Been itching to see this 🙏 Sad that a lot of redesigns will be needed to make 3rd party kit work on the platform but at least it's not completely different from the GT bits.
Right on, thanks for showing side by side comparo 🤘 Watching the OW group react is wild lol I'm pretty new to the 'wheel community but damn lol the old XR heads are crazy feisty. I'm convinced there is no possible board they could have came out with that would have gotten their seal of approval. I swear some people will complain about not having enough to complain about! 😂
Yeah… The relationship between those who have been around the sport for a while and Future Motion is a rocky one at best. I’ve been around since 2019 and I understand it completely. At the end of the day, we just have to focus on what makes us happy though. If that’s FM’s products, great. If not, great. Everybody’s got unique needs.
What's the point of the XR Classic if it's rails are just as long and the width is just as wide as a GT? It seems to me that we're just getting a GT with new rails and less range, with a smaller hub. Am I missing something else?
It might eventually be possible, but there are compatibility issues between the XRC BMS and the GT controller. Would likely need to swap both the BMS and controller from a GT in order for it to operate (and you'd also need to be able to access Factory Mode to clear the 'Corrupted memory' error).
The controller would definitely fit because they both have the same exact box and PCB (this is confirmed in my teardown video). However, I do not have confidence that the GTS battery would fit in the XRC battery enclosure. The GTS battery hasn’t really been messed with due to the inability for us to recover a GTS after a ‘Corrupted memory’ error.
I tried to put a GT fender delete on the XRC and it did not fit. The full GT fenders clip into the axle blocks on the GT/GTS and the axle blocks on the XRC are different. Split fenders may still work.
The XR Classic battery is unique to the XR Classic. It’s an 18s2p configuration (just like the GT) that uses 18650 cells (just like the XR and Pint/X). Capacity is 388.8 Wh.
They appear to be. I didn’t specifically measure them, but the top down view of all of them next to each other makes it look like they’re all the same exact length.
Out here giving us XR classic content when no one else is
Dude siriously! Like where is everyone’s XR C??
Great to see you pumping out XRC content! Keep it up!

Your doing Gods work sir.
Dude thank you for all the informative videos on the new xr classic❤🙏
You’re welcome! Glad you’ve found them to be helpful.
Everyone should know the GT uses 21700 cells vs smaller 18650 in the classic
Everyone should probably know a lot of things, but that’s not how things generally work out. 😂
does the XRC charge port line up on the GT rails?
Sure does! 💯

Smaller battery, less weight, better for tricks, looks cooler.
Lowered position of the hub I guess
That's it in a nutshell. This board's not gonna be for everybody for sure, but it's a neat form factor.
Could you retrofit gt wtf rails onto a xrc?
Yes. It might not ride comfortably as far as the orientation goes, but you could.
If they release an XRC battery module, it might be possible to convert a GT to an XRC? If anyone loves the form factor enough to want less range.

GTS controler / battery could be fit inside XRC controler / battery boxes...

Any chance that GT fenders will fit on the straight rail XRC? I'm wondering if my drop top fender from the float life would work with it
Yeah, they mentioned it, gt fenders and footpads will fit
I tried to put a GT fender delete on the XRC and it did not fit. The full GT fenders clip into the axle blocks on the GT/GTS and the axle blocks on the XRC are different. Split fenders may still work.
Thanks @@fixmypev you're the best 👊
Are you considering the GTV drop-in kit for the XRC? Will it work?
He already did it.
@@dreadziarz so he's riding VESC in his videos?
Fake news... Until yesterday. 🤫
Not gonna make any promises, but you might want to see the video I just uploaded. 😉
Since the XRc is dropped. Putting GT rails on would raise it
That's correct. 💯
I'm guessing the the XR classic uses the Pint X battery module.
It doesn’t, different voltage.

@@fixmypev So same width and lenght as GT then. Interesting
@@chodarth Yep! FM has the dimensions listed on their 'Compare' tool on their website and they're exactly the same as each other.
👀 🙌🏾
Grind ur gt battery box to switch to xr classic rails 😂
Right. Haha. You’d be grinding into your battery at that point…and burning your house down.
