EASY!!! I have basic knowledge of music but was interesting of how notes are played on a trumped. Seriously this chart was the best explanation I found on the Internet. Thank you.
Thank you Curtis!! you saved my life... I was struggling as a new trumpet player to put in an order all those notes so I can remember them easier!! thanks again!!
Good teacher, those days were I was learning trumpet, had it been I came across this I would have been the best, but today am learning sax. Some day I will try trumpet again for fun with your chart. thanks.
Thank you! Excellent help for getting to know the trumpet intimately, efficiently and as easily as possible. I've visualized this but haven't found it until now. I'm an adult and I've been playing for over a month now with great enjoyment and pleasure, and this is imperative.
I have been playing trombone for a year and got the first position chart from you. I started learning trumpet and came back for a fingering chart, would appreciate if you could refer me to a bflat fingering chat.
I like your content, it's useful while I'm learning trumpet. If I may leave some feedback, please look in to an external mic. A decent wireless mic doesn't need to cost more than $50. Good luck.
It can be used as an alternate fingering for 1-2, but I’m not a trumpet expert, and at least 99% of the time you just would not use 3rd valve alone. Sorry I can’t help more!
You would probably only understand it well by finding a video on his trumpet transposition works. But basically, for centuries people have used different sizes of trumpets (in the keys of C, A, Bb, and D) but they didn’t want to memorize different fingerings for each different size, so composers write the music differently for each instrument so that trumpet players can always press the same valves for the same notes, and it comes out sounding right. Make any sense?
I’d suggest you work on controlling the partials a lot - practice about a minute for each fingering and hold the same fingering while playing higher and lower to try to get 4 or 5 partials each fingering. Also, search TH-cam for “beginning trumpet lessons”. Best wishes!
I’ve never heard of a B trumpet, but yes, the fingerings and note names are the same on ALL trumpets. The sound coming out may be a different concert pitch, though.
Alright... that's fun and all, but your trumpet is tuned in Bb so when you say you're playing a 'C' in open position, you're actually playing B flat... Why doesn't your fingering chart start at B flat???
On transposing instruments you don't read music based on the actual note you hear, and instead have finger positions for notes and are called differently to simplify.
best fingering chart I ever saw it helps me understand how to play different notes and chromatic scales
i agree - this is awesome thing! thank you so much!
Send these charts they great
I played trumpet over 2 years but never knew what code that I'm blowing, this video really help me to recognise trumpet codes..thanks for this video!
Yes, this chart makes the most sense to me in learning the notes and keys- as a retired accountant. Thank you for doing this.
Wow - cool feedback from a unique kind of expert! Thanks!

Brilliantly explained. So easy to follow. Thank you so much.

Just starting back...
Thank you a lot!
Awesome thanks.

Thank you
Hello there

Freaking genius
Be my President. Super genius
Thanks man!
can i print this??
I don’t have a printer can I purchase this from you ?
Is it easy to play on trumpet?
So... how many notes/cards are in the whole deck?
It is good
Does the chart works the same if I am playing a cornet in b flat?
Yes - it’s exactly the same. :-)
omg i understand everything
What about only third valve?
It can be used as an alternate fingering for 1-2, but I’m not a trumpet expert, and at least 99% of the time you just would not use 3rd valve alone. Sorry I can’t help more!
Great chart but I don't understand the transposing of the trumpet. When you play a C @ 2:05 it's actually a A# or Bb. How does this work?
You would probably only understand it well by finding a video on his trumpet transposition works. @@StepWiseMusicEd thank you very much! Yes it makes sense.
Yes it sounds simple but getting the same note to go higher is a struggle for me
i’m previously played the trombone 2 years ago, then the flute a year ago. now i’m switching to the trumpet... wish me luck
Wow - interesting chain of instruments...good luck!
It’s my second day playing the trumpet and I’m stuck on one note
Hi i just start how can be good

Lol 😂 it’s called practice. FYI it’s not hi I just start how can be good, it’s hi I just started playing the trumpet how can I get good at it?
Try this : @
I didn't get the name of the free website. couldn't hear it well

The fingering chart for my book is weird
this is for a trumpet in C, yes? Mine is in Bflat..... :(
Really.... are you sure it isn't C? Seems like it to me
Do you know any good trumpet instructors around the Boise Idaho area I enjoyed your video
Don't worry, most 🎺's are in Bflat ;-)
my trumpet is in B so...this was ALMOST helpful
Isn’t it the same fingerings regardless what key ur trumpet is in
I’ve never heard of a B trumpet, but yes, the fingerings and note names are the same on ALL trumpets. The sound coming out may be a different concert pitch, though.
@@StepWiseMusicEd But the C on a C trumpet would be a B flat on a B flat trumpet no? so do these fingerings apply? I have a B flat trumpet

Turn off that irritating background music😡😡😡
Sorry about that - I’ll avoid this problem in future videos, but it’s too late to “fix” this one without deleting all the audio. 😕
StepWise Music the prob is when you trying to concentrate and play the vid over a few times it drives you up the wall 😱🤪🤪
thank you
Thank you very much!
