I’ve been a vegetarian for about 10 years, and I never think about food in terms of protein, carbs, or vitamins. For me, food is something that nourishes my body and my mind. I chose this lifestyle for a bigger reason-to grow spiritually and live in a way that feels right for me. I don’t eat food that involves a lot of violence, like killing animals, because I believe what we eat affects us deeply. Even eating plants does some harm, but it’s much smaller and gentler, and it fits better with my beliefs. For those who worry too much about protein or nutrients, I would say, don’t think too hard. Trust that nature gives us what we need through simple, plant-based foods. I eat grains like corn, millet, rice, and dal, and vegetables like spinach, cauliflower, broccoli, and mushrooms, and I’ve stayed healthy for years. I also eat seasonal fruits, tofu, and menchi, and they give me energy. I don’t worry about whether I’m getting enough protein, because when I eat a variety of whole foods, I know my body gets everything it needs. Sometimes it’s better to trust simple, natural food instead of worrying about numbers and labels.

Plants cannot give you complete protein they contain only 6 to 7 essential amino acids also they contain very anti nutrients which cannot be absorbed by human body without cooking but by cooking them and eating them with other plant based or Dairy based sources you can get complete protein for example eating dal and chawal or sabji and roti
major complete protein combinations: Seeds + legumes grains + legumes Additionally they (whole like ragi or brown rice or green gram) have more nutrition than any meat. Plus they’ve fibre which is a big plus for gut & heart health.
The thing is soya has all essential amino acids. And other plant sources are deficient in one kind of amino acid. That particular amino acid can be found easily in other plant foods!

Because my tummy felt light and I became much more active, it takes very less time to digest these but meat kinda makes me feel full and drowsy, it also takes time to digest it completely.
It depends. Those particularly who have insulin resistance and other hormonal issues need to maximize amino acid builders. Clean protein is key. As a former vegetarian i still do 2 days of veggie with low glycemic plant based protein and dairy like paneer and low carbs, but those days i also regulate by doing an intermittent fast. I'm quite puzzled by the well agreed scientific consensus being shared in this video, as the general context of this channel is quite anti-science or pseudoscience promoting. The consensus with plant based protein is that you target 1-1.2g per kg of body weight and variety of whole plant based foods to cover all the essential amino acids (and don't live a sedentary lifestyle, that's not healthy). And the protein overdose isn't really an issue as it was made out to be in the last statement. The sources were about meat intake, and that isn't the general consensus, a couple of studies don't prove the statement, especially when they're not understood in detail.

Good info👍🏾 our star cricketer Virat Kohli and many celebrities are vegetarians. Many body builders and gymmers consume lots of protein and it creates lots of problems for them
1. Not consuming non veg helped him, it doesn't help everyone but it's fine. 2. Virat Kohli is an athlete so he follows a strict high protein vegan diet where he skips too much flavoured food and opts for bland food. 3. It's not possible for us to get that much protein in vegan sources for a common man cuz we can't afford imported vegetables all the time. Then preparing a proper meal from them is another work and doing this multiple times in a day makes it more difficult. So for athletes it's possible as it is one of the primary things for them but not for a normal Indian who doesn't even know about quinoa, Greek yogurt etc. And obviously over consumption of anything is wrong even if it are fruits and veggies. Dosage is important but most of Indians are actually protein deficient so concept of over dosage doesn't connect with majority of indians. Also the issue bodybuilders face is many times due to consumption of Whey protein and creatine. They either take it in too much quantity or are using cheap quality whey so that is also imp if u are taking supplements

These things prove that vegetarian food is enough
Don’t listen to her incomplete advises, everybody on earth is differently build, please consult doctors or experts before trying anything, my sister is doctor and she scolded me for blindly following these idiots don’t rely only on these fake TH-camrs, stay safe❤

Plants cannot give you complete protein they contain only 6 to 7 essential amino acids also they contain very anti nutrients which cannot be absorbed by human body without cooking but by cooking them and eating them with other plant based or Dairy based sources you can get complete protein for example eating dal and chawal or sabji and roti
i agree with you
Dr hathi be like - shi bat hai 😂
major complete protein combinations:
Seeds + legumes
grains + legumes
Additionally they (whole like ragi or brown rice or green gram) have more nutrition than any meat. Plus they’ve fibre which is a big plus for gut & heart health.
Soy is a complete protein. She speaks with evidence.
The thing is soya has all essential amino acids. And other plant sources are deficient in one kind of amino acid. That particular amino acid can be found easily in other plant foods!
You need 4-5 bowls of daals in a single meal to fulfill the daily requirement of protein. Many people can't eat soya due to medical restrictions. If you have the capacity to eat 8-10 bowls of daal, then go ahead.

@@BeRozgarYuVaK Idk man. This is what I've been taught and I have many, many examples to prove this. Like most Brahmins and vegetarians! They do not eat any meat yet have enough muscle strength. I myself am an example! I didn't eat meat for 10-11 months and increased the consumption of leafy vegetables, curd and lentils to supplement the decreased consumption of meat for protein, it works and is better. Why? Because my tummy felt light and I became much more active, it takes very less time to digest these but meat kinda makes me feel full and drowsy, it also takes time to digest it completely.
It depends. Those particularly who have insulin resistance and other hormonal issues need to maximize amino acid builders. Clean protein is key. As a former vegetarian i still do 2 days of veggie with low glycemic plant based protein and dairy like paneer and low carbs, but those days i also regulate by doing an intermittent fast. It's all about balance.
Also it's plain untrue that too much protein is more harmful than too little. Way more people are eating too little protein than eating too much protein

On the anti nutrients part you are wrong , no one is consuming raw lagumes. Cooking and soaking lagumes reduces the anti nutrients count significantly to a point that it doesn’t even matter. Also no one is consuming just daal or just rice , they are eaten together for some reason , the bioavailability is lower in plant protein but if you are taking good amount of protein then the source of protein doesn’t matter. You need to study more.
