Hats off to Owen--a great example of the excellent quality of work created by those of us who grew up long before phone-based "photography" existed. Just as pilots tend to be better when they learn to fly tail draggers with steam gauges, photographers tend to be better when they learn to shoot film with manual cameras. You can really appreciate the difference a more experienced eye can make and also how important it is to keep pushing your passion for as long as you can hold a camera. That said, as a fellow musician/composer, I must agree with your album analogy. I'm in the very lengthy and difficult (for me, anyway) process of curation for publication and I've determined that separate books with related images work better than trying to cram too much into a "retrospective" (that's better suited to Instagram). Rearranging prints on the floor to achieve the right flow is a great tool. The box approach is also very creative.

Great work as always 👏 strangely I like the way you rip the mail open at the start 😀 Recently I was listening to a podcast where this photographer would leave pist cards of his work in cafe etc and he often left them inside books in book shops - lots of different ideas
The “Portable Exhibition” is a great idea, got me thinking on how to pull something like this off. Love your videos Ted, thanks for the inspiration. Congratulations to those whose work you featured, stellar work by all involved.
The “exhibition in a box” is reminiscent of famed British fashion & portrait photographer David Bailey’s 1965 “Box of Pinups,” a boxed collection of 36 portraits of the most famous faces of the 1960s. People did exactly what you suggested, pinned them like posters on their wall to create their own gallery of selected photos. Today, the collection, if you can even find it complete in good condition, sells for thousands of dollars.

Perhaps a monthly exhibition at your studio of your favourite photos from the zines, books etc that you get sent? Might only be a one night a month it’s open but how good to have like minded people attend and chat all things photography.
I loved the "exhibition in a box" It would be a cool idea to mail photos to each other by passing around your own work as you collect and share with everyone. I wonder how many times you can pass around one photo or one postcard?
I personally love the idea of the photo exhibition in a box! It’s unique in that it’s not very common, yet it’s also quite timeless as it stems from postcards which have been around for ages. I think a unique way of displaying them would be to have a “tasseled display” Where they can hang and have a set of images on each side! Great video always, Ted!
