For many of you calling Adventist a cult it's funny you call us that but over 125 years ago EGW wrote the Ministry of Healing which it wasn't until the 1950's doctor's and scientist started to confirm what EGW wrote about health. This small frail woman could not have had the info she had unless it was given to her by the Holy Spirit and that's just fact, or have you forgotten the Bible says near the end of this world your women shall prophesy , your young men shall have visions and your old men shall have dreams, not only that but everything this woman wrote was on point according to the Bible as long as you don't try to take it out of context as so many of people do.

As I understand it, the Standard American Diet was developed by George Kellogg, the owner of Kellogg foods. Mr. Kellogg was a Seventh Day Adventist who believed in a diet of mostly plant food. It has been said that Mr. Kellogg was promoting his own business interests in doing so. He used George McGovern to get the Standard American Diet pyramid passed through Congress and adopted by the American Medical Association. How is that working now? After decades of following the later Obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc...

Kellog was a seventh day adventist and it fits with the vegan diet. Ppl following full vegan are often mentally different. Kellog wanted food to not be sth fun. This was his main goal. It was a way to diminish joy in life so men masturbate less.
But kellogs changed into a highsugar food due to his brother trying to raise profit(and did so successfully). The combination of pharma not allowing any discourse from the motion that saturated fat is bad and combination of high sugar foods was a win win for everybody besides the population.
Cholesterol was basically wanted in the 300ranges not that long ago. But with statins they lowered the numbers each year. Whatever is average was lowered to raise statin sales. While constant sugarintake would fry your pancreas making you diabetic. Raising thus cholesterol and triglycerides and lowering hdl. Not to mention its easy to feed ppl on cheap grains. That's what almost wrecked Japan backthen. White rice so processed it made half of the population sick.
The vegan diet works for ppl eating not much. You eat big calorie void meals which don't satiate much. But eating is so boring u don't eat much.
So ppl manage to eat 2k kcal at best and likely less, not fattening up blood and overall leading boring life's. In bed by 22. No alcohol or drugs. Good longevity.
Doesn't work for ppl stimulated by everything and trying living to the fullest. Will just end up fat and unhealthy. They wanna blame sat fat but they forget the avrg person not caring can prob rack up 10k kcal on a Friday nights out of more sat fat than a vegan will get in his whole year unless he eats vegan junk filled with coconut oil

Reading the books of the New Testament, we possibly asked ourselves more than once: *"Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?"* Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years?
The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20). Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform. In this world, the great fertility of atheism can be explained by the fact that there is no main opponent of critics of the Bible - the Church. If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century - Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist.
Find *"The Mystery about the Church of Christ"* video on TH-cam, which shows the real causes of Christian sects and atheism. The video reveals a prophecy about the disappearance and reappearance of the Church of Christ before the end of the world. Watching this video will bring joy to all who sincerely seek God and will interest those who are not too lazy to think freely. "There were 2570 deaths among 73 308 participants during a mean follow-up time of 5.79 years. The mortality rate was 6.05 (95% CI, 5.82-6.29) deaths per 1000 person-years. The adjusted hazard ratio (HR) for all-cause mortality in all vegetarians combined vs non-vegetarians was 0.88 (95% CI, 0.80-0.97). The adjusted HR for all-cause mortality in vegans was 0.85 (95% CI, 0.73-1.01); in lacto-ovo-vegetarians, 0.91 (95% CI, 0.82-1.00); in pesco-vegetarians, 0.81 (95% CI, 0.69-0.94); and in semi-vegetarians, 0.92 (95% CI, 0.75-1.13) compared with nonvegetarians. "
Notice the confidence intervals, though. Hard to draw great conclusions from ranges that overlap so much.

@@JonathanDLynch Not all vegans get enough Omega-3. Ground flax seeds, chia and walnuts have some ALA, but some people can't convert enough to EPA and DHA for optimal health. I take a DHA supplement made from algae to make sure I get enough.
Fish can contain toxins like mercury, microplastics, etc. that bio-accumulate up the food chain.

@@someguy2135 definitely best to find safer sources of fish. I like pond-raised catfish, for example.

@@JonathanDLynch If you are going to eat fish, look for the ones as low on the food chain as possible. Sardines, for example. That avoids bio-accumulation from eating smaller fish and adding their toxins. Are catfish low on the food chain?
Another reason to avoid fish is the environmental and bio diversity damage that fishing causes. I wouldn't eat fish because I couldn't justify paying for killing sentient beings for my taste pleasure.

For myself I grew up being taught that drinking alcohol was a sin. I have learned that, that is not true. Instead drinking alcohol is healthy in moderation. Now I am trying to get in the habit of drinking more alcohol so I can have better health. I have and I recommend anyone give up soft drinks because they are loaded with corn syrup. They will put you in the grave. My sister said when she was young that she promised herself that; when she got older she would drink all the soft drinks she wanted. She was on dialysis for 10 years before dying of a heart attack in her 60s. My mother also had a 6 bypass in her 60s plus stents, and major osteoporosis. Also my brother had open heart surgery in his 60s.And you guessed it, they didn't drink alcohol. But sadly, today we seldom here about the soft drink addiction or how they are destroying people's lives. 🙂 in contrast my in laws have drunk alcohol all their lives. My father in law is 90 now and my mother in law is in her 80s. They are both still going. And neither one have ever had a surgery in their whole life. Another example most people have heard of is George Burns.
Fact is if you drink alcohol in moderation and get rid of soft drinks etc. You will be healthier and add years to your life!!!!
Many think drinking alcohol is a sin because of Proverbs 23:31-33 "Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder. Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things."
However red fermented wine, is the same color as before it was fermented. Plus you can get drunk on white wine. And fermented wine does not move either.
What it is talking about in Proverbs 23:31-33 is Do not continue drinking when you can feel your face has turned red and things around the room or the cup looks like it is moving due to you being drunk; do not continue to drink or you will be saying all kinds of perverse things to women strangers etc. because you are over drunk.
The translation could be better. Fact is the Bible never teaches against drinking alcohol,. It only teaches not to overdo it, and for people like Judges, not to be drunk when hearing cases. Etc.
It is the same with eating meat. Vegetarians have a shorter lifespan. To get the best health a person needs some animal fat as well, whether butter or in meat fat. Remember how Christ talked of the fattened calf being killed to be eaten in celebration of the prodigal son returning. A shortage of animal fats also shortens lifespans. Most try to replace animal fat with seed vegetable oil, and the seed vegetable oils are very bad for our health. The seed oils are about as bad or worse than the seed sweeteners like corn syrup and brown rice syrup. To give you an example:I knew a vegan SDA pastor who died of brain cancer.
