips. I'm halfway through my treatments (3 of 6). It sucks but so far it's been manageable. Congrats on getting through it and glad you're cured!
As a bald guy (just general male pattern baldness) I second the suggestion to wear a hat. Way too many guys just walking around frying their bare brain cage.
When I was 13 years old I had non Hodgkin's lymphoma large cell stage 3 or as we call it b cell and I'm 30 years old now .I got a lot of health problems due to it but thank God I'm still alive . But I don't got a immune system I get this fake immune system called ivig I've been getting it since I was 13 years old I got nerve damage from chemo.

Looking good, Steve. Keep working through your treatments, we are rooting for you! This HDMI work is my worst nightmare, that I fix something 99% but it’s one minor detail that prevents it from working.
Nothing is easy today. One day something works, the other don't. I mean even in this video, the disc drive is bricked because "it wasnt turned off properly" and you have to "register" your drive to unlock it's function ... F=k that! The ssd drive is not broken, it performs a check for errors. Windows also does this sometimes. And having the option to pair the drive online is much much better than not having that option. I bought a broken Xbox Series X with an HDMI issue, fixed it only to find out that the disc drive was not original as it threw an error during software update. A log file on the ssd says it can’t authenticate the drive. That console is now bricked forever. The SSD is also matched to the console, so if it breaks you can’t just pop in a new one. You have to copy some data fron it first. If you can’t copy because the drive is toast, the console is bricked. Dear Steve, as most of your subscribers, I'm also a fan of your work. I also wanted to tell you that I had covid a couple years ago so I had some really bad days that time. But one of the really good things for me on those ugly days, was to watch your videos. Awesome as always! Steve I read some posts you had chemo. I did not know. God Bless...keeping you in my prayers....I am a cancer survivor. Thanks for all you do.
My favorite part of the video besides him fixing it in minutes because people have no common sense like he does he goes " it comes with a manual we don't need that" lol I love it because he's a pro he knows more than the manual does
As a mechanical service tech I will say sometimes you'd be suprised at the little nuggets of info you can find in install manuals....even when you know how to do it, it doesnt hurt to skim through. They'll even have troubleshooting steps in some cases that can be helpful in future.
I still think that Sony should have found a better way to link the drive to the console than server-side verification. That has the potential to be a serious problem when PS5 becomes vintage hardware.
I got some good tips from your channel on soldering and fixing connectors. I was able to repair a Logitech camera USB cable and an iPhone lightning connector using some tips I learned here. I’m an A+ certified technician, and I had previous experience soldering and cleaning connectors, but your channel showed me a couple of nice tips. @@adamthiry868 I wonder what the purpose of digitally marrying it if you can put it in another unit. I suppose they can obsolesce them digitally. Basically like bricking a phone, they would just have to blacklist that drive and it's a paperweight even if it works just fine.

Wow you can now replaced and register a disc drive? I remembered on the OG Xbox and 360 you couldn’t because it was married to the motherboard and you were out of luck UNLESS mod and get the key from the broken drive and flashed into a replacement drive.
PS5 Slim is not older than one year so why customers are not repairing it under warranty? I understand that mechanical damage is not covered but I see lot of videos on youtube when PS5 has for example GPU failure and people sending it for repair to unauthorized services.
Cause not everybody is informed about this. I didn't know untill I actually read my manual 😂 you just have to pay for shipping that's it. Oh call and make a warranty claim first, if you don't have a receipt even with the model number or whatever they can actually pull up what store you purchased this at. Pretty cool.
Because not everyone have money to waste on shipping / postage costs which are expensive as hell and often get back broken items since the postal services break it again ... Also because often some of these are bought outside of stores and therefore warranty is hard to cover when you have zero legal proof that you even bought the damn thing ... There was (still is) a major shortage of PS4 and PS5 consoles in USA so many of these were imported from Europe or where ever so what now?! You casually going to ship it back to Europe or Asia for the "nearest" warranty repair shop?! Ofc not. People do whatever they can do to get by.
Something I don't understand is why people just don't return these brand new consoles. Is this not a thing in the US. When your products stops working here in EU and it's not more than two years old and you haven't cause the problem, the shop you bought it from will just return the money back to you.
Yes Steve, it is user friendly of Sony to make the Disk Drive so easily swappable on a user lever, however... as we saw even tho it is easy, it comes at a catch, we need to register the drive, so what happens down the line, let's say 10 years from now or even 20 when PS7 comes out and they shut down the registering servers for the drives, it'll become e-waste sadly unless they somehow open them up for registering without the need of connecting to their servers.
