Hi Jimmy, Say, that wrap idea is a nice update for the look and at a reasonable price. I notice the 'hanger' seems to like Piper. An Aztec, Comanche, Cherokee and (modified) Apache in the background. Your Cherokee 6 is looking good. A note on the materials,,,, wrap may like other 'overpaint' ideas require some care to avoid any heavy rain or blowing dust for a while. It would make a good video to keep up with the wear of this approach and see how it holds up in normal use. We had to take special care of the NEW and NEWLY PAINTED aircraft we delivered due to the potentials for damage in weather. I would say the 'touch up' is a great idea for a solid white aircraft. Thanks for the comment. I asked the installer (Jimmy) and he said it was ready to go, wash wax, fly, etc.. The only things he mentioned was the wrap will tighten up a bit as the sun cures it and that no harsh polishing ever because it's vinyl.

That is one great looking Cherokee 6. I have always really liked the whole concept and look of the 6. Makes me want to get back into it. I’ve owned a Maule 235 and a PA-28. Both were a lot of fun. The Maule was super capable at everything, and could haul a ton; but I was partial to the Piper. That made me want the 6, but never did it.
What a huge difference. I LOVE the color and layout - not too much, just right. Your airplane now looks like a new model! Personally, I would have gone with a slightly smaller N - tail number, regardless of that, it looks incredible. I 100% agree with you on all of the airplane lawyers out there...Its amazing how smart everyone is! That gives me an idea - many of us really like Pastor Jim, however, Pat is my personal favorite, how about creating a new character? Gil T. Azelle or maybe Izzy Gil T. Arnot. Can't think of anything funny with Jimmy in it.

Jimmy for once you are right! The future is in painting aircraft white and the rest is done by wrapping. The airlines using this method for some time now. And if your plane is in a hangar it will last for a surprisingly long time. Plus the materials are getting better and better.

Thanks! We decided not to cover the front one because of the constant prop wash and oil residue that happens there. We did consider a "clear bra" type cover, but decided to keep it simple.

Where are the rest of the install videos from the trio auto pilot in the Cherokee six I’m getting ready to do one in an hour and I’m having a lot of the same issues you started showing that I never saw the final result
I put vinyl pin stripes on my plane, and now 6 years later the left side that faces the sun most of the day is now faded in color compared to the right side. Dark blue is now sky blue except under the horizontal stabilizer, and red is almost pink. But for the hour of work it will take to replace it withthe left over on the rolls I bought 6 years ago, it will be good again.
That’s nice but is there a video that shows a timeline from the time you find the plane to the time it gets back in the sky then sold ? I’m sure there’s one but I’m new to the channel

Ok. Need to catch up on your videos. What was the original color? Did you spend money getting it to all white prior to installing vinyl? Seems fair to include this in your total cost. I’m Buying a 1972 Cherokee with original paint and thinking about something like this to freshen it up
Just washed the plane before the wrap. It was solid white (as in my other video's). this paint was done in 2018, so it is still good. if you can wipe your hand on it and it is like chalk then this will not work. You need good paint for the wrap to stick to. If the paint can be cut/buffed down to good paint (depending on how thick it is and if it was hangared) then it might work. Good luck!

It's a stick on application, so I imagine if the other stripes are painted on, then yes. Just google airplane wrap and chat with someone in your area, I'm sure they can tell you more than I can. Thanks so much!

What is the Product and what are the FAA “Hoops” or approvals did you document to show Legal? I would like to do the same to my Stinson project.
